I did a video last night of me plowing some flag carrier over at full speed with the ghost boosters on an everything and he didn't sustain ANY damage and continued on to the hill. I'll upload it but does anyone know how to get it from my fileshare to here? Needless to say I lodged a complaint for cheating and avoided him. It was total bull. Well not the hill. He captured the flag I meant.

MLG should work around Social players. Not Visa Versa.

But see there ya go... Now you're changing game dynamics to suit your own agendas. Instead of playing the game for what it is. It may be a different style than what you're used to but that's just it. What you're asking for is to change the elements of the game completely. It's like saying hmmm. I wanna do MLG monopoly. But NERF passing go for $200. And free parking needs a BUFF. Also I don't like instantly being able to buy railroads. So take those out. And utilities. I wish they'd bring back that one card in community chest. Put that one on top. See what I'm saying? Then it's not really Monopoly anymore is it? Maybe have house rules instated for instance for Halo 4, but don't change base aspects of it. -

Ahem I'll translate. Don't rely on technology. Machines are easy to break. -Kurt, Ghosts of Onyx Epic speech. I use it, but I don't rely on it. I rely on myself, not technology. I rely solely on skill in Halo 4. That being said after translating I have no idea what that's had to do with this thread. Ah someone beat me to translating that Charlie Foxtrot. Lol. But back on topic yes. That's what I was saying. That MLG's purpose has always been an elite few who play games competitevly not redesign games tailored to their preferences. As is? I agree radar and other things would have to go. But yes, again that's what I was getting at. A playlist with these tweaks, not changing the entire game like oh so many threads are rampantly suggesting. -
I can appreciate this reply. And I agree. I started with my ACT skin BR. I was amped. After trying the DMR I haven't gone back. Sad to say because I remember CLEARLY in Halo 3 even a carbine could keep up with a BR. Not so anymore. The lightrifle is just dumb. The carbine doesn't kill fast enough. The BR is too inaccurate. And the DMR is just right. I'm not a fan of NERFING OR BUFFING but if they had to do SOMETHING, I'd say bring the other rifles UP to the DMR's level. Don't make the DMR harder to use.

I'm so tired of reading all these threads about NERF THIS or BUFF THAT. Everyone wants a ranking system and a little 1-50 next to their names... Nobody is happy with the maps, they all want The Pit or Midship. Look. I'll be the first to admit that Halo 3 was a good game. But if you want to play THAT so badly go buy the platinum hit and quit talking trash about how more people are playing Halo Reach than Halo 4! Even if it was statistically true it doesn't matter. Not every gamer wants to be MLG boss and wreck everyone with a 4/1 KD. Some of us play the game to enjoy the cool stuff that happens along the way, the way video games were intended to be. Not measuring virtual dicks. If you DO want to play competitively however maybe they should have an MLG playlist so you can go there. I'm not against the idea of MLG and competitive multiplayer. I AM HOWEVER against changing all the game dynamics to suit one crowd of people. That's just selfish and asenine. I'm not a game developer and chances are you're not either. So be glad we have a sequel and either play or don't. It's not about being a fanboy, and it's not about being social or MLG. It's about playing a freaking VIDEO GAME the way they are meant to be played. It's supposed to be entertaining and something you can always pick up. Good replay value with a mix of different customizable play styles making each gamers experience unique and something they will want to play again. I think since this is 343i's first game that they accomplished this. IGN gave them a rating of 9.8. I may not be the Halo fan I was 11 years ago but c'mon MLG and community forum... Don't you think you're taking it a LITTLE too far with all these outrageous competitive tweaks you want??? I'm not trying to argue and before you reply really THINK about what it is I'm saying... Sorry it's so lengthy. Just had to get that off my chest and see if ANYONE else agrees.

Why make all the weapons inaccurate and difficult to use though? That makes no sense. Not all of us are Halo guru's wanting it to be an uphill battle every game. Video games are supposed to be well thought up and laid back. If you want to be an elite gamer and participate in MLG you should have to work with systems in place not the other way around...

I'm 24 year old specialist in the US Army, husband, father, and gamer. I enjoy long walks on the beach, am originally from Florida but stationed in Fort Riley Kansas and doesn't like the cold. Lol. Thanks for asking!

I miss lonewolves too.

Would it be cheesy to put out an ammo crate? Seriously would it? That would fix things at least on a basic level. Have some ammo caches dispensed around each level.
-
Omg I couldn't even read anymore! I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT! Lmao. I hate it when that happens! I want my beamrifle UNSC shotgun and my incineration cannon.

That's a pretty good point. I mean I won't comment on whether the changes are good or bad that's all opinion. But you're right. Changes to the franchise are definitely visible within game play. I think it depends on the map. Like Ragnarok and Adrift are awesome implementations. Complex? I still don't get why that's a 4 v 4 map. Lol. They should beast out and make it a big team... Lol. But back on subject no you're right. The community seems very split about it. On the one hand anyone who doesn't like it is a kid/noob/crying panzee. And if you do like it you're a fanboy. Lol. I just play the game in my spare time and like it enough to buy Halo 5 I guess. Lol.
-
Yeah no I wouldn't want to get banned because someone posted something on some website. I'd have to see the video and not take it at word of mouth... Sorry but that's just fishy. And a little weird. Lol. I play against someone like that and I just chalk it up as a bad game and move on. Suggest you do the same. Oh and don't forget to avoid the player.

I wasn't as disappointed at this as I was finding out I'd have to buy DLC to get KotH back... >

Agreed.

