  1. AR if I was actually silly enough to start with an automatic. If I am close enough to someone that the SR or suppressor are going to be better, I might as well just melee them.
  2. Idk. Halo 3 was enough for me to buy a 360. But after 4... Im afraid of what 5 will be like. Ill wait for one of my friends to get it and play it then before I shill out that kinda coin on a system.
  3. What would be the point of the H3 bute shot? The conc rifle is the exact same thing. If anything they should bring back the H2 brute shot. Now THAT was a weapon!
  4. Better idea. Scrap loadouts. Everyone starts with an AR and a decent magnum (like in Reach). All other weapons are on the map. Want a better weapon? Go pick it up. Cant get one because everyone is beating you to it or killing you before you can get it? Practice and get better.
  5. I agree with everything except dual wielding. I would play the crap out of this playlist if they made it. And @azaxx, why not do what was popular in the past? H3 held onto its player base for much longer than either Reach or 4, both of which mixed it up and brought out alot of new things that obviously didnt go over well with the majority of people.

  7. First off, while 4 is several years after 3, chief was frozen during that time and thus didnt really age. His augmentations are permanent, it not like super steroids or something. Combine that with the fact that people live longer in the Halo universe due to advances in medicine and what not ( I believe I read that in the books at some point) and I can say that it will be a long time. So long as they dont show him crying at some point.
  8. Because it wasnt necessary. Dual wieldable weapons in 2 and 3 were crap when you only had one. They made those weapons actually useful in Reach. The magnum and needler are perfect examples of this.

  10. There was once a time, long ago, when I always had a mic on when playing with randies. Talking smack, getting smack talked back to me, twas all good fun. Idk if its that I have just gotten older or what but I no longer have any desire to talk with people I dont know.

  12. Mostly this. Have other things to do and what time I do put into games is put into OTHER games. H4s multiplayer just isnt as addictive as 3s was. I blame this mostly on the lack of a real ranking system. By the time they rolled out what they have now, I had long since lost interest.

  14. Bingo-bango. It was for the "oohs" and "aahs!". The novelty of dual wielding and nothing more.
  15. Yea I was aware of the lack of damage stacking when dual wielding and agree that something along the lines of what you said could be implemented, I just dont think its necessary. Also I preferred Reach's pistol to 4s.
  16. I just dont think the promethean weps were necessary. Too much overlap. The suppressor, AR, and SR are all close to the same save for slightly diff stats. Id be happier with just the AR and SR but with something to really set them apart, like making the SR slow you down while being shot by it like the plasma rifle did in 1.
  17. Dual wielding was a gimmick, nothing more. Good weapon balance makes it pointless. For example, the needler in Halo 2. It was garbage. It wasnt that you could use 2 at once, it was that you HAD to use 2 at once to kill anyone. Reach fixed this by making the needler a much more useful weapon. It could reliable kill somebody at close to medium range without needing 2 of them. Same goes for the magnum. Dual wielding was a lame attempt to spice things up and get a few "wow, thats cool!" out of players, nothing more.
  18. Better idea. No AAs. No sprint, just a faster player movement speed in general. No custom loadouts. You start with a pistol and AR in regular slayer and then have a separate BR slayer. Boom, your mind blown.
  19. What do you think would make the perfect Halo game? Ill name off the things I think would make for a perfect Halo game. Feel free to criticize my choices or add your own -Halo Reach's gritty art style with 4s graphics -Halo 1s Shields/health system (60% of max "life" was shields, 40% was health I believe. Needed health packs as Health didnt regenerate.) -More or less Halo 3s gameplay and physics. As in how your character move speed, jump height,. - A specific list of weapons. 3's battle rifle and carbine, 4s assault rifle, Reach's pistol, Halo 1s plasma rifle and plasma pistol, 2's sword, 4's shotgun, Reach's needler. Heavy weapons from Reach. NO promethean weapons. -Reach/4's ability for regular weapons to kill vehicles after enough shots -No armor abilities, insta spawn or custom loadouts -And last but certainly not least, all maps from H2 and 3.

  21. Same here. Also did it for 3, Reach, and 4s campaign while in co-op. Also Reach and ODSTs co-op firefight. But multplayer always works fine.
