  1. Decided to try something I haven't done before: How's this?
  2. Read my EB Games Expo thread that took me an hour to write at 4am! :'D http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/37891-le-eb-games-expo/

  3. SO, On Saturday the 4th of October (AEST), a handful of my mates and I headed to the 2014 EB Games Expo in my city, Sydney. If you don't know what the EB Games Expo is: It's pretty much a mini-E3 with presentations, shows and demos of both released and unreleased games. Anyways, I managed to do heaps this year - far more than I ever have. The queues were short and we just experienced more things overall. *APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE FOR THE TERRIBLE CAMERA QUALITY, FRIEND HAD TO USE HIS POTATO PHONE* I'll begin with the people I met there. Apart from the really nice staff, and other awesome gamers, I got to meet some pretty cool celebrities. I got a fist-bump and very brief conversation with TheFloppyRagdoll (Battlefield YouTuber) Also got to see a live show by the Good Game crew! (An Australian game review show that I love) I also had some on-the-move interview with this small YouTuber which was fun. Will link the video here once I see that he's uploaded it. So in chronological order, we went straight to Battlefield Hardline. I wasn't all that keen since I played the potato out of the beta, but my friends all very much love Battlefield. On walking in, we were given a short debrief and then walked into the gaming room. On my way in I spotted TheFloppyRagdoll and decided to go in for the fist bump. We played the new high-speed chase mode 'Hotwire' - it was meh. Wasn't the best game mode to show off the full fun of Hardline, but my mates seemed to enjoy it. On our way out, we got a free BF: Hardline poster. We then moved across to the Ubisoft booth, where I saw one of my old friends handing out posters. So naturally, I asked him for all 5 posters (Farcry 4, The Crew, AC: Unity, AC: Rogue and The Division) and received all 5 posters completely free. If I recall correctly, we then marched our way to the Ubisoft conference/presentation, where we had a break for an hour and watched as Ubisoft CMs presented their games: Farcry 4, The Crew, Assassin's Creed: Unity and The Division. Didn't learn much about Farcry 4, but it does look amazing. The Crew has a HUGE map, and I mean HUGE. It maps the whole of North America into an open-world landscape. Absolutely unbelievable. AC:U was pretty much what was expected. The Division is a game I've always kept an eye out for, and it did not let me down. We were given a live gameplay demo during the night cycle (yes, there's a dynamic day/night and weather system), where the players had to take down a small hostile group known as 'The Cleaners'. The Division is extremely pretty on Xbox One - although I did notice a slight FPS drop when there were huge amounts of particle effects and flames everywhere. The UI is super neat and awesome as I thought it would be. Next, one of my friends and I moved on to go play some Halo 2 Anniversary (Because the others were off to obsess over already-released games like Battlefield 3, War Thunder and World of Tanks ). Shockingly, there was absolutely zero queue. They literally invited us to walk straight in and start playing. I was taken to some 'VIP Area' to play against the staff because they were impressed with my Halo gear (mostly the helmet). I won and scored myself an MCC Shirt. Halo 2 Anniversary felt amazing - with a solid 1080p and 60fps. I haven't played Halo in ages, let alone Halo 2, yet I felt right at home as soon as I grabbed the controller. It's an impressive looking game indeed. Next up was Advanced Warfare I believe. Now, for a Call of Duty game it was pretty impressive. Gunplay is very responsive and tight as usual - however the gameplay felt far more movement and height based. There's an unbelievable amount of verticality - with your ability to boost yourself in all directions with your exoskeleton. The weapons are awesome with their near-future science fiction feel; my personal favourite being a shotgun that fires devastating blasts of air I think? Like in every CoD game, there's heaps to customise in terms of weapons choices and these are all original weapons too - some with very radical attachments. So although it may sound like a relatively quick and bland day, it felt like the most fulfilling convention I've been to. Got to meet so many people and do so many things - it was amazing. To finish the night, we enjoyed a full hours and a half of hilarious entertainment with the live Good Game show. To conclude this thread, here's a couple more pictures: A picture with some extremely gorgeous booth babes: Another with a truly amazing Alien cosplay: If you have any questions, feel free to ask below!
  4. Woah, what the heck, I swear he said '700x300'. xD My god, must've been an off day, lel.
  5. The boredom is real. It's driving me insane. That point when there is literally nothing to do or if there's things that you're too lazy to do. It's horrible. It's torture.

