Yep, that was the point. Carbine, DMR, BR or almost any other gun will drop the noob combo wielder. Now if you had two people, one going for the plasma bolt blast while the other went for the head shot, that will work. But I would call that teamwork at its finest.
-
I have done it twice, once on an enemy sniper who was crouched and cloaked, once on accident while trying to stun a enemy ghost.
-
Its tracking is way less now, takes longer for a charge, a held charge eats up ammo and its plasma bolt is much easier to dodge.
-
DMR has beaten the AR in CQC.

With ordinance matches if you get damage boost as an option TAKE IT. Deadlier than a SAW.

Time to talk about the gun most of you probably think is garbage, the Covenant Storm Rifle. It was the first gun I spent Spartan points on and after using it in 3 matches of Infinity Slayer and having my ass handed to me I said to myself "This gun is bull ****! Its to weak and has no range, always loses against players using the Assault Rifle, what were they thinking? So after a while I came back to it to see if I missed something, if it could be used effectivley. Now obviously it is not a gun for a map like Ragnarok, way to short range, you will get picked apart by DMR, Carbine, Battle Rifle, Light Rifle, and even the Magnum. So I decided to try my luck at smaller maps like Abandon in a variety of game types like King of the Hill, Oddball, 4x4 team slayer. Load out used Storm Rifle, Plasma pistol Pulse Grenade Regeneration field Grenadier Explosives Since I had the Regeneration field I made it a point to stay close to my teammates usually a few feet behind them and always close to the corners. When they rounded a corner and started to engage opponents I would cover come out wide and survey the situation. How many opponents How close, what weapons, than duck back, usually after absorbing a few shots if the enemy was far away. Drop the Regen Field to heal teammates and myself, wait for the enemy to pursue, throw Pulse grenades. With the explosive upgrade those Pulse grenade are a lot bigger and can really disorient and cut off the enemies escape if thrown behind them. Now is the time for that Storm Rifle to earn its keep. The enemy is cut off from escape, your standing in a Regen field and dont have to worry about reloading. I earned a few double and even triple kills this way with the Storm rifle. When an enemy has full shields, fire until they pop, stop for 1 second at the most to keep from over heating, then finish them off. A lot of DMR using opponents will jump to get away, by pausing to keep the Storm Rifle from ovet heating you can more easily track them. The longer the Storm Rifle fires the worse its accuracy gets. It is by far an ambush/support weapon, protect your teammates from being flanked, be a distraction. I got a lot of WINGMAN, DISTRACTION, ASSIST, AVENGER and PROTECTOR medals. I was never first place.in kills, but I did have the highest K/D ratio a few times thanks to Regen field. Today I am going to try to employ the Hard Light Shield into my Storm Rifle loadout, we will see how it goes.

He is only holding the ball because his teammates are killing everything, if all four of us are standing around you with no enemies in sight yelling and screaming for you to pass the ball, then pass it! Stop being Kobe ******* Bryant and share that rock!

I also cut down some trees. Killing nature can be fun, and beneficial to the other trees.

I hit this xp cap last night and could not earn anymore xp. I played 7-8 games without earning any xp... And I had a blast. It was a little incentive to go to bed early, but then after the 8th match or so I was earning XP again. I went to bed anyway. Hitting the cap was a good sign that its time to catch up on some sleep. So I made it to bed at 115am instead of 4am, woke up rested and made a big breakfast for everyone in the house, cleaned up the kitchen, watched some cartoons and did some other stuff around the house. Now its off to run some errands and maybe play some more later this evening after watching the new episode of walking dead. Damn you xp cap for making me have a life and be productive.

One thing that would be awesome for Halo 5 would be the ability to place and resize your emblem on you armor. Allow players to wear it big on the chest like a superhero, on the face of the visor, across the upperback, and even on their butt.
-
That emblem is ugly.

If you have a good team watching you back you can dominate whilst in the Mantis. If you have a bunch of lone wolves expect to get ******. Thats why they put TEAM in the name of the gametype.

They betray you because they want you to pass the ball. We had a group of 4 and were passing the ball back and forth, 5th guy joins and just holds it. We had a huge lead and before he joined and we just wanted to throw the oddball around to drive the other team crazy,.and thos jimmy rustler just stands there ball hogging, refuses to pass. So you know, betrayel. Oddball is a silly game, for us its not only about winning, its about getting kills with the ball and passing it back and forth. ****s and giggles.

The people who like the game are to busy playing it to come on to the message boards and argue.* I enjoy the game, more than Halo 3 and way more than Reach. Halo 2 was better than them all as far as multiplayer was concerned. Halo CE still has the best campaign. ODST had the best firefight. Thats my opinion in the matter and do not expect me to be respond ti any of your replies as I will be haviing fun playing Halo 4. * posted from mobile phone while taking a dump between matches.

My biggest problem, (this being something wrong with ME not the game, weapons or vehicles) is that I have a tendency to sprint into situations that are doomed. I am still adjusting to sprinting, never used it much in Reach. I see other players make this same mistake all the time, so it's comforting to know I'm not alone in my foolhardy bravado. I am slowly learning when and where to use the sprint, as well as its limitations. This us very important on a map like Ragnarok, it can mea. The diffetence between taking out a Mantis unseen or taking a rocket to the face. I like it.

Add the boost AA for even more caffeniated spartan.

Con Peoples stealin mah ordinance. Pro Stealin peoples ordinance. Pro Stompin on people with the Mantis. Con Gettin stomped on by the Mantis. Pro Needler is death incarnate. Con Running out of needles. Pro Multplayer is fresh and fun. Con Have not slept in three days.

Mobility combined with a ordinance drop of speed boost is awesome.

At least they are still sticky. I have noticed a difference in both blast radius and strength compared to previou games. Even the frags feel a little less explody. Nothing game breaking, just require more precision when throwing. May be due to the fact that with grenadier you fan carry more of them.
-
343 really dropped the ball by not making the Needlers needles the correct color, they should be Cyclamen not Fuchsia!

I usually just wait for the mangos to get ripe and then eat them. In all seriousness, I fully agree with you. The movement speed and the slow shields make it an easy kill if you know how to use cover and distractions. As for the Banshee, I swear they are making them out of glass now. Very easy to destroy.

Everyone please, please chill the funk out. So much whining and crying about things and the game is not even been out for a full week yet. Just relax, some things are different, it is to be expected in a new game. Some things stay the same, xp caps? Disk errors? Connection problems? All happened in some form or another with the previous games. Be patient, be calm, things will improve. Slowly at first, in small burst, but they will improve. Those of you with bad discs and those folks down under and in other places who need a priority search function for optimal connection, head over to the official forums at Halo waypoint and let them know you demand solutions. Everyone else, relax, have fun, PLAY and enjoy some funk.

Once again, plasma pistol, plasma pistol, plasma pistol. I have a much easier time taking down enemy vehicles in Halo 4 than I ever did in any of the other Halo games.

Is XP the only reason you play?
