  1. I wont adapt ill just leave and play a game that is fun, if 343 wants to take Halo down the hyper competitive road that COD is on then fine ill leave this series and never look back, asking for balance to the DMR is not out of the question thought, it is too strong for a STARTING weapon

  3. 2. the playlist will be added, just be patient, i think they are adding swat next week and maybe some others, grifball will be added and i am sure team snipers will be as well, the game hasnt even been out for a week 3.They should just make friendly fire off like they did in halo reach 1. and i kno how you feel, i have been playing exile, longbow, and meltdown on replay nonstop
  4. if you nerf the DMR and not the BR, then BR will be to strong, just add bloom to all these weapons so players cant spam and problem solved, forcing players to control their shots is not too much to ask for
  5. this thread went to **** pretty quick, glad this community lacks the ability to stay on topic like some hyperactive kid with ADHD, im not complaining about the AR, the AR is fine in this game, i am complaining about the DMR, it is too accurate and too powerful, that goes for the BR and light-rifle as well, these guns are changing the gameplay into something that is simple and boring, halo 4 in its current state in a precision weapon spamfest in almost every playlist, fightfires literally come down to whoever misses first i guess instance death for a single miss is fun now, this gameplay is over competitive im not logging on to halo 4 to prove how skilled i was, im not trying to get a sick K/D, im trying to have fun and this longrange shot for shot instant death gameplay is far from fun you can go ahead and leave this thread, you are posting useless information and are not contributing
  6. Joining in session is a problem, what are the advantages of being able to join a game where i am losing, i have yet to join a game in progress where i am on the winning team. Why do people leave games, they either lag out or they quit because they are losing, so the majority of games that will be joined in session will be games that you are losing, how is this ok, i do not what to join losing battles i do not enjoy this, i will just leave the game, players should be given the option whether to allow join session in progress, some people do like, i do not, if someone leaves my game ill play a man down i dont care, but i do care when i am being force to join a losing game and be expected to pick up the slack
  7. yes i guess the damage is not the issue, the issue is soley on the lack of bloom, 343 has given the players the ability to auto fire thier weapons with no recoil, leading to over precise shooting which is completely boring and is just turning into a spamfest
  8. i have many firefights too, thats not my point, my point is each firefight is just a DMR fest that results in either a quick death or falling back to regain shield, i do not want my entire halo 4 career to be DMR fighting and so far that is what it has been

I want all precision weapons besides carbine nurfed, i believe that best idea is to increase bloom and make getting hit while scope cause player to unscope, these small changes can balance gameplay in a very simple way and increase players ability to survive yes exactly, BR/DMR/Light-Rifle are all too strong, add increased bloom and unzoom on hit and i think the gameplay will feel much more balanced

You cannot compare LAN parties to online multiplayer, online multiplayer had was more players and way more involvement, that gameplay and tactics of halo2/3 were what standardized halo multiplayer, and the developers should discourage lone wolfing by increasing players survivability, if firefights last longer than teamates can provide support and make fights more interesting, instead of what i am getting from halo 4 at the moment which is constant DMR/BR showdowns that last like 4 seconds than a player is dead, is is boring and getting old extremely quick

I would love if all precision weapons were taken out from starting weapons, but that will not happen, i believe the carbine has a perfect feel to if and very balanced damage output, after your original post i went and tested the Light-Rifle and yes it is just as strong as the DMR, so i suggest since these weapons will remain as starting weapons that they receive a modest damage reduction that will improve the survivability of players, if it is possible for someone to take statistics of team slayer games from halo2/3/reach/4 and find out the average lifespan of players i believe it would show a significant drop in halo 4 compared to 2 and 3, what i am arguing for mainly is that players be given a better chance to live and if hardcore DMR longrange tactics is what people want then limit that to certain playlist so casuals that just want to have fun can play without having to put on their try-hard pants for everygame, 343 should cater to the casuals first, they are the majority in this game, the people that just want to have fun with a little competition involved, if they cater to the hardcore super skilled players that favor intense quick firefights that are over in a few seconds then they are going to create a frustrated hyper competitive game that i and many other will find unenjoyable, i am also aware this game is very new and that playlist like actionsack and grifball will be added for the fun lovers out there yes i realize the BR is ultra strong as well, i want damage reduction across the board for all precision weapons mainly the DMR/BR/Light-Rifle, or if damage reduction is not favored, then how about increased bloom to reduce accuracy or getting hit will take you out of scope, for whatever reason 343 seems to support the use of unhindered precision rifle gameplay
  12. 1.Ok well this is a matter opinion, not a huge deal, they could at least give me an option to not want to join session in progress, 6.Halo CE did not set up the groundwork for how multiplayer should be, halo 2 on xbox live did, there were way more people playing that and way more people creating playstyles and strategies that carried over to halo 3, lone wolf tactics should not be acceptable in halo, but now in halo 4 they are due to how weak player's health is compared to weapon damage, in halo2/3 sure you could lone wolf if you had a power weapon for a bit, but generally if you tried to go solo you would end up either dying or getting a single kill then being cleaned up by an enemy.
  13. you cant tell people to stop being butthurt, stop being terrible and expected to be taken seriously, if you want to contribute to a forum post how about just providing a respect viewpoint without resorting to flaming the poster, and telling people to leave Halo 4 because they are making suggestions to 343 is childish, if people do not critique a game then how will anyone know something is wrong

