So then, when the hell did the Librarian exile the Didact? Or was this the "other" Didact you refer to?

*Spoilers* Basically, after playing Halo 4 and watching the terminals, my question now is: who fired the Halo array to end the Forerunner-Flood War? In Halo 3, the terminals seem to indicate that the Didact ultimately resorted to firing the Halo array to defeat the flood. In the conversation logs with the Librarian, it seems pretty clear that she stranded herself on Earth, and would die as collateral damage. However in Halo 4, the terminal videos seem to indicate that the Librarian neutralized and exiled the Didact to Requiem before she was stranded on Earth and before he was able to fire the Halo array. Therefore, I am now thoroughly confused as to who fired the Halo arrays. Am I missing something or is this just a continuity issue / ret-con?
