@ Oxygen Production- Congratulations. It's been a quintillion years and you've converted all the matter into the universe and burned it into energy. Enjoy your Black Holes. Hopefully some matter will spontaneously be created by the weirdom of Quantum Mechanics, otherwise it looks like the Roadrunner was finally caught. And blast, I thought you wouldn't catch the fact that Mammals are classified under Synapsids. Time for something I don't even know, What is the estimated maximum feasible age of the human body, if untainted by diseases of any sorts, and the organs simply fail from time or the neurons die off until the brain is rendered incapable of supporting consciousness?

AHA! Even if the Universe does not 'end', eventually the hydrogen that provides fuel for the stars will be used up, plunging the universe into an endless period of time of absolute darkness and a lack of heat. Unless the Universe contracts however, but otherwise all sources of energy will perish. Now another try though, as I doubt that counts for PEELLS. What was the largest synapsid to ever exist?

A) What is the invertible fate of the universe and all life within it? B ) How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Which older game do you keep going back to?
Wyzilla replied to Jay_Magnus's topic in General Discussion
Star Wars Battlefront II. I hit the maximum limit for mods a long while ago and now regularly trim so off and get some new ones. -
I've always loved Treyarch as they actually add stuff to the game (because in reality, the games have reached their peak for what can be changed with the engine. They need a new engine really.), especially with the almost RTS part of the campaign and the multiple endings. Then of course there's zombies and such, which are always fun. I also prefer BO's method of ranking up and customizing classes, as it saves me the headache of grinding just to get some s*** gun I'll never use. It's not truthfully innovative though, more addictive. And a good ego boost, since it's hilariously easy to be the VIP of a match. Would be nice if they could get a new engine though. The 'hollow' avatars get annoying after a while.

What dinosaur species has shown no sign of predation in the fossil record?

Dunmer Vampire, the Dunmer resistance against fire cancels out the weakness to fire of a Vampire Lord, so they work quite nicely.

Scary? Really? It's sad when a person gets truly scared by a videogame, let alone a movie. While they do look better, in that they aren't stupidly obvious with a glowing energy sword and actually look like zombies, I'd prefer the actual flood spore bits with the head torn up to the side like in H3's human combat forms. But meh. It's an improvement, and awesome one at that, but not scary. Not remotely. And yeah, there's a thread for this. Doesn't this site have a searchbar?

I just love the classic gameplay of halo. Where if you're on a good team, or rather good team meaning people who've memorized the spawns, you quickly move over to the power weapons and hold the spawns at all cost, unless there's a choke point. For example, I actually enjoyed how Swordbase typically forced combat onto the bridge and the lift, as it created a paradox. Take the easily defended position, or go to the 'red' side and take all of the power weapons, like the shotgun, propipe, and the sword, then rush the 'blue' side. Or how on Heretic in Halo 3, there was the constant lulzy King of the Hill style fight over the middle of the room, especially the top, for the damned sword. Or how on Snowbound, everyone tried to hold the middle room of the underground section. Not one of my favorite Halo memories involves COD-styled running around and gunning people down. Clear the area, lock it down, and hold it to bleed points off the enemy as they try to reclaim it.

You don't have to make them sentient. Or you could even pump funds into AI research, then convert humans in Necron-like cyborgs, which would ensure that you could never perish so long as some part of your body remained intact. The only problem that might arise is the Precursors coming over and wiping you out for disregarding the mantle.

Aircraft always. I more of a pilot than a tanker, and I loved how in Reach they dedicated an entire level to the Falcon and the Sabre. Hopefully the either add another aircraft mission, or possibly even expand on what Bungie did with the Sabres. That level was reason enough for buying reach. Never could get wake up buttercup.

So long as it doesn't have an FPS rate of 2 like in the original Slender....

ARMA is the only realistic game. Even battlefield's a bit goofy. Not to mention they ought to copy Battlefield's melee system, because in reality, knifes do jack s*** to kevlar, or even just normal clothing. You have to stab them, and in the neck. Otherwise, meh. They have a flesh wound. Oh noes! To kill a person with a knife, you have to hit an artery or a critical organ. And yeah, unless you're on uber-drugs like meth (which turns you into a supercommando from the shootouts I've read about), one bullet to a critical area and you're toast. Especially if it's a substantial caliber. You don't walk away from a .45 Magnum. You crawl. And as for halo, meh, it's Hard Sci-Fi, meaning that the tech used by the UNSC is feasible, not impossible like most of the stuff in Star Wars. Of course, the question comes up, why the f**** are you wasting money on augmenting humans when you have the tech to make terminators?

