The sword does serve a purpose. Their energy based weapons make sense.
-
I hope they don't. There's (not that I can think of) no legitimate way they can add a UNSC melee weapon. Hell, it's 2013 and we don't even use bayonets anymore. This just doesn't make sense... We're past swords and hammers as a species. Maybe aliens could do it? I dunno. But humans? Absolutely not.

I like them. Also I like them better than previous games where if you and some guy are fighting it out in CQC, and your dewsh team mates lob grenades at you not caring if they kill you as long as they get your kill, is not a factor anymore. I hated suffering for my play style because my own team were a bunch of nade noobs. Now I can comfortably use nades to escape most pinches I'm in or at a minimum weaken the down to an easy kill. I also like them because even though they rarely kill you outright at full shields, they do splash damage making engagements of multiple targets doable without self sacrifice.

I like the hunters. Glad they are showcasing what they really are for once. I agree the elites are showing too much skin. I like the armored look better. Grunts look awesome. The Jackals have so many looks too... I honestly can't complain. I like them all. I don't really see the run down Gears comparison though... I just don't see that. Awesome overall thread though. Hope this one goes far.

This has happened to me too. Not with the exact same challenge but I happened when I got the stupid 18 regicides in one game. I in fact DID NOT get 18 regicides. But it gave me credit. The next day it was back to square one. The day after that it said complete again. It gave me credit twice as I tracked it with my xp and played games. It is a challenges glitch and error but you still get double credit. It's weird I know.

I think I see your point albeit poorly written and constructed. You come off sounding whiny and incompetent when real thoughtful responses could've been attained. It's hard not to post something that just makes fun of you for how you came off. But here goes nothing. (Before I get to that, scrub friendly? Was there a point to your remark or do you just get your jollies bashing games on fan forums? Seriously what is it with people like this...) I find the challenges to be a welcome change. I made an all around new Loadout that supports team play with an AR. It is as follows. Assault Rifle Magnum Frag Grenade Regeneration Shield Resupply Explosives This is much different than the mid range precision 90% of players run with. I like it because I can implement this on big team battle. The massive teams that people have make for some easy kills as they are often too distracted. Personally? I hate the Storm Rifle, Suppresor, and the AR is OKAY at best. But now with the grenades added and the regen shield I can support teammates with a mid to close range offensive and set up choke points. It's a welcome change of pace. Just because the challenges aren't tailored to your play style doesn't mean they are bad or too numerous. It should be a blessing that simply enjoying the game is enough to unlock these challenges. So why the complaint? I get it. You probably don't like the weapon. But that doesn't mean it's bad or "scrub friendly" or that there's too many similar challenges. Also, the game has been out two months. I'm sure there's a whole laundry list of challenges awaiting and new ones to be added. So I can't really see where this is too overwhelming? That's just my opinion. Neither one of us are really wrong because our opinions differ. Just thought I'd say how I feel on the other side of the coin. And also as a side bar, when posts are written like rants you get less attention and a lot more hostile feedback. Try explaining your views from a sort of middle ground if you want better replies. Just some friendly advice for future posts. That's my personal experience anyway. Have a good one.

I agree with the 2 or 3 sensitivity. I'm not a pro or anything but I get better everyday and have made noticeable improvements in overall accuracy. I came up short on DMR duels because even though it only took four shots to pop shields, the headshot has to be precise and it eluded me. Now my reaction time (honed with the help of swat) is significantly better. I've always been a CQC player and will live by this. That's why BS is still something I pack. It gives me a fighting chance besides having to melee. It's just quicker. I know what you said about barring weapons, AA, perks, etcetera but the weapons and what choices you make really DO influence your endgame. Someone on the forums pointed out how AC is a long distance perk. Makes sense because it negates the radar jam. Things like this are important to think about when coming up with a workable Loadout. I agree that your loadouts should be situational. I don't agree that you shouldn't thoroughly try combinations of loadouts though. You'd be surprised to learn what works. For instance when I started I used BR, Magnum, plasma grenade, hologram, mobility and dexterity. Now I use DMR, Boltshot, frag grenade, PV, mobility and dexterity. Call it what you will but those are both unique play styles. Making that switch improved my over KD by .15. Anything helps really. Practice can make perfect. If nothing else then your reaction time. On BTB maps and Complex I use vehicles. They pack serious firepower can run people over and can be abandoned when near death. A good way to get with teammates and all that. Don't rush the attack. Make enemies come to you on your terms. Sometimes I'll use pulse grenades to block an enemy's retreat and force them to push the attack where I wait with either shotguns or AR. They fall for it without even thinking you had a plan. Finally, travel in groups of two or more. You might not get the kill everytime but you're chances of dying first before you DO get kills has just been quartered or in BTB, eighthed. My KD was >1. Now I'm sitting at 1.16. I don't farm kills or that nonsense. That's just me two months later through trial and error figuring out what best worked for me.

