Well on the subject of orange. In this game Gearbox said that Orange is supposed to be more for "unique" guns that do special things. While I agree the drop rate is low, the first one was no different, and it is kind of the point. The rest of the game is brilliant, I like the fresh step in music they made, along with making guns from each manufacturer more unique to their style. I love the resurfacing of the guns in general as well.

I have posted this argument in other threads, and I will post it here as well. It has pretty much already been set that Halo 4 will have a progression based system BUT it has been said that there will be some sort of competitive ranking system on the side, because it has been said that your matches will be based on skill level. That being said just having "gametypes" for lax players doesn't solve the problem, their needs to be a balance of both or people will complain. Truthfully while I see the argument in favor of a competitive system, I don't see why it matters in the end. People will play Halo 4 and either love it or hate it, if you focus on the small technicalities that didn't go your way you will only ruin the game for yourself. In the end the game is truthfully for fun.

I would advise hanging around and using the shoutbox, you might have some luck there. Hope you enjoy the forums like we do.

To me it seems like in the end every other person is arguing about the same thing. We just want the game to be fun. That being said the OP did say some stuff that can be taken in offense. Just because we have a life and don't play competitively 24/7 doesn't mean we have no say, and telling a company to cater to your ideals is pretty snobby.

Ok I gotta get real with this, cuz personally I DO NOT see the point as to why this has to be a pure competitive game to satisfy your needs or anyone elses. I happen to be a casual player, and from that I know that what your saying is alittle biased. Plus you can't qualify someone based off of their skill in a GAME, casual players know a thing or two as well and that makes me take offense. You can play competitively on a progressive based system, one of the so-called "competitive" games that's out there is CoD and it's pure progression. MLG has become a joke, not only do MLG players nowadays run around and either camp, or run for the power weapons, but most MLG players are now 13-16 year olds who talk trash, and are only competitive because they don't have a real life to tend to, and the real MLG players left have to deal with that. I prefer to play the game for playing the game, whether it be online multiplayer, campaign, or Spartan Ops. If you or anyone else leaves because the game doesn't suit your high-end competitive needs, then just leave, no one is stopping you. If you are a true MLG player the ranking system won't keep you from playing competitively, and you will play the game regardless of little technicalities. It's starting to get old having people pushing these personal "ransom notes" to 343 saying their game will fail without a competitive rank or some other little item that you personally want. Whether or not you like it isn't an issue to the main body, the game will come out, people will play it whether it has a competitive ranking system or not, and most people will enjoy it, because they won't dwell on some little technicality. Really all you can do is play it and enjoy it, or dwell on this and don't. My personal opinion is, the game should be made to where EVERYONE can enjoy it, and not be geared to sole competitive play or progression, because not everyone has time to play the game and get awesome at it. And to lighten this post a bit, both systems have been pretty much confirmed, there is a so-called skill based system thats supposed to be announced soon. EDIT: Also I'm a fan and I have enjoyed every game, so don't lump all fans into the mix.

Yeah your reason for posting big print that hurts the eyes, seems like a personal issue considering one ITS BIG and two its GREEN, the combo hurts the eyes. Mind changing up your little scheme there so we all don't get seared retinas? Also on the palettes I like them, but I was hoping for alittle more than what was given, they seemed to think within the lines of past halo games, and makes me alittle sad. I was hoping for more unique pieces.

You sir, need to read VERY clearly what is in the article you posted. Those are printable masks for use by the public in REAL LIFE. There are no in-game masks. Im sad to burst that bubble, those might have been cool to have.

Yeah I went and traded in my PS3 and couldve gotten a used xbox 250GB instead of the new 4GB if I knew about the whole fiasco with xbox's preferring only official hard drives for most of the functions I wouldve taken that.

Odds are it will not come with any amount of XBL gold. Most games dont come with any gold, not anymore at least.

I love how people nowadays word their post titles like threats to Halo 4. I was about to come in here and troll. I for one didn't really use ODST helmets in the past games, so it doesn't matter to me much.

This could/would eventually lead to people who are mods, that will just abuse the system. Odds are any mod in this would not be getting paid, therefore they would be more likely to abuse power. Plus I tend to be rowdy when I play, I give it and take it, so I dont wanna be kicked out for a simple you mo-fo comment.

