I still gotta disagree here, man. I loved Bloodgulch and Valhalla, which are both esentially the same map as Ragnarok, and now I love Ragnarok, as well. This map has been around since the beginning of Halo and I'd be surprised if this is the last game that it is used in.

Really? Boltshot can not one kill with one fully charged shot? I was under the impression that it can. However, my only testing for this weapon has been done in Matchmaking so I've never tested it in a vacuum. Perhaps the people I've been one-shotting have had some prior shield damage or something. Pretty good info, man. Keep it up.

It's happened to me a couple times. I've pretty much written it off as me being too excited at the moment and pressing the wrong button on the d-pad accidently. For example, I'll think I'm pressing down for the SAW but in actaulity I'm pressing to the left (but using the bottom of the d-pad to do so). It's hard to put it into words. I hope that makes sense.

Also, try this: When an enemy is shooting you while you have the ball, you have 4 choices. 1. Die. 2. Beat them down if they're close enough. 3. Pass the ball to a nearby teammate. Now, if you're like me, then sometimes, these first 3 options are not options at all. If you find yourself in a situation where it looks like this guy is gonna DMR the **** out of you, then just throw him the ball. This does 2 things: 1. It confuses and surprises most opponents. 2. It makes them unable to shoot until they get rid of the ball. So, toss your lone enemy combatant the ball and blast him in the face over and over. Once he's dead, pick the ball back up and carry on as you were. It's a bit of a risky move but it works more often than not. It's also a pretty good feeling to own someone in that way. Happy hunting! I've never had a problem getting spawn camped. However, I can see how this can happen. There definitely is a lack of coverage in that wide open area of the map. When I spawn there, I just haul ass to the nearest area where I can take cover and then assess the situation from there.

Yeah, the gauss hog is a beast. It always has been in past games and does not fail to continue that time-honored tradition in halo 4.

I can't even log into my Xbox account on that damn site. It keeps saying someone else is using it and I have to verify some information. After jumping through a series of flaming hoops (answering a ****load of questions), I always get an email from Microsoft saying that they can't verify me to be the owner of my own ******* account. I've had this account for like 10 years. It's very frustrating. The lovely lady on the other end of my phone conversation with 1-800-4MY-XBOX said I'd likely have to get a new Xbox Live account. This means that all the online purchases I've made over the past 10 years will be gone. All my online pass codes, gone. All map packs, gone. Not to mention the embarassing amount of money I've spent on different types of media on Xbox Live that I'll no longer have access to. Double xp is a priviledge. Having access to your own account is a right. Sorry to poo poo your complaint about the DewXP, I just needed to vent my frustration, much in the same way you needed to vent yours.

This made me laugh out loud at work. Hilarious. Anywho, I know what you mean about the turret being weaker than I recall it being in past Halo games. However, the warthog is still pretty strong, in general. The turret definitely seems weaker though.

Not trying to sound like a jackass or troll, but I have no idea what you're talking about with these two things. I have never had either one of these things happen to me. I've played over 100 games so I think that's a pretty good sample size. Could you perhaps elaborate on what happened?

I can understand your frustration with the DMR. I, personally, think the gun is fine and balanced for the most part. You should also keep in mind that you're rarely, if ever, going to have a close quarters battle with someone on Ragnarok. The level is just too big and wide open. The only time it will be close quarters is around the hill or in a base.

Nice review. The only thing I disagree with is your comment on Oddball. 343 did a great job making Oddball more intense and overall enjoyable to play. I love the fact that you can throw the ball not unlike a football. I love having a well organized team that plays keepaway with our opponent by tossing the ball to each other around the map. It's great fun.

The only one I'm not that big of a fan of is Flood. I like every other game type. I especially like Oddball. There's nothing like launching a long bomb over the defense to the waiting arms of a teammate, Aaron Rodgers style. I'm also a big fan of Dominion. It's a fresh new gametype and I really enjoy it, provided I'm with some of my friends (because I hate playing Dominion with a bunch of people that don't have mics).

Agreed. The game is fine as-is. The only thing I can see as being "overpowered" is the Mantis, and even still I don't really think it's overpowered. It's just powerful, as it should be (I mean, seriously, it's a damn mech. Come on).

One of my friends had the whole loadouts-resetting-in-between-games thing happen to him a couple of times. It's never happened to me, though. It's probably just a slight network glitch.

The reason Humpstyles said this is the fact that the OP said he was going back to Halo 3 after he listed off his long list of complaints. I agree with Humpstyles.
