  10. THE HALO WORD GAME So I made this in one other Forum, and shall do the same here. The basic idea, is that I start with a word, and the next word must start with the last letter of that word. For example, if I say "Cortana", the next word must start with an A. "Arbiter". Then, the word after shall start with an R. I think you guys get the basic idea, so after some thorough reading of some boring rules, we'll begin. RULES: -All words must be Halo-related. -Must be an existing name/word. -No two words may be on the one page. -Have fun. The beginning word shall be... Halo
  11. I have a.. Microphone, small keyboard and some scissors. Haha, I'll survive, see you guys in the afterlife.
  12. Something I wrote two years ago.... _______________________________|Roger|________________________________________ The axe strikes the wood of the tree. The wielder, whose hand has now become inflamed with sores and wounds, trembles as his last strike brings the tree to a collapse. As do his limbs. He passes out, as his view of the world begins to spiral until all that is left to see, is the black of his shut eyelids. Roger was his name… Awakened by the screeching and squealing of his winged companion, Roger is immediately aware of his situation. Masked Bandits, upon their horses with flaming hooves and eyes, begin surrounding their whereabouts. Roger, armed with nothing more than a tomahawk, throws it towards one of the bandits. As the tomahawk continues to hurdle towards the target, Roger becomes greatly intimidated by his foe. The Bandits are very horrific in nature, and are masked by the skull of their most recent kill. What exists beyond the mask is still to be discovered, but Roger didn’t want to find out. The axe penetrates the Bandit’s flesh, and sends it tumbling of its horse. Roger sprinted up towards the corpse, removed the axe, before the body became flames and into ashes. He continued to make his escape. Running alongside him was his griffin, Skylar. Roger took a firm grip onto Skylar’s torso, and threw himself onto the griffin’s back. The commander of the gang of Bandits wasn’t far behind. His horse began to close in on Skylar. They were catching up. As Roger’s companion hastily attempted to take flight, the commander began to load a bolt into his crossbow. Skylar finally took off, but as Roger began to ascend into the clouds, a sharp bolt from the commander slit the wing of the griffin, revealing a deep wound. All that Roger could hear was the loud, painful squawking of Skylar. Their climb soon became a fall. Roger was aware of their situation, but was sure that they’d made enough ground to keep the Bandits at bay for a day or two. They finally descend to the ground, hitting hard against the mountain’s face. Roger’s limbs were sore from both the wood cutting and the impact from collision. With his face filled with dust, and his mouth gone dry, he had to find water. That wasn’t the only mission in mind. His goal was to find the rest of the griffins, and reunite Skylar with them. He knew the Bandits were just an attempt by the new King to stop them. The new King was afraid that the griffins would attack him for murdering the King before him. So he would send all of the murderous forces under his power to bring them to extinction. With nothing but wood in his backpack, he began to craft arrows, and then a bow. He knew that he wouldn’t last a week without food or water, so he planned to hunt for a few days to last the rest of the journey. With all of this wood, he decided to make a fire and stay the night on the cliff. After heaping splinters of wood and log into a pile, he pondered on how he would create a spark. He remembered earlier when he removed the tomahawk from the Bandit’s body; the body immediately catching alight. Perhaps their blood was highly flammable? Dark, red blood was still present on the axe. He picked up a nearby rock and began to grind the axe’s sharp edge along it. He continued to grind the axe, creating sparks that flew through the air. Grind after grind, sparks continued to shoot up into his face until his nose began to sting. The blood was too dry. With his failed attempt, Roger furiously lobbed the tomahawk at the cliff face. The great impact shot another array of sparks, but unlike before, the sparks soon became small flames. These flames fell on the ground and began to grow. The flames continued to grow until finally it became a steady blaze. Roger and Skylar both looked at each other with amazement. Roger’s eyes became filled with delight, as the warmth surrounded him. With cuts, bruises and numb hands, he peacefully dozed into a deep dream. Meanwhile, the Bandits looked through their binoculars at the trail of smoke in the sky. They were prepared to close in on Roger and his companion and began to make their way towards the mountain. Their language was foreign; not understood by any being other than their race. What they planned to do with Roger was unknown… He couldn’t move. Why? He was standing up, with his arms by his