One of the best games i have ever played was freelancer, i could remember waking up and sitting on my PC and playing this game until my eyes burned from lack of sleep for those of you that dont know Freelancer was one of the first space sims on the PC, its unique combat system and economy set it apart from any other game at the time. Players could become apart of a navy, police force, a pirate, mercenary, miner, and merchant The Mulitplayer is like a mmo and very interesting to say the least Background In the near future humanity is split into two factions, The Alliance and the Coalition. After a long bloody war the Coalition (communist alliance) pushed the Alliance (everyone else) back to there last stronghold. As the coalition launched there final assualt 5 members of the alliance (United States, Britian, Germany, Japan, and Spain) launched 5 sleeper ships that broke through the blockade and left the solor system These ships were Liberty- United States Bretonia- Britian Rhineland- Germany Kusari- Japan Hispania- Spain As each ship found a planet to settle they named thier new governments after the sleeper ship they were saved in, the hispania was lost and the survivors became a pirate factions (Corsairs and Outcasts) THE MAIN STORY The main story was about a freelancer named Trent who was on a station (freeport 7) when it was attacked by unknown ships. Trent and a friend managed to escape but his ship was lost in attack and the station was destroyed. As time goes on you will spark a war between nations and face an alien threat no on saw coming, the nomads some game play If you have ever played freelancer please feel free to share what you think about it
