  1. I choose to kill blue. Come on guys after so many games I thought we established that null was a bad option? Were never going to find out who killed anyone if we don't do it ourselves!
  2. If there was a jail keeper it would stretch the population out too much. As lets be honest we are going to have to cut down on numbers and I would not be surprise it also turned out neutral was cut later down the line.
  3. "So I think it's just as much a question of IF the games can handle splitscreen as well as IF they even want it there in the first place. Having splitscreen in the game would mean that people would buy less Xbox Ones, so... conspiracy theories..." Wut. Halo 5 sold the least copies of any Halo game in history. Its also the first Halo game (besides Halo Wars) to not have splitscreen. So lets think. Halo 5 sells the least units in Halo history and does not have splitscreen. Not only that but a lot of the complaints on Halo 5 forums around the web were splitscreen related. Hm, its not like there could be a connection between them all. Oh wait. There is! Splitscreen and poor Xb1 sales is why Halo 5 has not done well. Not only that but its probably got something to with the bad reputation 343 got after TMCC.
  4. Why do you have to mark this as Halo 5 spoilers? I thought the mandatory warning ended on November 30th?
  5. I can totally agree with you and I really think splitscreen is a really important part of Halo. The amount of complaints we've had on the forum shows just that. Now I don't know if this will be of any help but I can tell you why 343 did what they did. They removed it because they wanted to target 60fps as Halo games in the past ran at 30fps. They sad it was much more important and not many people played splitscreen. But they were wrong of course because Halo 5 ended up selling horribly compared to all other games in the series. Lets hope 343 learns from their mistakes.
  6. No, I'd still want it to be an Fps. I despite the Ubisoft open world and Ubiosft as a company so most certainly not them.
  7. Yes I do, I also said I don't really but I sort of do. Aww screw you won whatever, I just hate to back down admit defeat. Well played Yoshi!
  8. I like that idea, or at least parts of it. Not made by Telltale but a normal Halo fps but with the added twist you play as an Elite. (Maybe Thel?) Of course this means you fight Marines, maybe Spartan IV's? At least, this is what I'd like to see at some point.
  9. I'll admit I don't really have any strong points and just posted because I wanted to defend Forge for whatever reason. But I'm not going down without a fight! You don't need to announce something for people to be excited, announcing it just excites people more. By the way what evidence do you have that is actually wasn't? I'm sure some dedicated Forgers before launch were anticipating it.
  10. Just because its not announced does not mean people were not looking forward to it. Halo 2 Anniversary's Forge was a sign of good things to come and after the Forge video did come out finally. I'm sure it was somebodies most anticipated feature. As I said before, if I owned an Xbox One and Halo 5, it would be mine.
  11. Actually there is an argument to be made about Forge being the most anticipated feature. Firstly its expands the game's lifespan by years. Secondly for those too cheap to buy a PC or don't know about Minecraft it allows people to build stuff. Alright, I'm making a bad argument but my point is a lot of people are or were looking forward to Forge and I'm sure for some its the most anticipated feature. If I owned Halo 5 it would surely be mine, playing crazy Halo Reach custom games and maps were some of my best gaming memories.
  12. The latest semi weekly site poll is out! http://343i.org/396

  13. Welcome one and all. Ladies, gentlemen and future alien overlords to the latest Semi Weekly Site Poll. One of Halo 5's newest features is the implementation of the Fireteam system. Much like the hit game Republic Commando, Halo 5 has you the player accompanied by three AI companions through all of the campaign. Maybe this new system is no surprise given the creative director of Halo 5 also helped create Republic Commando. Regardless 343 considers the new Fireteam system to be one of Halo 5's biggest features making the combat faster, more responsive and much more lethal. So my question to you all this week is... Would you like to see the Fireteam system return in future Halo entries or not? As always voting ends on December 14th. If you have any suggestions or criticism, feel free to pm me. Happy voting, JXZAW out!
  14. Its been a whole week so lets catalogue the results..... This isn't a traditional question but a general consensus has formed regardless. And the communities overall preferred helmet is..... The mark IV helmet! 7 Thanks for voting everyone, until next time!
  15. Here's a question: Is there going to be a fourth book? I presume so from the credits but I could be wrong....
  16. The price of the first batch of Ps2 classics is just criminal

  17. Fun fact: Some people legitimately like horde mode. Its actually quite fun if you are into it and with the campaign and Warzone being lacklustre when it comes to AI interaction and not scratching that itch per say. Its easy to think Firefight would fill that gap.
  18. No kidding there. Halo site populations have gone with considerably after Halo 5 including this site. Instead of a influx of activity we have seen far less. This site is perhaps the deadest it has ever been. Its truly sad but it shows how the Halo franchise is stagnating. The game had an excellent marketing campaign so we were all expecting huge sales and I think I know why. Splitscreen. Its bigger than 343 ever thought it was and its clear that's a heavily desired feature. Until Halo 6 when splitscreen is put back into the series then maybe that game can get decent sales? But I doubt it. Two arguable lacklustre entries in the franchise is enough to turn a lot of people off and with Halo 5 missing a lot of features with a terrible campaign. I seriously feel that this is this the beginning of the end for Halo. Unless a miracle happens the series is forever done.
  19. The reason split screen is not in Halo 5 unlike past Halo games is because this time around unlike all past Halo games Halo 5 is running at 60fps. The reason though that you can play online co-op is because its supported by 343's servers. I think that is the answer to the question you are asking.
  20. I've noticed that too. While some of it might be down to the art style it is as far as I can tell the 60fps that brings is down. More specifically the dynamic resolution 343 is doing makes everything look as you described. Not as sharp and a lot of times, last gen. Not like graphics matter a whole lot but still. Its a point worth making. But no, there is no way to update the textures.