I wish my mom looked out for me like this... Most days she'd beat me with a shoe and tell me to play outside. You rock mom! (Forums mom I mean). Ah who am I kidding... You too mom. Hope y'all get your issues worked out. Would love to know what happened too. And to be a little more positive most bans aren't permanent. There are at most two weeks. Only in rare cases of obvious fraud do they ban your account forever. As unlikely as this is I would reassure your child that its not forever and to try and remain patient. As a parent myself, that's what I'd do. Only my kid is 1 and wouldn't know the difference anyway I suppose... Just thought it'd help knowing.

Please, PLEASE block invisibility in Big Team Battle!
Baeztoberfest replied to JetEyeNight's topic in Halo 4
It's a different type of combat but that doesn't make it wrong. It would've been fun to hologram out the snipers and use team DMR to out wit them. I would've loved to play a stealth game. I don't see the justification in complaining about how people want to play games. It's their preference. -
IDC what you do guy. I really don't care. If you don't get it that's not a personal attack on you, that's my confirmation that you can't rationalize facts when they are painted before you. I assure you they are still there. Also you and your friends are doing it wrong then. I showed you proof but you'll argue with anything I say so this is just me pointing it out to the rest of the forums how mindless and addicted you are to arguing even when evidence is right in front of you. So go ahead, whine to big brother. I could care less. I made my point. Maybe you could check yourself and think about what it is I'm saying instead of mindlessly dismissing facts. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CDMQtwIwAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DHxwDeBC55jQ&ei=5h3lUKndBqKc2AWCiIGwAQ&usg=AFQjCNELY4iCCdVLOSR3W1tSuEvrbwxilw Here's another link to why you're wrong. Dead wrong. You mad bro? Because you're certainly wrong bro.

I prefer to be a zombie. Flood just destroys everything. Although as last man standing I liked a little reward. A little bit of over shield or something to really make it nerve wracking taking on everyone. Now it's hard to get anything more than a double kill before they all come overwhelming you... I just don't get that last man standing feel like I had in previous games. Also thrusters is pretty lame. PV for humans, thrusters for flood... They close the distance quicker than most people's reaction time. It's too one sided.

Why loom at 130 as anything to gawk at? It's only your failed perspective if you look at that number as anything more than "LOOK HOW MUCH HALO I PLAY". That's all it represents. In no way shape or form does it ever claim to be skill based.

Halo 4 devs speak out against sexism - Lifetime Ban
Baeztoberfest replied to Cassandra Saturn's topic in Halo 4
What a crock. Sounds like KiKi woke up on the wrong side of the bed. People hit on my wife when we play Halo 4 all the time. Do I get bent out of shape because people THINK she's a girl and wanna somehow digitally hook up? Pfft propostrous. Pretty sure sexism doesn't get worse than teabagging. But they wanna go on a ban hammer route to take away something that's been going on since before they even were working Halo. This is absolutely stupid. If I was permanently banned for teabagging or saying something mildly sexist after reading the **** people send my wife? I'd save up money and buy a new playstation and never look back on the hundreds of dollars they are missing out on for having some stupid mission to ban something that doesn't even hold a candle to the real problems. Even if they don't do anything 343i as a company has lost tremendous respect from me for voicing an opinion on such a trivial matter. The things they publicly cry about... Just wow... I'm speechless.- 35 replies

To make your multiplayer character unique to something you like? What's there to "not understand"?
-
Yeah my bad I was hammered.
-
Halo 2.... Breaking Benjamin. Yes fuqin sir.
-
I don't wanna wear a skin tight track suit.
-
That's what she said.
-
Lol. Yeah I feel ya... It's stupid hard... But I should at least try. Whew... But all the same. What do y'all think of these challenges getting harder?
-
Don't act like those aren't your best friends. Lol. Lord knows those kind of friends are the most fun.
-
Well add my GT and I'll give you a hand. Baeztoberfest. But just because I know this challenge is tough doesn't mean I won't solo it later (probably not). It's stupid hard man. Lol. But I won't be happy until its done. I always do at least the campaign and spartan ops challenges. I'm not about to stop cuz the going got tough.

That is a pretty good point. That thing is a bullet magnet.
