  1. The entire Halo series have always been centered around Cortana and Master Chief. It's his partner, the one he communicates with. Why would they take this away, if not just momentarily? There's no reason what so ever to kill off Cortana for good. It's always been about promises and keeping promises. Don't make a girl a promise you can't keep, right? Mark my words: John is gonna find her again. And I agree with the guy above me. The majority of Halo 5 will be in search of Cortana, or at least a way to get her back. I reckon maybe the game will end in a major cliffhanger where you either find her or they at least drop a huge hint that she's somewhere to be found. Halo 6 will probably be back to MC/Cortana, running and gunning as a team.
  2. I've been a Halo fan ever since a friend of my big brother took his Xbox over to our place and showed us Halo. Halo 2, 3, ODST, Reach, all of them were day-one buys, even picked up a couple of Legendary or collector editions as if I could (afford it.) I pretty much played them all to death, both in campaign and multiplayer. So I was pretty disheartened when Bungie felt they were finished with Halo, and quite skeptic or even nervous when another studie picked up the franchise and would continue it. Boy did you blow all my skepticism away. (Note: I've only played the campaign so far.) What an incredibly fantastic game. There are some points I'm not too pleased with, but as a whole Halo 4 is everything I ever wanted Halo to be. I love the "new" and talkative Master Chief, I love the weird and somewhat disturbing relationship he has with Cortana (and how much more real it feels than Joker/EDI) and I love how much they talk. The new Cortana and how much more personal everything was really sold me. Master Chief was a badass at the same time as he was.. well. Human? Normal? Had emotions? The new guns were cool, I loved the feel of the weapons, the graphics were amazing and the campaign felt fast paced and fantastic. If I were to nitpick I'd complain that the campaign could be a bit longer and I'd also prefer if you empathised the music a tad bit more. Previous Halo games has had some quiet moment (little ambient noise) to really put the music out there. I didn't really notice any melodies in Halo 4, sadly. Maybe the one in the end where you realised you were gonna lose Cortana. And the credits. Can't wait for Halo 5. And please don't kill Cortana off for good. Things just got interesting and it would suck ass if you dropped heading into that direction. Keep being awesome and keep creating awesome Halo games, please. I have faith, 343.