Regardless if what people beliefs are and I'm not one to judge, murdering children in cold blood is something that is only reserved for the most callus people. No normal person would do this. Only some sick and deranged person would do this. It's like after the Batman shootings some but job comes along and wants to one up the guy before him by doing something even more unspeakable. I hope that ****** burns in hell. Period. And I'm all for making an example out of the next yahoo that wants to act up. No excuses. This still makes me sick to think about... I honestly can't imagine what I would do if I found out someone killed my son... That is a parents worse nightmare. Before I left for Afghanistan my one thought was "I have a son to carry on my last name should the worst happen". No pressure to my kiddo. Lol. But if someone took away my son...? My hope? My love? I'd be fueled by vengeance, broken that I would be. Nothing in life is as important as family. Nothing.

I know it's a little off topic, but how mad would the community be if the carbine could 4 shot in a TU. lmao.

Someone take away his privileges. Please... Facepalm*

Well in the context I meant it was just saying that if (back on subject) the BR was four shots it'd dominate all other weapons. There's no fair way to do it. It's be overkill. Four trigger squeezes or five? I'm going to go with five. The list of examples I gave that happened to be ordinance (just for long range examples by the way you can go back and read what I was trying to point out) was just to say that there are more appropriate weapons to use besides your standard rifle that gets the job done better. Now even though you're talking about loadouts it's a matter of opinion at this point which is really better. The DMR or the BR? I think they are even really. The fact is on a long enough scale they would both be about the same. Sure there are minute differences between the two like magazine capacity and required number of headshots and of course bleed through damage but the point is, is that if you DO 4 shot the BR it will have a commanding lead over all weapons in general. Why would I pick up a needler (ordinance) if I can shoot you four times in the face and drive on? Not to mention the ammo is then made even more important and commanding. Ordinance is supposed to be a reward anyway for doing well. Or playing at all really. No weapon needs that kind of dominance unless IT IS IN FACT ordinance. Every weapon has a job. It's own unique purpose. As soon as you start making weapons that do everything you take away the purpose behind the other weapons. Maybe I could have communicated that better and in THAT sir I do apologize. I just thought I had made my point, it was never to make light of anyone else's. I was mistaken.

Haha. Reminds me of counter strike for the original Xbox. And to that X dude whatever your name was sorry for the harsh words. Lets just move on and forget about it. I'd hate for this thread to get locked on account of its actually a good post. I used to be all about winning. I could only get my 50 in Halo 3 on lonewolves. I played over a hundred games and 1st places everyone until I hit 50. I think I was a captain or a major or something. It was awhile ago. I couldn't get higher than 42 on team slayer. And the objective ones were just downhill from there. I remember clearly raging at the game so bad back then... Now I just play for the cool things along the way that happen. I like my campaigns on legendary and veteran but as far as multiplayer goes? As long as I do better than a 1/1 K/D I'm having fun. I love addictive multiplayer. I prefer it over gimmicks or incentives designed to lure you back with no real substance... Don't get me wrong I think they should cater to that crowd somehow so everyone is happy but that's not in escence what gaming is about. My friend said it best to me when I got my 50 in Halo 3. He asked me if it made me feel better measuring virtual dicks because I had a silly number next to my name... Lol. Where I don't share his negativity toward the subject like he did, I can still appreciate the relevance of his point in hindsight. The numbers don't matter. The overkills and rampages along the way were what made me feel legit.

It will be years before we see Halo 5 so where's the point in this? I'm sure Halo 5 will be fine tuned the way fans like but for a first game (and I'm no programmer) it's not too shabby. The way I see it most people will buy Halo 5 anyways because its called HALO 5. It has a namesake. People know what they are getting (sorta) when they buy Halo. That being said millions will get Halo 5 anyway. Will it be like Halo 4? Probably. But it won't stop from selling. Will people look at Halo 5 and say "HEY LOOK! MORE PEOPLE ARE PLAYING HALO 4 BECAUSE HALO 4 IS THE BETTER GAME!"? Most definitely. Does that make them right or me wrong? No and no.

Now you're just being needlessly abrasive and I WANT to tell you as best I can how dumb you are. But I digress. I'll try and spell it out as best I can while retaining my composure before I let you make me upset over nothing. 1) the beamrifle is EXCELLENT at snapshots. I've used that thing countless times to no scope anyone at close range. I'm not the only one either. 2) so what if I don't remember the name of ONE gun at three in the morning when I reply to a forum post half asleep? Especially one that never gets used! You're nit picking. I can see it, we all can so don't say you're not. 3) regardless of wether or not its ordinance doesn't debunk the fact that there are weapons that are better suited for range of combat. Do you not get ordinance or something? Are you permanently stuck using load out weapons? If you can't see my arguing points then I've got nothing else to say. I've explained my point as accurately as I possibly can. Yes English is my first language. Been speaking it for 24 years. How's your eyes and textual recognition? Basically can you read ************? Are you blind or just stupid? I'm not asking you to agree with me but if you can't understand simple dialogue than that sounds like a personal problem. Way to go there guy.

4, 5, 12, 15 doesn't matter dude. All that matters is you can only kill two people at full shields and health before you have to reload. With either rifle. Unless you're rocking dexterity that's what you have to deal with.
-
Lol. Yeah maybe I just needed clarification. Interesting thread. NP.
-
Exactly. Lol.

Lol. People like YOU! I'm loving it. I never had a problem with splattering melee or sticking. 1) Dont splatter the guy that turns whitish blue. Problem solved. 2) Usually I just teabag until their AL would pop. You're that NOOB that would be all over the guys sack and get EMP'd. Lmao. 3) They fixed the sticking in a TU. But thanks for looking dumb. Once again it was the best because kids like you didn't know what to do when it happened to you! Hilarious to just watch how BAD people are. I'm gonna go look up your service record to get an idea of who I'm talking to. My money is on a negative KD in reach. Aw nothing there...