side. He could see around him. He was surrounded by Bandits, all loading crossbows. Their bolts were loaded, and they began to take aim on Roger. He was panicking, his body began to sweat, and his face trembled with fear. He continued his attempt move and run, but he simply couldn’t. They all began firing their crossbows, and one by one the bolts would make contact with Roger’s flesh. They were extremely cold, and stung like wasps. Tears began to swell in his eyes, as the bolts didn’t cease, and continued to pierce his flesh. The cold of the bolts spread through his body. His skin became pale; his body became stiff and numb. He looked around and saw one bolt heading for his forehead, and just before it struck— He woke up. It was just a dream, only, his body still felt cold. He examined his surroundings and saw a bright, white, carpet of snow. It covered his body. He was freezing, and the fire was out. Not only was the fire gone, but the griffin too. Roger panicked, and headed down-hill towards a lake. The snow had already began to melt and the ice started to split up on top of the lake. Even though he was freezing, he washed his face in the water. When he looked up he saw Skylar, drinking from the lake. His feeling of relief outdid his feeling of cold and pain. All of a sudden he felt safe and healthy again. Roger walked with Skylar up the mountain to their campsite. He knew the Bandits wouldn’t be far behind, so he began to hastily pack his items into the backpack. As he tied up his back, he looked up and saw markings a rock wall nearby. They were scratch marks, similar to those on the wall at which he threw his tomahawk at. Something was strange. He began to make a steady pace towards the edge of the mountain until a crossbow bolt flew past his face and into the tree in front of him. He turned around and yet another bolt shot past his face. This one was of steadier aiming, and slit his cheek. He spotted the being responsible. It was the Bandit commander; he could recognise the skull mask over its face. He quickly drew his bow and a single arrow, and then fired it off at the creature. It curved incredibly and missed by a mile. He then drew another, but by the time it was loaded, he saw the Bandit’s eyes already thinking about the next skull it would wear, with its crossbow ready to fire. Before it managed to shoot Skylar came down from above with claws of steel. The griffin pinned the Bandit to the ground, giving Roger enough time to escape. He tripped over a branch, toppled over, and began to tumble down the mountain. Once he hit the bottom, he heard the horrifying war cries and screams of the Bandits. He knew he couldn’t outrun them on their horses, so he dove into the lake. The cold of the water made it hard to hold his breath, and could feel his muscles becoming stiff. The Bandits and horses moved swiftly past the lake. Roger pushed off the bottom of the lake and resurfaced, gasping for air. He clambered up onto the shore and laid there for a while, trying to refill his lungs and get the blood pumping through his veins. Skylar then came down from the trees and placed itself adjacent to him. Roger stroked the griffin’s head, admiring the delicate display of feathers. He then thought back at how the arrow didn’t fly straight; he needed some form of quivers on the arrow. He plucked a hand-full of feathers from Skylar and began to slit slots into the arrows, prior to placing the feathers in them. Roger sat there admiring his piece of work. They walked along the edge of the lake, weary of the many dangers that lurked. As he walked along, he spotted a bird plucking the seeds in the ground. It was strange; it had four wings and a mohawk of colourful feathers. Roger felt his stomach rumble. He slowly and steadily drew an arrow from his backpack, bow in hand. He then held his breath and took aim at the creature. He shot the arrow and pierced the bird’s side. It tumbled around for a while and attempted to take off. Roger pulled out his tomahawk and threw it. The sight was gruesome, but worthwhile. Roger drew the blood of the Bandit from Skylar’s claws and spread it on a rock. He grinded the axe against it and it conveniently set alight. The tree cover would prevent the Bandits from spotting the smoke trail again. After skewing the bird onto a stick and over the fire, he sat still for a while, wondering about the outcomes of his journey. The griffins once guarded the land and he was sure that reuniting Skylar with the group would provoke them to take the land back, considering how much it fought for him. His wounds were healing and so was Skylar’s, so soon they would be able to fly again and be out of trouble. By now, Roger sat on the griffin’s back almost drifting off to sleep again. Something caught his eye. He swore he saw a griffin… He jumped back on, and continued to move, thinking that all of his scars and wounds had him lost in his imaginings. At that moment, he saw it again. Just past the trees. He again dismounted and began sprinting towards