Verisimilar warfare and more moving possibilities.
Tietokone replied to Spartan Rider's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
Halo doesn't need an aiming down sights feature, there is an aiming system in the helmet, and some weapons have scopes because the helmet's zoom is not infinite. Or it's for gameplay's sake, like the AR's inaccuracy, and plasma pistol's weakness (in the books it's a nasty little thing). I'm not sure which it is, officially. Other features like climbing over obstacles instead of jumping, swimming, lying down in addition to crouching, grabbing onto edges, then pulling yourself up, those I wouldn't mind seeing. It feels kinda stupid sometimes to jump 3 metres up to get over a 1 meter tall rock.- 11 replies

343 Please read! I beg you
Tietokone replied to Fernando Concepcion Jr.'s topic in Halo 5: Guardians
How would the Forerunners make new AIs when they're are all dead or hiding, and how would they get to spartans? Do you mean that a Forerunner left a geas in humans so all human AIs would eventually try to destroy humanity, and that's what causes rampancy (which would go against established lore)? Most Forerunners at the end of the Forerunner-Flood war liked humans, and wanted us to reclaim what they left behind, the Ur-Didact was an exception, and even he was temporarely captured by Gravemind before he was locked up on Requiem. How would he leave a geas without Lifeworkers noticing? Since when have all spartans had their own AIs? I could see S-IIs defend Halsey or S-IVs join the Insurrection and go against the UNSC that way, but I don't get the AI thing. -
Amazing work, I've never seen anything like this made about Halo. Looking forward to new pics!

Palmer is a great as a battle-hardened ex-ODST. People hate her for calling scientists eggheads? She's just talking ****, like every other soldier, like Johnson when he called Spark a lightbulb, had the "stick 'n' a rock" speech, and "translated" the Regret-message. Halsey had kidnapped kids, and then she (seemed) to help an enemy that had brought humanity near extinction just a few years ago, so it's not so hard to see why she's not as popular as a mankind's savior usually is. Palmer does hate her a little too much to be just general disgust, though. Something more personal going on? Just a guess, but still, she gets a lot of hate for reasons that don't make sense, atleast to me. Also, we've only seen her for a very little time. There's still new things to discover about Palmer.

All I would add is precision editing to be what it was in Reach (hold down left stick). Otherwise sounds great. Bots I'd like but they probably won't be there.

Reach was re-colonized in 2589, if Halopedia is right, so a colonized Reach we probably won't see for a while, but a glassed one maybe. There isn't a whole lot left there, so I think Reach won't be seen in future Halos, even though it would be awesome, if there was a good reason to go there. As for Cortana, she was created from Halsey's cloned brains, but with new cloned brains it wouldn't be the same, it'd be another AI very similar to Cortana, even Cortana said so. There already we're cloned brains that Halsey had put into cryo that might be even closer to Cortana, but they're most likely destroyed (and they still wouldn't be her). The forerunner thing under Sword Base wasn't used when creating Cortana, she was examining it with Halsey (Halopedia again, but they had good sources). But still, I want to see Reach again! Maybe Insurrectionists have a secret base there? Pirates' and other bad guys' meeting place? It's possible, but in my opinion, not very likely.

I honestly have no idea where the Arbiter could be, after reading Thursday War. I hope that he'll be back though. Mortal Dictata will probably have something about him, but that's not until 5 months. He is a great character, and he'd be a perfect opposite to Jul 'Mdama (also a great character). 343 will probably have the Arbiter involved in the story in some way, there are a lot people who like him.

I'm not sure if you mean this to be more like Firefight or Multiplayer, but either way, it sounds good. But you should also have Broadswords and Liches. I think it's likely there will be a space battle similar to this in the next Halo's campaign, but a gametype, I'm not so sure. Just gotta keep our fingers crossed.

The Scarabs should absolutely return. The lich was kind of similar, but the battle wasn't executed very well. We could've had a UNSC aircraft in the mission, and have an epic fight, but maybe next time then. A battle with a Lich could be really fun, but Scarabs are just classic. I want both. Hopefully they'll be in Halo 5 (or "Halo Xbox One").

Commanding Allies with your Voice (kinect)
Tietokone replied to TyranicSlayer's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
I think the voice commands like "I'll drive" would be cool, but any motion control stuff would absolutely not be that way, except for making a custom stance for your spartan or some machinima stuff(press a button instead of meleeing it), but nothing that you could use the controller for. It would just be awful. -
Ability to change color of UNSC Vehicles.
Tietokone replied to I<3Grunts's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
I think you could change the mongoose's color in Reach, but not any other vehicle's color. It would be an awesome feature, though. -
I don't think Halo 4's music was that bad, most tracks were good, some were amazing, and some were kind of meh. The first time I played, some of the music didn't feel Halo, but later on I've got used to them and they don't feel so odd anymore. It wasn't quite as original though. Not a single track sounded like it could be from any random action movie, but some were close. I don't necessarily want them to just copy the original trilogy's style, I want them to have their own style, and in my opinion, they did.

This all sounds Really cool, I miss Invasion, and it'd be great to have it back with new features. I doubt that we'll have AI with us in multiplayer, but hey, I didn't expect Flood to have actual zombies instead of green spartans. It might happen.

