  1. Okay this is just another theory about Cortana's survival, however this time related to Spartan Ops. In the campaign it seems unlikely that the librarian, who had made such accurate predictions regarding the outcome of the Chief would let Cortana "die". So similar to other theories it's very possible that the librarian either copied her when they met, or made some modification that would save her. There are many modifications she could have made, but if you notice when Cortana's terminal is destroyed, a similar data field. To that knights etc leave when killed. So maybe this data field was then uploaded to some forerunner digital world and that's were Cortana is now. You may now be wondering how this links to Spartan Ops, well so far those who have played through them will have noticed that many humans have been sucked into what could easily be a 'digital world'. Now if then look at the Halo 4 achievements, there are two back to back achievements for Episode 4 - Chapter 5 and Episode 5 -chapter 1. Now this is only a couple of weeks away so it would be early, but maybe there'll be further clues there?

  3. I don't think they will, or ever did plan to kill off Cortana. If they were going to they would of made sure it was final and it clearly isn't when you see some of the better and very possible theories out there suggesting how she could have survived. Therefore the only logical explanation into doing it is they wanted to "humanize" the Chief. Which looks like it could open up a very interesting storyline for the coming games. Also I have to say that as they made Halo 4 so epic I really don't see them screwing up and killing Cortana, which would put so many people off the forthcoming games especially as you'll need the new Xbox. However on a more negative note, Halo 5 is supposed to be a much 'darker' game and although this pretty much guarantees the return of Cortana, she may as previously suggested be on the wrong side or in a diar situation. Moving on, even if 343 got it wrong initially and planned to kill of Cortana, surely after the opinions of the majority of the fan base have been voiced they will realise and change their plans. Just an additional thought, I don't want to wait until Halo 5 so I'd like something to happen in Spartan Ops regarding Cortana, which in my opinion it's incredibly likely that you'll at least a clue to her whereabouts as Crimson team. Finally, I know I've mentioned it already but does anyone know if there's anything behind the terminals on Anniversary linked to Cortana... Saying she's alive. I read a comment on YouTube about it?

  6. Ok, I'm probably just being trolled but I saw someone say that it says Cortana is still alive in the terminals you find? Can someone honestly prove or disprove this?
  7. This is in my opinion the best theory so far, though I think it would be awesome if she came back human as previously suggested (though I doubt it)
  8. Does anyone think it's possible, lets say if Cortana has been turned to human form, that Crimson team will find her on Requem?
  9. Maybe it's possible we'll find out Cortana is alive during a Spartan Ops episode? After all the Librarian is on Requem and the Spartan Ops take place after the Campaign?
  10. See, you say that but there are so many ways they could explain bringing her back, they just need to pick the right one!
  11. I think bringing her back midway through Halo 5 is the solution. I mean that gives time for the Chief to develop and understand himself more and then when she comes back, well, that's a difficult thing to work out what would happen. But it would certainly develop his character more. Also, 343 aren't stupid enough to kill Cortana because they'll probably end up losing half the fan base...
  12. Agree with that, It takes away so much if you know what your character looks like... Cause well otherwise, I know it's sad but you can almost believe it was real. Again, I pretty much agree, will have ruined all the games for me if she's actually dead cause that's all I'll think when I see her.
  13. Couldn't agree more with you on this review. Though saying that, I do believe they'll take something from Halo if they have truly killed her.
  14. Sorry, thanks for changing it though I guess that's possible as well, I mean considering she's in effect a clone of Dr. Halsey, surely if only her memories and personality were stored she could be remade. Though come to think of it, they said Halo 5 would be a much darker game. I guess that means that where ever she ends up will be to do with some Forerunner thing...
  15. Ok, I'm to start by admitting I'm no expert on the Halo Universe, so if I make mistakes please don't tear me apart. I've never played Halo 2 (because it was released on my 10th birthday), however I've played through the Reach, Halo 3, Halo 4 and most of Combat Evolved campaigns. I also watch Forward Unto Dawn spent hours researching stuff on the Wiki etc. before the release of Halo 4. Anyway to the point of my post. Firstly, I just don't think 343 could kill off Cortana, I mean what they've done with Halo 4 is absolutely incredible, they've made a game have such a deep and emotional storyline, I can honestly say no other game I've ever played has never had such an effect on my emotions. They built up the characters of Cortana and Chief up to a new level in this game and by therefore seemingly "killing Cortana" engaged everyone more deeply in the storyline and that obviously benefits them. However as they've shown by what they've done with this game, they understand us and they know it would be fatal if they have killed off Cortana. Also they chose to leave Cortana's "death" open, with many possible explanations as to how she could have survived which if they were actually going to kill her, they'd of probably eradicated to make it more dramatic. I'd also like to say that if 343 haven't killed her, from what I've seen of them, it'll be in an incredibly odd and imaginative way. Finally I'd like to conclude by saying the one reason I am reasonably certain they won't have killed her is because of when Cortana says, "don't make a girl a promise you can't keep", which every time I see makes me want to cry . But Chief's a Spartan, and Spartans, Greek or modern don't break promises. Oh and really finally this time, if they killed off Cortana completely then they'd have a bloody hard time trying to make Chief seem human (which I'm assuming was what they were doing). Cause lets face it, there was something between the Chief and Cortana that was making both of them more human and killing one would turn the other one back more machine than they begun. Anyone else agree/think differently?