  6. Whoops, it was a big request and I put it on the back-burner for a bit. Anyways, something like this? http://g25i.imgup.net/BG1279a.png
  7. I would suggest slipping a layer of thin metal, or even layers of plastic, underneath all of the duct tape.
  8. Watch Boss and I be giant wimps in Co-Op Slender for Garry's Mod:

    1. Minuette

      Minuette

I put a little something in the comments

  9. To do what exactly? What do you want me to shrink down and on which sides? xD PM me, lul.
  10. Sure, wasn't sure if you wanted it there or not. xD Also that's the max image size. If I bring it to the full 600x300, you won't have that shadow effect.
  11. Here you go, hope you like it. Why does everyone want a sig like this right now? What have I started?! xD
  12. Le boop. Finished this up today, enjoy.
  13. I always love customisation is my games. Weapon customisation, armor customisation; Just overall player customisation. The more things I can personalise with my character, the more I'm motivated to keep playing and make my character look as awesome as possible. With this, I also really love player interaction - I have a much more enjoyable time in MMOs than singleplayer games.
  14. Here's the avatar. Kinda stumped on the signature, so give me some more time.
  15. An odd request, but here it is. xD Le boop.
  16. Sarah Palmer runs this site. Sarah Twamer.
  17. The 343iCF Signature Sop V4 is up, gentlemen: http://343i.org/222

  18. Howdy fellow members! It has come to our attention that the current Signature Shop needs a complete overhaul and fresh start for a variety of reasons - one of which, is that the current Signature Shop is littered with requests scattered everywhere and it is indeed very difficult to keep track of them all. So, without further ado, here is the new format for submitting requests into Signature Shop V4.0! -Classification [signature, Avatar, Background, Banner] -Format [PNG (Static), GIF (Animated)] -Size [Default: 600 x 200] -Style [Overall theme: e.g. horror, sci-fi, etc.) * -Color Scheme [The dominant colors you'd like to appear] * -Images > Image 1 Link > etc. -Background [Link] -Text * >Text 1 >etc. -Text Font -Additional Effects [blurs, filters, lens flares, etc] -Positions (Positioning of text, images, etc.) * If applicable. Yes, it may look daunting at first, but the good news is that you only need to fill out what you can. Then, let us Art Department lads do the rest for you! If members could also PM an Art Department staff member once they've completed a request, it would be much appreciated - this ensures that the artist(s) know you've submitted a request and can even speed up the time at which you receive your signature. The terms and conditions below are the exact same as Signature Shop V3, as beautifully written up by previous Art Department member - Insignia. What we can and can't do. __________________________________________________________________________ We can: The maximum size signature we can do is 600x300 to conform with forum rules. Create animated signatures (GIF's) as long as the request is reasonable. Resize GIF's and images if need be, for both signature and avatar use. We can't: Edit a rendered GIF and change things about unless we have the original file. Re-create copyrighted content without the written consent of the contents owner. More cans and can'ts may be added as we go. __________________________________________________________________________ How to apply your signature once it has been created. __________________________________________________________________________ Right click your signature image and click 'Copy image URL'. Click on your name in the top right corner of the site. From the drop down menu, click on 'My Settings'. Scroll down and on the left bar you will notice a tab reading 'Signature'. Click it. Okay, we are nearly there. In the text box click the little photo icon and it will bring up a box where you can paste the URL of your new signature. Now click 'Save changes' to apply your brand new signature! Did you win!? _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Terms and Conditions _____________________________________________________________________________________________ This is a free service and as such is restricted to use on this site. Meaning that if you are requesting a signature or anything else, it must be for use on this site. You may use your signature/avatar on other sites also, but please do not make a request if your soul intent is to use it somewhere else and not here. If you make a request for something and follow it shortly with another request for the same thing, you may have to wait a while.* Please note that breaching of these conditions may result in a temporary block on the creation of new signatures for up to 12 months. Please keep any posts on topic or they may be removed. *Subject to availability.
