TRUE, was basically just trying to add some light to the subject. Tired of seeing hate filled threads/topics for no reason when the game is brand new. Am I giving 343 a free pass? Eh, no. I think some of the things should have already been in but I am trying to think positively that they will change in time.
-
OP, You do realize that they are adding more and more playlists each week, or trying to accommodate what everyone wants? DO I agree that they should have had some simple Halo-long-time-fan playlists right off the bat? Yes, but they were trying to see the criticisms with their new playlists and what the community's reaction was to them. They will add more in due time just wait and see. Next week I heard they are adding Team Snipers (I LOVE THAT PLAYLIST) and it was also confirmed they were working on a regular FFA and Team Doubles. SO please, research before you post hate threads like this. I could understand if it was 3 months since the game came out and NOTHING was being added, but seriously after one week? Goodness.... -UnSeEnZ

No one said you werent an avid Halo fan. To bring some light to this discussion if you ever heard of CounterStrike you would really know what I am talking about. The most successful game of the series (and still is in my opinion) was CounterStrike 1.6. 1.6 was very competitive and super not-newb-friendly. When Source came out, it changed. It became less competitive and cattered to more average gamers. ALOT of 1.6 players hated Source for like 5 years, then all of a sudden players started getting used to the different style of play and played both competitively. Years later, Counterstrike GO (Global Offensive) came out and set the tone again as being more competitive than Source but still maintaining some still to catter to average gamers. It was competitive enough that 1.6 players switched over to GO. (BTW THIS RANTish was meant to help you to understand that this happens to every game, fill the blanks in for COD, DOTA, and any other used to be extremely competitive game) This is not a bad thing, Halo 4 is a "newer" style of Halo 2. It has more competitive value (I believe) than Reach ever did and offers that same awesomeness H3 did (just screwing around and having a good time). If you do not like the game so much after a week, put it down like I did (more or less because I was getting frustrated at some things) for a couple of days and go back to it. 343 will change some things trust me. CSR will drastically improve this game and give everyone 1-50 ranks like they wanted in Halo Reach. 343 is listening to the community. So PLEASE for the love of goodness, stop flaming around the forums making people angry and pissed for no reason because YOU are having a bad experience. Like I said, BLOPS2 is a great game and it may take your mind off of some of the issues you are having with Halo 4 and remember every game nowadays is modernized (meaning it will always catter to average gamers). Thanks and happy gaming! UnSeEnZ

Hayabusa armor was the best! It was at least until everyone got it LOL! Definitely agree they should add something similar back.

I am thinking it is more of a lag issue then anything. Plus there has been confirmed issues with class loadouts, etc. just disappearing so maybe, just maybe you are experiencing a bit of both lag and class loadouts disappearing at the same time Lol. I really do not know, when things like that happen I more or less just leave the game.

Generally, I do not have kill cam issues unless it is super frame-rate lagging or just plain connection lag. Try uninstalling Disc 1 on your HD, the kill cams seemed to work oh so much better and I experienced a lot less frame-rate lag.
-
thank you for your input I will post what you said in the OP.
-
hey if it still works, dont have to fix whats not broken. Anyways so you can confirm you are having no issues then? With the Disc 1 not being installed and all.
-
Thanks, yeah sorry if I came off disagreeing with you. Your explanation made sense and maybe, just maybe having the game installed through a flashdrive might be more beneficial than the Hard Drive. I really do not know, but one thing I do know is the xbox hardware is most definitely outdated and anything that could potentially help is always a plus. Glad to have your input and happy gaming! Okay, let me get this straight.... You are saying that because this game is not exactly like Halo 2 it is crap? Honestly, Halo 2 was a crap fest past 45. I got lucky to hit 46 in TS because one of my friends helped to mod to battle other modders. The only game that really measured true skill out of the series was Halo 3. Halo 4 is getting there but the CSR will not release until Early 2013. Why don't you take a break for a few days and come back to the game? IF not well, BLOPS2 is actually pretty good and is as competitive if not more competitive than MW1. Next time state your concerns in a mature fashion, not bashing the population that likes Halo 4. We all liked Halo 2 and 3 but it is time to move on and enjoy another game, a different one. UnSeEnZ