The others are not my problem, i was in situations hundreds of times in halo3/haloreach where i was a man or multiple men down, i would finish the game and not complain, it sucks but it never happened to me frequently so i did not mind, but now i have the chance everytime i join a game to be put into a losing situation, this bothers me, if this becomes a frequent occurrence i will be to frustrated to play 6.This isnt Halo anymore, their is core gameplay that defines a game, this gameplay was established in halo2/3, it created a understanding of Halo multiplayer tactics, Reach branched off in a whole new directions and now halo 4 has gone in an even further directions, Team Slayer is not longer about offensive map control in order to get the power weapons, it is now about Holding a defensive position and getting long ranged kills with the DMRs, and after a few kill you get a ordinance drop and BOOM your defensive boring gameplay has been rewarded with some form of power whether it be a sniper or overshield, the game puts on the mask of a halo game, but no longer plays like one, it has the name Halo, but no longer has the character

I do not want to join games where i am losing where is the fun in picking up the slack on something i have nothing to do with, i want to join games that are fresh and i that give me the option to lose, i do not want to join games where i have to right from the start make up already lost ground which is difficult to do in halo 6.Yes of course have respect, but you should also be given the right to critique and gripe over somethings in the game that trouble you, i respect the game and its developers, but this is not Halo anymore, it is something else
  16. 1.The Join in session should not exist, it was like that in halo pc? so what does that have to do with console gaming, the reason games have empty spots 60% of the time are because the enemy team is crushing and people leave, who wants to join a game they are losing, i have joined about twelve games in sessions so far over about 18 hours of play and each time i am join a losing team, this is not a necessary addition to the game, i never wanted this in my halo's it was never a problem in previous halos 6. if you get hit while scoped in it should take you out of scope, when using a DMR and getting hit i have no trouble maintaining my aim, there is no reason to stay scoped in while taking damage, it just encourages boring precision weapon game play

I want to be able to run around and no instantly die, this isnt COD, THIS ISNT ABOUT KILL DEATH RATIO, dying as little as possible and getting as many kill is your main goal then you are doing it wrong, playing like that is dull and simplistic, where is the fun in preserving life and avoiding action, you play the game with the mentality of of COD player, I WANT TO BE ABLE RUN IN THE OPEN i want to being offensive and in the action at all times, but with these OP DMR's i cant run into battle, i am being force to play like everyone else and DMR fight long-range, this is not traditional halo gameplay, look at halo 2 and halo 3 multiplayer barely any of the maps favored players that hid in the back, Halo-Reach made the move to DRM long ranged focused gameplay and towards the later days of the game they removed all the fun playlist like action sack or anniversary big team, and nearly every game turned into DMR slayer, this game is evolving into something favors over-competitive gameplay and high K/Ds this isnt even going against my gripes on the DMR, but the AR is supposed to win close quarters every time, the problem is close quarters combat is difficult to achieve because if you try to travel anywhere youll be mowed down by 5 shots from a DMR
  18. sitting back is not halo, that is not how you play halo, that is how you play COD, in COD you sit back and stack kills so you can earn a kill streak, Halo is about aggressive play where offense is the winner, being offensive and controlling the map in order to gain access to power weapons has always been the way to play halo, now 343 allows players to hide behind objects and snipe with their DMR that have no bloom at all and then they earn ordnance and get power weapons without playing offensive at all, they are supporting dull gameplay Blind spray and pray does not work at all, and the Saw is a powerweapon that you do no spawn with so being able to blindly shoot with that is fine, the AR cannot be sprayed against a player with any sort of talent, and i support nerfing precision weapons due to their high accuracy and high damage output, all i am asking for is a tiny nerf that would support more close quarters combat and punish players that wish to hide in the back

BR loses accuracy over distance which makes it fine although i wouldnt be against a nurf, and DMR is not fine, it does not belong as a starting weapon in every playlist, it encourages tryhard over-competitive tactics and every game just devolves into team control high ground with long range DMR, the Light rifle has a slightly lower rate of fire and fire at a quicker rate works much better with the DMR, along with that the light-rifle loses its single shot when unzoomed making it weaker than the DMR close-quarters

Ok so dont even play like it is halo then, open spaces avoid them are you kidding dude???? how am i supposed to get from point A to point B by sticking to cover, this game is all about moving through open spaces, and standing still?? i never stand still i am constantly capping bases and supporting teamates, i am dying because i DMR can easily kill a player from distance and the death comes in an instant when 2 DMR players attack you, and no i am not new i am a veteran to all halo games, i wouldnt be gripping if i halo 4 was my first game
  21. yes leave it the way it is, just not as a starting weapon it is way to strong, it doesnt lose any accuracy close quarters or long range and when you hit a player scoped in they stay scoped in

I have a lot of memories of Halo where me and another player are getting shot for shot until one of us misses, I find it pretty fun. The more skilled player tends to come out on top imo." i understand the fun of a talented DMR fight, but it should no be present in every game type, DMR start should be limited to only certain playlist like SlayerPro
  23. I find myself not enjoying the mutliplayer of this game very much and the main reason is DMR. The gun is too strong and leads to quick unenjoyable combat. DMR fights are usually 2 people side stepping going shot for shot until 1 of them gets 4 hits to the head in a row, it is very dull doing this every couple of minutes. Another issue with the DMR is how easily a single person can pick a player off across the map. Half of my deaths in Big Team Infitity slayer involve me being gunned down across the map by 1 or 2 players with the DMR which is very frustrating. I realize the game has only been out for a couple of days and changes will be made. I would enjoy seeing more playlist that involve no prescion weapons at spawn and that encourage greater close quarters combat. The DMR could use a slight damage reduction as well or just be taken out as a starting weapon choice, the BR should really be the only prescion weapon at start.