Truthfully i hate skill based for a couple reasons, but i would like it integrated into the progression system (more points for more skill based moves/kills). I play well but i just broke my elbow and while it doesnt drastically damage my skills it makes me alittle less apt at the controller. (for those saying it's BS you'd be amazed how much of your arm/hand movement is linked to your elbow) Thing is a skill system would kill the game for me since i play good most of the time but i have those moments when i cant seem to get the groove. In the end i say progression, but with extra points in there for skill moves, basically that would hold it for lax players, and allow the skilled ones to jump up the tree quickly. And for those who say it's unfair... go play swat, you will be evened out and skill will be the main thing in play.

You dont see the point, she was one of many who said that. so there was no reason to exclusively bash her over it. I agree anyway a port to pc would be handy.

Um, I hate to burst your bubble, but you're in the wrong place. Staff from 343 do not frequent these forums, and will not see your post. You would be better off complaining on Halo Waypoint's forums, or getting 343's direct contact info. Notice that this site is the 343 community forums.

First off, change your thread name before someone smites you over it, I was about to report you for spoilers. posting ANY spoilers confirmed or not can get you banned, and this is in no way a spoiler thread. It should be named something like Halo 1-3 story clarification etc. Anyway the Didact was a forerunner promethean (not the AI version) he was executed and he imprinted his conscience upon someone named Bornsteller makes forever lasting or Bornstellar for short, he was the leader of the Forerunner Military and the one who had to fire the Halos. The librarian was his wife and was responsible for making sure "seeds" for the future species were stored away before the original firing of the Halos during the forerunner-flood war. The species that made up the Covenant are presumably still around, except changes in that structure would have obviously taken place since the Covenant were based around the idea of the "Great Salvation" and that idea was all but destroyed as they found out the rings cause destruction and not salvation. And the main body of the Flood was destroyed by the firing of the incomplete replacement to the Alpha-Halo ring at the end of Halo 3. That being said groups of the flood have been destroyed twice, so there may be more in-store since they already announced flood mode as a replacement to infection. That's all that has been talked about and gathered, I have not read the books myself so you would have to wait on someone else to confirm what has been said above as true.

The armor colors themselves are just smooth. The only plasticy colors I see involve the rubber parts of the armor. There are some mesh parts in the armor that have the same color as the plates maybe that's what you're seeing???

Um I know they are small, but why exactly are spoilers about mission names and such being posted in this discussion......? I looked in because I have been following this, and I have seen some stuff that is getting so close to ruining parts of the game that I have to bring this up.

Right now there has been no clarification. Shortly after the upset over the recruit armor, Gamestop edited their info on the Limited edition, and so has everyone else, now it doesn't even be specific when describing what you get (most likely bc 343 hasn't officially fixed the misunderstanding). All we can do is wait and see. Truthfully I'm alittle more upset about the wargames map pack DLC differences than anything else. EVERY other game that releases the DLC for later content in passes like that comes with the same stuff as SE gets. As of right now I already have mine paid off, and I'm gonna put faith in 343.

I think it would be cool. I think it would have to be re-thought though bc of the chance that people could abuse the emblems or writings like stated above. All that would do is lead to a mass of CoD Black Ops style BS involving really vulgar and immature displays.

That's half the problem "blatant and more than once" that means they can do it multiple times, and more often rather than not someone will just forego exp for the launcher.

I cannot be friendly with a fanbase like theirs. 1. CoD fans say CoD is the best game ever and nothing can compare to it. YET, CoD is the same every year. 2. Like stated above every other game except CoD is "***" to them like Dino said. 3. They tend to invade the community of other games and start stuff. 4. Most of them are bitter little kids with nothing else to do except ruin matchmaking for other people. My work on this thread is done.

I still have a whole slew of SEGA Genesis games, I could name a few of the better ones. Phantom 2040 (don't judge it based on it's anime counterpart.... the show sucked.) Comix Zone (available on XBL Arcade if you wanna check it out, but it's a hard game) Vectorman 1 & 2 Marathon 1, Durandal, and Infinity (for PC it's free) Then to mention other game platforms I still play Left for Dead 2 in my spare time, each run through is so different that as long as you don't mind the scenery being the same it never gets old.
