It seems in small team battles, whichever team gets host wins. Maybe not to the extend Gears had, but it is still very noticable, especially when you watch killcams and such.
Just played a game where of the enemy players were from Mexico and for some unknown reason they get host and they just destroy everyone because our shots miss even when they hit, and their's hit even when they miss (On our screen ofc, but it doesn't matter since they get host)
I have yet to think of a decent reason why on earth a game of this magnitude doesn't have dedicated servers, as any self-respecting multiplayer game should.
