(Fine, I'm sorry. I'll edit it. Jesus I thought we could be friends) Cavril felt the blow impact with his back and grunted, but he was to full of adrenaline to care. If at all, the blow just aggravated him, but that didn't mean his body didn't feel it. The Russian spun around and dodged most of the punch to his head, and then grabbing and pulling D.J. in for his own blow. Perhaps a hit would be scored this time.
-
((Nevermind what I just said, I can't stop a fight for the entire day)) Cavril felt the body check collide with his shoulder and stumbled back a bit, but saw the hook coming and grabbed D.J.'s wrist. He pulled D.J. in and rammed into his body. The force sent D.J. farther away then Cavril went. Then, the Russian ran at his opponent and spear jabbed at D.J.'s thigh, however stopped the attack quickly to make D.J become open and then brought his leg up to kick D.J. in the face.
-
((Right. After this, you reply with your attack and then we let someone else post, sound good?)) Cavril's smile grew wider, bigger then D.J.'s. It was strange, even though they were fighting each other, they could still be friendly throughout the whole thing. Developing friends was good, because when you fought actual enemies they'd be your brothers. Brothers in Arms. The Russian smiled at the fact he was making friends. "I'm no Mystic, but..." Cavril's voice trailed off. Then he jumped and spun around a blinding speed and delivered a vicious twirling roundhouse kick at D.J.'s face. The Russian made sure all of his openings were covered.
-
((Alright, I remember what you told me... yesterday Boss? No meta-gaming, just let the fight go within itself. Now I want to point out one thing, Cavril isn't HUGE and muscular. He is tall and flexible. Now that we got that out of the way, LET'S DO IT!)) Cavril stood in front D.J., looking down at him. D.J. looked confident, and that was good, but there was a hint of nervousness in his expression. The Russian smiled politely and then got in a side ways fighting position, cover his face and center. being sideways also reduced the target area that they could punch. Cavril hoped that D.J. would do the same. "What is your name, друг?" Cavril asked, with a bit of creepiness in his voice, but not too much. It wasn't something he could control. Back at the colony where he lived, Cavril fought a lot. It was common, and Cavril won 9/10 each time. The Russian had practiced in some of the most lethal martial arts, like Shaolin Kung Fu, Hung Gar, Chin Ni, Tai Chi, and Judo. A lot of those were extremely practical and could win a fight in one blow. However at a military academy it could be different. ((друг just means friend.))

Ground Zero - Halo 3: ODST Alternate Storyline

That made me happy. Your writing talent lifts up my day. Especially after what happened, but it was so traumatizing I won't go into detail. -
Ground Zero - Halo 3: ODST Alternate Storyline
Surveillance replied to D-38 Boss's topic in Member Created Work
Very nice. I can't wait to see how this plays out. -
Well, you know, once they open me up I'm really friendly. I used to be cold and detached. But now I have friends!
-
Enjoy your stay. I'm Russian, so if you don't trust me or want to ignore me I am fine with that. However the well-known members have gotten to really accept me as one of them, though I'm still working my way up there. Also, I have made many friends, so I hope I can do that with you.

Cavril methodically marched among the other recruits, happy to have gotten that other ordeal over with. Soon would be the hand-to-hand exercises, and that would be fun. The Russian had a history of full contact hand-to-hand fighting in some of the best martial arts people can learn, so he could wait to try it out. However he stayed humble, as he noted before, overconfidence has caused the injury, embarrassment, and death of soldiers. Cavril wouldn't let that happen to him. He spent his entire live training for the Corps, and he wanted to be respected. That however, is earned. His creepy smile returned as he thought, I wonder what the Sergeant has in line for his today. I hope it is some hardcore drills and fighting.

Thanks for the feedback and other things that I left out!

