No cos half the games you get thrown into are laggy so you need to quit for obvious reasons, and banning someone to leave in search of a better connection cos 343 don't even know how to program a good connection searching option will result in more people leaving this game for things like blops 2 when the population is already dwindling.

The only time you will lag is when you are playing on a foreign host. Lag compensation is a terrible idea and MW3 and Black Ops Matchmaking should be enough to prove that. When you have local host your DMR is fine, when you have foreign host your DMR will often not register. Dont confuse lag compensation with foreign host. The only thing this game lacks is a good connection filter which needs to be implemented. If you get French host, or European host, and you live in another country, the game will lag.

Agreed. I believe it does a ping based searched but there is no switch to toggle to keep it within something that will allow a good game. They shouldnt try hide stuff from us just give us the option.

Man i supported this game and its flaws in the early weeks because i could have only assumed 343 were going to listen to the community and implement a couple of fixes, main stream fixes. How hard is it to write a code that has existed in every other game so you can tick a box saying, yes please, i would love search a good connection game! It may take a couple of extra minutes. It just seems like when i play, no matter what playlist, i am the only Australian online playing Halo 4. Some nights we only get laggy games and resort to spartan ops, cos we kinda have to. 343 really dropped the ball by trying to reinvent the wheel. I hated Reach but at least we always got good connection games right up until the end, so props to Bungie for at least doing the basics right.

Bloom added luck to a skill based game. Why try to re-invent the wheel? Why try to fix a mechanic that was not broken? What is wrong with point and shoot when that is the whole concept behind a FPS? You could spam 5 shots, and sometimes get the kill, and other times not get the kill. Your reticle may be over their chest and head the whole time but bloom added a 'chance' that your bullet would not hit. So in turn, you may slow down your shots as to avoid bloom, bring it back to your skill in timing your shots so you are guaranteed every shot you fire hits the intended target. Then you go back to my first statement, sometimes you get lucky when you spam and all 5 shots still fire out the middle of your reticle even though bloom has taken off. So you go to the time to be precise after being screwed by bloom, and somebody uses luck to beat you. That is not skill. Hence i hate bloom. I put a lot of time into Reach and that is my opinion. I have been on both ends of the spectrum. I rather Halo 4 where you get kills with skill and die by skill, you don't feel like bloom jipped you.

Yeah i actually figured that out 5 minutes after i walked away from the computer going wtf? Happened to my friend to so i told him how to fix it.

I got the normal edition, i unlocked all the specializations via the code sent to me in my email. I log on today, friday, after not playing since monday. I am level 59 so i go to look which one i will choose next, they are all gone except for wetwork (which i currently am) and operator (which has always been available). I tried redeeming the code through my email again but of course it states it has already been used. Did the Title Update wipe my specializations? Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix for it?

What? That you got out played in a shooting game?

If the DMR was OP why would people still be using the LR, Carbine, BR on infinity slayer with positive K/D's in the post game stats? Cos everything has a counter and a smart player puts himself in good positions. Some games i get killed more by a Boltshot than i do a DMR. If the DMR was indeed so OP, wouldn't it just be DMR fest twenty twelve online? Cos it sure as hell isn't for me. Put me in a game of Swat and unless it is Complex i rock out the BR cos i deem it to be far superior than the DMR in a 1 shot kill scenario.

I get what your saying... but doesn't this make the game HARDER because it is a FPS where the objective is to KILL people, so hence forth staying alive is not as easy as it once was?

Yeah no need to change it, if you got outplayed and boarded then you should be penalised. Especially if i go to the hard work to jack a ghost i want to be rewarded by being able to clean up that kill.

I am glad you didn't just come at us with a problem, you provided solutions aswell. I like the boltshot as is, but i don't use it. So changing it as you stated would actually give me more time. Everytime i get killed for it at close range i only blame myself for putting myself in that position. I would absolutely hate a decrease in fire rate on the DMR but world rather that as a nerf to adding bloom. Haven't had an issue with camo eh leave it as is.