You have a good point, Didact is a god to them... It would be a fragile alliance, but so it was before.
-
The brutes were in a state of civil war between tribes as of 2553, but they could have become stronger by the time Halo 5 takes place, but still weak. You could have a small encouter with them, but they shouldn't be the biggest threat. Jul M'dama's forces should be UNSC's main focus. Didact couldn't really unite the old Covenant though, because the religion of 'Mdam's cult is based on the religion before the San'Shyuum and Sangheili even met. And the brutes would never join UNSC or the Arbiter. They did join Insurrectionists though. Maybe in Halo 5 we'll be fighting a bunch of human colonists, brutes and Kig-Yar. That would be interesting.

@ A6ENT MA1NE The loadouts can make for interesting custom games, so they are a good addition, but there should also be a "classic" or competetive option. If you make a custom gametype without loadouts etc, and a well balanced map, Halo 4 can be good for competetive gameplay (at least I think so), but that gametype should be built in, not a custom made one. And it should of course have its own playlist(s). I think the divided playlists like in Halo 3 would be a really good way to make it so you could play how you wanted. To use your parable, you should be able to take the two-seater off when you want to. You don't always need or want it.

For campaign, I want more variety. Halo 4 was mostly just the basic combat scenario: there's 5-25 enemies, a mid-sized area to fight. I want that, but I also want big battles, where you can drive a warthog in one direction for 5 minutes, guns blazing. And small, bleak hallways with a couple of guards who you need to take down quietly. And more aggressive A.I. Only prometheans advance slightly, Covies just stand in one spot waiting for you. And allies that are more complex, SW: Republic Commando style. For multiplayer they should bring back Invasion and elites, as well as support for the competetive community. They've supported it post launch but they should have supported it from the start. And get rid of weapon drops. I'm tired of that "thump" noise I hear in every match. Loadouts are fine in some gametypes, like Invasion or Flood, but not in CTF, especially if it's supposed to be competetive. Unless they are actually balanced well, but I'm not a good judge on that type of stuff.

cheifs new armour and "evolutionary journey gifts/abilities"
Tietokone replied to spartan-11's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
The telekinesis thing is a constraint field, it's a thing that Warrior-Servants(certain forerunners) have in their armor. I think Chief has the Mark VI in the trailer because they haven't yet designed the new armor. I mean, how could they not make a new armor for Chief? Mark VI is outdated, and the Mark VII was created right after Chief went missing. Maybe we'll have Mark VIII ! I'm not entirely sure , but maybe one of the "gifts" would be access to the Domain? SPOILER: In Silentium, it is implied that the Domain was destroyed along with everything else Precursor, but maybe the ability to connect to it would unite Chief's and Ur-Didact's minds, allowing the latter to communicate with the Chief the way he did in the last couple missions of Halo 4. That could make Chief kinda crazy, if Didact survived and is talking to him telepathically... Could create some interesting scenarios. -
2 years is a short time. Doesn't necessarily mean it'll be bad but its a legit concern. It might turn out like Halo 4 where campaign is ready but the multiplayer is closer to a beta. If the game was singleplayer-only, with an access to a mp beta in the future, that would be awesome. Enough time for both modes. Of course a game with mp and campaign would be the best, but since it IS coming out in 2014 I think that could actually work better in this case. I doubt they'd do that though.

I wouldn't trust Google's or any other translating service to be too accurate. It is probably some completely other game that has the word "Halo" in it's name. At least that seems most probable to me.

I think Halo 4s version is the best. I haven't played CE's multiplayer, but if it's similar to campaign I think it's a bit too powerful. In 2, 3 and Reach it was useless. I find myself often using it instead of the AR at medium range in 4. So 4s is the the best, but CE's is a lot better than 2s and 3s etc.

Sounds good, but I'd like to be able to change the settings, but have it so your rank doesn't go up etc. That would be awesome.

I don't want Cortana to return. Cortana's mortality was half of the story of Halo 4 (the other being the Didact). I'm fine with flashbacks and maybe Walking Dead-style hallucinations, but if she actually survived, it'd ruin the impact her death had. I could see her returning in Halo 6, because then the characters and the player would've already accepted the fact that she's dead. Then her return would be an actual relief instead of just a "I knew ya were goin' nowhere". But still it'd be better for her to stay dead. A little off topic, I do want the Didact back immediately though; he's a fairly new character and he didn't get a lot of exploration in Halo 4. Hopefully he'll come back more dangerous like the Flood did in Halo 2.

If I remember right, 343 said they'll only test SO and continue if it's succesful.I thought it was good but there are a lot of people who didn 't.Then again firefight wasn't the most popular thing, at least in Reach. That's why there's SO. We'll have to wait and see what's next. I hope it's SO, but even better.

I had hoped they'd make season 2 in Halo 4, but I don't think they'll do it, because the new consoles are coming out, and it wouldn't be a great idea to make new content for a previous generation game, when they could be focusing on next gen, Halo 5. Halo 5 will probably have something similar to Spartan Ops, but I'm not sure it can be called a season 2 since it'd be another game.