Hello everyone. I'm HaloGeek, as you all know. It seems that we have a lot of writers on this site, and that is great! A few that I can point out are D-38 Boss, BaconShelf, xD Sp4rkFloW x, and Minuette. The minds of authors bring people together, and encourage very active conversation. Our fiction writers have some of the most creative minds on the site. If you don't like their work, then at least applaud for them trying. Currently, the 'novels in progress' or fanfiction posted on the forum always takes me away from the physical world and brings me into the Ethereal- the minds of the characters. There I can see the story unfold into what it will eventually be. The reason I zone out is because the plot, the characters, the setting, are just so wrenching and real. No writer should be discouraged from criticism. In fact, that is what drives you writers on, to improve yourself. So far, the amount of thought that has been put into the works of fiction by our members is large. It gives us something to read, something to take us away from that bad day you had at school or work. Writers, fandom creators, keep going. You hold the best for the future of writing. Let nothing stop you, nothing. Because you shouldn't be writing from your brain, you should be writing from your heart, and soul. It may take a while to be able to do that, but once you have it down, your writing will be 99% better. Think of it like this: You use your brain to make the ideas, then refine them and write them with your heart and soul. I used to be a writer. My stories were good at first, but it always seemed that no more ideas could flow to my brain after a certain point. It makes many soon-to-be best selling authors give up some of their most precious and awesome stories. This entity, this thing that I am talking about is called 'writers block'. Writers block is a condition which authors are unable to produce knew ideas/work for their stories. Sometimes it is so bad, it goes on for several years and many have quit their careers as authors. But really, I got around it, before I quit writing, because of so much there is to do in life. Go outside, take a walk. See a movie, gather ideas. You can avoid writers block easily if you just take your pencil off the paper and gather your thoughts. Its as easy as that. When you have your thoughts together, put them on paper into a story. I promise you, if you just take some time off, you'll be able to produce your story 5x then what it used to be. The reason I quit was because I simply had written so much, my brain hurt when I looked at a piece of paper. Criticism. It is something that all writers or artists or cooks receive when someone doesn't like their product. Sometimes it can be constructive, which means it will help you make newer stories better, or negative criticism where it just hurts your feelings. It should never be taken seriously, at least the negative criticism because if you do, you'll stop writing. Always take the constructive seriously, because it will help you so much. It is designed to take the bad things out of your story and tell you how to improve upon them. Once they tell you, the constructiveness will form inside your brain, leading for more incredible things to be processed by the heart and soul. So, aspiring writers on the site and all around the world. Take a break and gather your thoughts. Don't think you should take negative criticism seriously. Constructive criticism is the way to go. So if you learned something today, then put the knowledge into action. Don't sit there and think you aren't able to make your book. Because you can, if you do the right things. ~HaloGeek

This sounds fun! I'm in, though I'm not a very good forger, I can definitely help with ideas. -
((I realize that.)) Cavril didn't know what to say, but cut his smile so that he could be taken more seriously, if at all. Choosing words with a commanding officer was a little bit difficult, but if you sounded respectful and put thought into your words, it usually worked out."Staff Sergeant Kawolski, I understand you don't care. But straight to the point, I like that. Now, I just wanted to apologize for my behavior earlier. It was disrespectful and unacceptable. I will act respectful towards you and everyone else throughout the training and whatever missions we go on. Thank you for lending me your time, sir." The Russian walked back inside, gaining the fear-stares of everyone in the room, and that was when his smile turned on again. Then everyone looked away. Cavril knew that they were looking away because they weren't scared, but rather confident. That was good, very good.
-
((Actually, forgive me. This is going to be a very fun RP! )) It was as like Cavril read Kawolski's mind. The Russian wanted to base his next sentence on what it seemed the Staff Sergeant was thinking. That would maybe freak Kowalski out, and Cavril had no intention of doing that. But based on what Cavril saw when he spoke to the other recruits, it may freak their Commanding Officer out of his muscles. "Yes, sir. Also, Staff Sergeant Kawolski, you don't need to be impressed. Just remember, I'm always here. Always. And I don't think it is just my height. My freakish smile, ice cold but creepy eyes, and spine-chilling voice is also a factor too." The Russian said, allowing his creepy voice to pierce everyone in the room's soul, including Gabe. When they came outside, a chill of wind passed through them, but Cavril thought nothing of it. Russia was much worse. In fact, this felt warm to him. Cavril had been to Russia when he was five, and he really liked it. But now was different, now he had to forget those memories.
-
((Alright, I'll give it another chance)) Cavril sat on his bunk and stared off into space. He wanted to apologize to the Staff Sergeant, but he had a feeling that would make things worse. The hand-to-hand drill was going to be a lot of fun, and Cavril grinned to himself. Some other cadets widened their eyes and looked away from the Russian the moment he smiled. They were probably thinking: 'Smiling to yourself is a sign of insanity.' It most likely was, but if Cavril was insane, then he definitely showed it by being extremely creepy and tall. He stood up and looked down at Staff Sergeant Kowalski. "Staff Sergeant Kowalski, permission to speak with you in private, sir?" Cavril asked in his most respectful voice he could muster. The other cadets stared at him like he really was insane.
-
((I expected it, and I'm not surprised. But in reality there are too many limitations. Where is the story going to go? I want a massive roleplay that takes place across the galaxy and is not limited with these story parameters. This kind of RP just doesn't suit me.))
-
((Well I quit.))

Cavril looked down at Gabe as the Staff Sergeant barked at everyone to start. The Recruit did about three hundred reps without stopping, but it was still a bit unnerving that he was easily taller then anyone here. Coming from Russian origins, even though most countries on Earth didn't exist anymore, he was tall and had the typical accent. Also, a strange creepy aura surrounded Cavril too, so most of the soldiers kept eying his creepy smile and bright violet eyes. Cavril was eager for the self defense training. he couldn't wait to be put against any other recruit, except maybe Jone, and destroy them. After Cavril did three hundred more push-ups, he looked at Kowalski. "Staff Sergeant Kowalski, is there anything else you would like me to do, sir?" he asked, staring at his superior with a creepily cold gaze, and his Russian accent coming in thick. Cavril hoped he had said the right words, but anything Gabe threw at him he could probably take. However overconfidence was always an issue, so the Russian shoved the thought out of his mind.