it. His heart was pounding. He made out a wing, then a tail, and finally, he saw it. It was another griffin. He was about scream out it disbelief until he saw another griffin. Then, through his weak eyes, discovered that he was in the presence of what he had been looking for. It was the lost group of griffins. He finally burst out into tears by the shear fact that he may have the potential to end the new King’s reign and restore the land. Skylar flew towards them; the wound was healed. The others at first just stared in confusion, until they suddenly realised that their leader had returned. Yes, Skylar was the leader of the pack. That explains the defence skills. That’s why the Bandits were chasing after him and Skylar. He always had wondered why this one griffin was so important to the new King. Just before they took off, a gang of Bandits attacked from out of nowhere. They were armed with crossbows axes, but what did that mean to these griffins? They opened fire, and charged towards the pack, cheering war cries with axes in hand. The griffins bound together, each one facing outwards with Roger in the centre. Then came the moment when both forces clashed, and the blood bath began. The bolts weren’t quick enough, and almost always deflected by the griffins. They pounced and clawed the group of Bandits, flames erupting from all of the corpses. The battle scene was disturbed when a larger group of Bandits arrived. This gang was almost an army. The griffins could have easily claimed victorious over them, but didn’t want to risk the injury of Roger. He climbed onto Skylar back, and they took off into the clouds, where the castle lay in sight. He thought back to the journey he had experienced, but the real battle was just soon to begin.
  13. I will now be creating Character Cards. Please take a look at my "About Me" page for more information.

  14. Sure, just read my "About Me" page for more information.
  15. So, I am aware that my previous post was removed, so I shall word this one differently. Character Cards, are based on the simple idea of a Signature, with a Character, Logo and Text or Phrase. I will be creating CCs for any members of the Community that would like one. The following are a few examples of my work: I usually use the Biondi Font, at a size ranging between 14 - 18. Please take a look at my "About Me" page, for more information. Thanks everyone!
  16. Oh, damn. Am I allowed to ask people to PM me the submission? Or must I PM them? Taking that last bit down.
  17. Hello everyone. I'm here to further enhance my skill at the art of signature making. I have decided to create my own signatures, and came up with these - Character Cards. The basic idea, being that you select a character - whether it be your spartan, or other gaming character - then insert a logo and text. Over the years I have improved in the ways of image editing, and wish to practice making signatures. I do not in any way, intend to copy the already created, Signature Shop. Brony and Insignia, if you would offer to give me a few tips or pointers, please do so. I only wish to practice and learn. Please, everyone, if you have any ideas for some Character Cards for me to practice, or simply would like one as a Signature, don't fret to ask. Here are some examples of what I've done: Halo 4 Assassin's Creed Mario Please note that these are the first Signatures I've ever made. You may give me a suggestion, and I will upload them here. Other players may use the finished CCs if they so choose. Send me a PM if you'd like me to insert your GT. So, if you have a CC suggestion, please use the following template: Character: [Altair, Yoshi, Pikachu, etc] Logo: [uNSC, Mario, Skull, etc] Primary Color: [Red, Yellow, Pink, etc] Phrase (Text): [see above] Text Color: [blue, Green, Indigo, etc] Send me a PM with the template filled out. Thanks everyone, have a happy 2013!
  18. I don't particularly forge Competetive maps. However, I agree with you on the idea that most Competetive maps are similar, and that the blinding white is often the cause of this. I forge "Competetive Mini-games" i.e. my Assassin's Creed maps, but also forge aesthetically appealing Flood maps or showcases. At the moment, it seems to me that players are continuously forging and playing "Linear Flood maps". I would like to extrapolate on your "similar maps" idea, because I also think that Flood maps have begun to look similar. Most often forged on Erosion, the color pallette is the same. I like original maps and ideas. I hardly even fret about gameplay, I just look for originality and aesthetic appeal.
  19. These matches, in my opinion, go for the perfect amount of time. If you want something long, go play Battlefield's 30 minute games, or League of Legends' 1 hour matches. 15 minutes is enough for me.
  20. Went to pick up my brother from after-school care. I took a glimpse at the hottest staff I've seen to date. I couldn't not staring, but EVERY one of them, was a woman, and super hot... still have a smirk across my face.
