Which older game do you keep going back to?
Loopy Altitude replied to Jay_Magnus's topic in General Discussion
Pretty much anything made by Valve, both on the Xbox (The Orange Box) and on the computer, I play the original Assassins Creed every so often (aside from me getting Assassins Creed 3 this Christmas, it's the only one I've played in the series), and a whole bunch of other old games I have on my Steam Account that I've played in the last few months. -
Spelunky, in a summarized sense, is the Meat Boy of the semi-Metroidvania-esque gaming niche. You play as a hardened archaeologist, who journeys into a mysterious tunnel in the middle of a dessert. Journeying into the temple, you embark on a quest for limitless fortune. Spelunky is hard, as in constant death, and one death (or quitting out) makes you restart your journey over again. Also going against your wishes are the ever changing, randomly generated levels, meaning every time you play, you get different levels. With secrets abound, damsels to rescue, and hidden areas to find, you may even be able to find the mythical "City of Gold", and escape with your fortune. The game's website is located here, and you can find the original freeware version for the PC, or go to buy the XBLA version, which is 1200 MSP (15$).

So, they take ideas directly from CoD, Frank O'Conner literally say's he likes Black Ops's loadout system and unlocking weapons, etc, and you deny that they're going CoD'ish? lrn2takehints.

what do you think about spartan ops.... good or bad?
Loopy Altitude replied to Wake Up John's topic in Halo 4
Palmer is annoying, but Miller is...cute, I don't know, he's like a cute little sidekick. -

It's fun (and XP giving) enough to warrant multiple playthroughs of the current episode, but the missions could use a little more flavor than what we have right now. But all in all, I like it. -
His face should be... HALF-LIFE 3!!! And right as he takes his mask off, and you can just see the title... A grunt with a Fuel Rod Cannon walks up and shoots him off a cliff. /BestEndingEver EDIT: Woah, 6-month necrobump, that must be a new record.

It happened to me, too, and the cause was installing Halo 4 to my console. If you've done this, the only way to get them back (easily) is to uninstall Halo 4 from your console, if you've done it.

A free and open world depends on a free and open web

I like Russia putting worldwide restrictions on the internet. Sounds like they'd actually do something, unlike a certain other country that I may or may not currently live in. -
You guys seem to be listing all AAA titles, which I believe would make bad movies. How about indie games? I've played a lot of them that could make really good movies/short films, I'll list a few. Dear Esther Dino D-Day EYE: Divine Cybermancy Pretty much anything made by Valve Red Orchestra Space Pirates and Zombies Trine (1 and 2) Zeno Clash (probably my favorite option, it'd make a wild movie, as I'm sure anyone who's played it would agree). And countless others I don't want to continue listing, would make a lot better movies than most of what has been said.

Still a better love story the twilight..

As said in shoutbox, I wish I had a "Dislike This" button. -
You guys are all being silly, I seriously doubt 343 and Microsoft were in charge of this, it was probably all Mountain Dew (whatever the actual company's name is).
-
Well, there are ways to do it (A.K.A Gamer picture injector programs), but I wouldn't advise using them.

I thought reach was the shame of the halo series!
Loopy Altitude replied to Jackanory's topic in Halo 4
I'd recommend a chill pill, a wall of text on how you hate the game won't do anything. I felt that War Games was kind of sucky, too, but you just have to play it for awhile, and let it sink in, before you cast your judgment, akin to a new pair of shoes. I started off hating it, but as I played it more and more, I began to really like it. I can't say you, or your sons, will have a change of heart, but I'd at least recommend you play it a little more. -
Woo!!! More stuff for the average consumer to devour, leaving better games with a better fanbase!

Halo 4 Legendary Ending is an Insult Rather Than a Reward
Loopy Altitude replied to TunnelRat's topic in Halo 4
I imagine all of the Halo's down the line will let us see different parts of Master Chief's body, it's a hopeless fight to try to stop 343. -
Well, there are gamerpic injector programs, but they fall a little outside the rules when you use custom ones.

This thread is simple, just make up what you think Halo is all about, in any way you'd like. Here's Mine: Master Chief, and everything happening in Halo is actually an illusion, a forced memory experienced by the Didact, in the back of his brain, after he took humanities last hope's life. The warrior, before being defeated, struck a massive mental block on the Didact, forcing a large part of his brain to endlessly re-live all the misery he's caused in his life. He, in particular, has to relive the story of this unmatched warrior, from start to finish, repeatedly, with more and more bits being released, and only a few moments of actual clarity. Now it's your turn! Just post below, and have fun sparking conspiracies!

Well, since you've played in the first two weeks of the game (or at least I'd think so), you already get all the specializations (not sure how it's distributed, might want to check your Email), but any XP you'd earn after you hit your max wouldn't count, unfortunately.
-
Well, you see, people who play after the first two weeks of Halo 4's release only get the 2 right now, and get the others at a later date. We get access to all of them right now. I wouldn't say it's stupid.
