please make a option to prioritize searching for best connenction, i am a kiwi, i just read a post from an ozzy about the same thing, there are plenty of players populating the game types for players to find matches, and if you take out the lag you take out the sick feeling when we have to play meekly btw, i am enjoying the game, tbh i wont be playing it as much as i played h3 simply because without true skill ranks at least visible to myself, i dont see any point in thoroughly improving my skills, as there is no payoff. h3 may have peaked the halo franchise, they did extraordinarily well, very hard to follow, good try. -
my suspicion is, 343 wants to take the smack talk out of games, doing their bit with their game, in a video about "slayer pro"(i think it was called), the commentator mentioned "so the hard core players can still speak about doing ungodly things to each others mothers" its true... where did the famous "teabag" come from? people suceed in life by putting in the work, a skill is developed for many people with a ranked system I played because i liked the extremely high skill level games, one out of tenish times there was a deranker, but it was worth it, and this problem could be fixed if the rank system assumed all players in a party were as good as the best player in the party... how then would the derankers statistics come into play? the solution seems so simple that I wonder what 343s agenda is along with making game types accessable to social and ranked driven players, doesn't this solve all but the problem of bad sportsmanship?

theres alot of hurted people talking in a hurted manner... it would be more productive to be at peace with whatever comes, while lobbying for what you would prefer, listing the reasons why 1) epic matches the ranking system made me afraid to lose, I would get my 49 in h3, and every win/loss meant alot to me, it meant alot to almost everyone at that level, so players would bring their best game. we would see high level tactics, especialy in mlg(just watch one of ninjashyper mlg demonstrations), truely awe inspiring to see how smart people can be when motivated. we would see players focus so much that the shots they could hit were amazing (snip3down) when motivated people who never met each other before became blood brothers for the duration of the game at the higher levels, because only when united could they have a chance... when motivated weapon tricks, players would spend hours figuring out different tricks they could use... i remember the favorite one used on me, I had the shotgun inside the bubblesheild and a player had the sniper outside the bubble sheild, now looking at this situation i had the clear advantage, because my crosshair was larger and I could get a one shot kill by hitting any part of his body at close range, where as he could only get a one shot kill if he hit a head shot, while his cross hair was tiny, we stood there for a breif moment assessing the situation, distance from each other, spartan sheild health, escape routes(there were none), enemy team mate location, equipment available.. and after that millisecond he backed off slightly and started reloading his sniper.... wow! i got him! I stepped out to chase him down with my shotgun, and mid-reload he stuck me with a plasma nade XD... so clever when motivated. I did alot of tricks to... not just getting owned, like anticipating a enemy with a rocket launcher, getting close enough throw out my bubble sheild and make his rocket explode in his face, or being isolated against an enemy team and using cover to take down enemys one by one as they tried to rush in and finish me off one time I played against the real walshy, he was chasing me as my sheilds were low, it was on the pit, my snipe tower, i was at snipe 1, he was at our training, he dropped my sheilds then ran towards me, so i went up snipe ramp and as i got to the top i took some br damage so i knew he was chasing me hard, i dropped down beside the airlift and went into snipe 1 again, but i didnt go any further, i waited in that entry way and calculated how long it would take him to come up snipe ramp and drop down to look for me... missisipi one, missisipi two, missisipi three, now! right then i moved to the fence hugging the walls without lifting up, i turned around and he had jumped and dropped down right in front of me with his back to me looking in to snipe one... assassination.. i just had to teabag, which i apologised for after the game just because i recognised the name, he got his revenge anyway with a four shot lol. and we lost I played the real neighbor, and won, not a big deal, i know hes a better shot than me, but I cought him out enough times for the win. one time he had the sniper, i noticed on my hud he killed my team mate, and he knew where i was, if he could get back to his position on br 3 blackout, he could get a shot on me at snipe2... i calculated the time it would take for him to get back into position and how long it would take for me to get back to cover... he had enough time for one shot, i couldn't do anything about it, so what i did was, instead of continuing moving to cover, as soon as i saw him pop up and prepare his shot, i moved further out into the open, he took his shot, which would have sniped me if i had kept trying to find cover btw, and then i went back towards cover. epic matches... this is not the giggles type of fun, not the picnic type of fun, its the satisfaction type of fun a visual type of ranking system shows other commited players your capabilities, which is respected within that community, and, more importantly, it gives players a motivation to learn the skills that create those oh so satisfying matches for all players, friend and foe alike.