HAHAHAHAha, Oh, you're serious? Well let's look at it this way, who revolutionized the gaming industry, and who has made an HD re-make of an old game, a mappack, and a rather crappy RTS? Bungie made Marathon firstly, which was the first First Person Shooter to have a deep plot, one that blows Halo out of the water. Marathon alone puts Bungie above all else for me. Bungie also made the Myth games, which I've never played, but I've heard were good. Bungie also made Oni, which I also haven't played, but heard was good. Then Bungie made Halo CE, which of course, launched the XBOX (and is likely the main reason it took off), pioneered the realm of the blockbuster game, and went on to make Halo 2 and 3. They also made ODST in a little over a year. ODST was easily the greatest Halo game, and they made that in less than a year with a crazy-small staff. Although, kudos must also be given to how each halo in the main series has three or so years behind it, ensuring each game was fantastic. Also, appreciation must be given to Bungie as they've survived despite keeping the company of sharks. When they moved into Microsoft and got an office, they ripped out the damned walls and changed the lock. XO's want to come in? They have to knock. Now they're moved over to Activision and are working on a massive MMO FPS that will most likely revolutionize the industry once more. From the leaks I've seen of Destiny, it looks badass. And deep. On B.Net, we're currently piecing together a map from various clues on Bungie merchandise, the website, etc. Lotsa stuff. Meanwhile, 343i has yet to technically make a game that has been released. Halo CEA was an updated game, Halo Wars was actually made by Ensemble Studios, and Halo 4 has yet to release. Even if '4 does turn out good, they can't stand up to Bungie. Bungie is twenty years old, still going strong, and has made more cult classics than most other production studios, save ID Tech (but unlike ID Tech, most Bungie games knock the ball outa the park. DOOM's just a grind.) Trying to compare Bungie and 343i is like trying to compare a grizzled war veteran who has more metal on his chest than you have silverware to a toddler.

They had better be in Custom Games at least. Otherwise it'll be hilarious to see the fit Machinima will throw. I'll also miss them in general, as Invasion was the major improvement of Halo Reach. It's nice for halo to have its own gametype, and they removed it for that new dominion thing? OK. Doesn't look too great. Invasion was fun because it forced people to move and you couldn't camp. Hopefully they'll have a spartan only invasion gametype. Also, I will sorely miss Elites if they're not at least in custom games. They're fun, they add re-playability (the different HUD aesthetics), and they're just badass in general. Although, I don't know if I'll miss them too much. 343's ****ed up the design of all the Covenant forces big time. Especially with the jackals. Don't tell me, another subspecies? Eh. I get they want to make it their own, but it seems at time that they're changing things for the sake of changing them. Least the Hunters look the same. But yeah, there ought to be elites in forge/custom games. Otherwise half the community will throw a fit and a large chunk of machinima will boycott the game.

Why is this needed though? Reach comes with its own manual which has a guide to the weapons, that also details the preferred range.
-
Mark VI, that or base Recon, since nobody ever uses the base of the Recon helmet. Although I also desperately want Security. Really, pretty much all of the helmets in Reach were good. The only dud I can think of is the always horrible looking EOD.

Who think that the grifball is worse than before, if it's possible
Wyzilla replied to CAMS24's topic in Halo Reach
Griffball's perfectly fine, and the sprint/evade armor abilities simply increase the difficulty and force you to think on your feet. I agree with you on the jetpack games though. They suck. -
A true Halo Fan recognizes Halo ODST as the actual best game, as it's the only game with a true story and induces a sense of desperation. If anything, I'd actually hope that they'd continue that storyline. As for Halo 4, it currently sits on the edge of a cliff. A wrong turn and it plummets into the sea of cliche. It could be a great game with a great story. But in order to do this, it firstly must chuck out the filler. Opponents should be meaningful. I only get killed by Grunts when I'm not paying attention. Otherwise they're stupid filler. Grunts should have bigger and badder weapons to increase they're lethality. Shield strength of elites needs to be beefed, and hopefully the Prometheans are tough nuts to crack. Also, it shouldn't be a constant firefight. They should adapt some action/adventure aspects, with exploration and mystery. Induce a sense of awe. But cut down on the filler. Add more big bads if you're going to have a constant firefight. Not to mention, it doesn't make logical sense to send in your weakest units with your weakest guns. The plasma pistol should be a backup. AI should have an ammo count as well. As for multiplayer, eh, I'm partial. I hate those damned moving weapon spawns because they cater to casuals. Also hate how they've added loadouts, preferred weapons, etc. The whole point about the previous halo games was controlling the weapon spawns with your team. The moving weapon drops will likely change the game to such an extent that the battles don't resembled anything previous the slightest.

Section 8 Prejudice. Dirt cheap and blows Halo's, Battlefield's, and COD's multiplayer out of the water. Look it up. Badass game.
-
Nah. Melee's more satisfying. Typically is my tool of destruction in most Halo games. Tis why I normally use armor lock, as I've effectively mastered it and use it exclusively in melee fights. Works well with a pistol combo as well. Unless I get a weapon like the shotgun on the rocket launcher, I usually just run around with my pistol or AR and use it to pop people's shields before a beat them to death. Or I use it to steal somebody's sword.

Halo 4 Warrior Avatar Armor - Free on US Dashboard
Wyzilla replied to Spectral Jester's topic in General Discussion
Eh. I already know who I'm voting for, and I don't want that fugly armor. If I get Halo 4, my first order of business will be ditching the normal armor. I'll stick with the Security Helmet and Ghostbuster costume I've got for the avie.