"why no warthog?" because the driving pathways are surrounded too closely by tall overlooking buildings, meaning that if you were to try using the warthog, your opportunities to shoot at players would be very short, as they could just fall back, and changing targets from one building to the next would take to long for the brief time you could spend shooting, leaving you very vulnerable. you could try using the warthog as merely a distraction tool as your team mates clear out the buildings, this would work against beginner and average players, but against advanced players it would just leave you short staffed on the front line. also against advanced players, since your only use for the warthog would be to drive through areas quickly, your driving path is predictable, so assulting the warthog wouldn't be too difficult. there is one area on the map where the warthog could be used defensively if your team gives the driver call outs, this area is the building seperated from the cluster of buildings, the defensive use for this would include protecting an odd ball carrier, and the enemy team would have to coordinate to assault the carrier or outsmart the driver. but even this use for the warthog is limited because the open area is not very large and doesn't give the driver much space to work in

wow didn't know it was illegal... can't realy believe it either... I create an account on my xbox, if I planned to sell it I would definitely use a store bought code and then I sell the login details to someone else if microsoft still held rights to your account, like the government does to paper money, then it could be illegal care to elaborate?

elites had no special abilties, nor could you see yourself as one, I dont get how you would care so much

deranking worked because high xp low skill players partied up with new accounts, and the system gave that party a low expected win chance, so if they did win, it would count as an exception effort on the part of the new player this could be fixed by cancelling out the expexted win chance if players partied up... right?

elites probably wont come back... it doesn't make sense in "war games", it made sense in halo three because elites were exiled but realy, no big deal. armor skins will satisfy

thats exactly what i did with reach, who would even say halo doesn't need a ranking system? I'm not answering that but to us competitive players the answer is obvious. we can't do much about it now, it needs a ranking system, why else would I learn to jump from S1 to elbow (h3)? why else would I spend 4 hours learning to br from street to street on construct? why else would I spend hours on each map in forge throwing grenades to learn landing spots? why else would I put anything in my fileshare? why would anyone else bother with that stuff if it doesn't give them a rank that sets them apart from everyone else? and THEN.... how much fun is the game gonna be if there is none of that excellence by me/for me/against me? asked and answered.

it seems like the only problem to halo ranking systems is deranking, and deranking only works if one player in your party has a weak looking record... it seems like an easy fix, remove the influence of the weaker players account if that player is in a party, assume all players in a party are as good as the best player in the party. done. "selling accounts", how is that a problem? it might make players constantly farm noobs when buying a new account, but as someone who was a noob once, I never noticed. it gives people an income? so. what are the producers of the game, the mafia? they gotta have a piece of any action on their block? @the director, was boosting really that profitable? I would get so pissed at boosters saying "get over it, halo 3 is so old now, and you still boost, ride a bike dude".. but now i hear of some potentialy lucrative profits in it I'm taken back, what kind of consumer base is there? what kind of charge were you giving people? was there a competitive market? could you boost me in mlg? theres next to none players in mlg now, except at the highest levels, how much we looking at? when boosting players you still had to win the game, what type of pregame lesson did you give players so they wouldn't lose the game?

1) bit of a long post, not realy my up of tea, sounded a bit naggy 2) objectives should be completed, that can be done by rewarding the win, not the stats. stats in halo 3 were just good for your bungie stats, but nobody cared about anyone elses bungie stats, so padding the stats was seldom

yeah I dont want to hear another annoucer, but I wouldn't be against other players having the option I just would hate to have a classic song sung by one of the contestants on american idol and wreck it for me, same thing with announcer