I feel you pain, this is a definite issue. I agree that sometimes join in progress seems to work against you more than helps the teams BUT let us talk this one out. In Halo 3, it always stunk when people left the game when you may have had a chance to win, or in the beginning of the game. This system is actually somewhat good (may need to be tweaked but I am not overly upset about this addition). You have to understand that 343 was trying to make multiplayer slightly more fun than before, meaning you would not auto-lose a game because you were down people against a decent team. This setting always gives a team a chance to win. This is incorrect to an extent. There IS true skill in the game right now. You may not notice it because it is "Invisible" and monitored by 343's servers. This I disagree with 343 for doing. If you have a true skill ranking system YOU MUST do something like BF3 did by adding the rating in your profile so people can see and maybe not be AS upset when they may be performing underpar because of their trueskill ranking. Do you get bad teammates even with similar trueskill levels? YES, it happened in Halo 3 ALL THE TIME. YOu just have to get used to it, I remember I would play team snipers in H3 and get 30 kills and still lose when I was a lvl 45. I was matched up against and with close levels but for some reason my team mates were more than less helpful. Okay, let's stomp this stupid comparison. COD AND HALO ARE DIFFERENT GAMES. While both games have things the others have, they are both UNIQUE. So please, when you are comparing two games support it. Put evidence as to how you think they are similar. I agree to an extent that the perks seem a little, how to put this, broken; but the perks are not. If you do not like perks go play Slayer Pro. You only have resupply and EVERYONE has it, so it is not unfair, etc, etc. Completely disagree with this. Why? because every weapon in this game is balanced well. The BR is MOST effective at close to mid range while the DMR is MOST effective at mid to long range. Essentially they made it so if you are good with a weapon you can use it in any scenario. This goes for the BR, if you know how the shots work then you can use it effectively at long range. You just have to get used to how the weapons work and what their strengths and weaknesses are. I prefer using the DMR when I am on bigger maps and the BR during Infinity Slayer. This is personal preference but allows the user to CHOOSE what they feel is better in certain scenarios or maps. Have you thought maybe you are just in laggy games? If it seems to be laggy do what everyone else does and either tough it out or join another game. Simple. I disagree and agree. Ranking up with points or XP NEVER EVER EVER (yes lol), proves skill. However, if people choose to play games on their free-time rather than watching t.v., going to the movies, or doing something else not important then that is THEIR CHOICE, not yours not mine. If people show off their rank or w.e., ignore and move on. It was in Halo : Reach? lol. This is a good mechanic because they wanted the multiplayer to feel more fast paced to compete with the market. The Halo Series needed a rejuvenation after the atrocity Reach was released. They felt that they could implement this style of play to A) attract more players and for competitive purposes. I really do not see the issue with sprint in the game. Okay, you are right Halo 3 and Reach are most definitely off the radar right now. However, you are entitled to your own opinions and as a consumer you can express your concerns, legitimately. I disagreed mostly by how you handled each of your topics and each one made me feel like you were raging more than giving an HONEST AND CONCISE assessment of your issues with the game. I think in the future, if you want to express concerns you should do it A) more maturely and more clear and concise. Take the time the next time you write something like this and understand where you are posting this discussion and why you are posting this discussion. Flaming and Raging on a community forum will get you no where, in fact, will get you no where with 343. REMEMBER!: Games are undergoing something called MODERNIZATION. This is what the vast majority of gamers nowadays want, so they will receive. You honestly should give 343 time, this game came out a week ago. It is more or less unfair to expect someone to change something overnight. Have a good day. Try BLOPS2 I heard the game was cool and had a similar feel to the only good Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 1. -UnSeEnZ

BTW, I did this uninstall fix and all the kill cams were near perfect. (I mean let's be honest no kill cam is ever perfect in every game) BUT, it at least showed me kind of what happened. Sometimes the kill cams are like "WHAT JUST HAPPENED?" Others are not so bad.
-
I agree, but for some reason I had less frame rate issues when I uninstalled Disc 1. I know of two other people I helped on my FL that is worked for as well. I think it has something to do with the HD getting confused as to what data to read and when the Xbox gets "hot" it may not full read the data on the HD. Trust me, this is all speculation and I just wanted to share a possible fix for the community.

Looks so good thank you!
-
Potentially correct, that is why I started something like this to maybe get noticed slightly and considered. 343 has a track record for helping / listening to the community and they promised before Halo 4 was released they would do just that. We have to give these things some time.

Yeah it it nice to have a decent internet connection but I will tell you that was why I was so baffled.

Disclaimer: I took time and effort to give knowledge I did not have to give to the community. Therefore, do not come on here bashing what I said and telling me facts I already know (Such as Microsoft "SAYS" that installing discs on the HD improves performance) I KNOW THE FACTS and am not making anything up. Read and you might learn something. Same rules apply with all my posts: Do not flame, rage, bad manner me or anyone else, and please for the love of gosh do not skip over reading the posts and put ignorant / unwelcome comments. Thanks. Hello community, I found something that could potentially be useful to some of you that may be experiencing game-breaking lag or frame rate issues. The proposed solution is more of a suggestion and something simple to do that does not take time nor does it guarantee a fix. Worth a shot if you ask me, because this simple solution seemed to work for me. Yes, they need to fix the regional filter or add a better lag compensation filter but that is not the topic of discussion for right now. These steps may provide help with issues with either "lag" or AKA "frame-rate lag": -Uninstall Disc 1 of Halo 4 (I know, THEY SAY it increases performance but really it doesnt (I will discuss further down). -Try Matchmaking, Campaign, or Spartan Ops (Whatever may have been giving you issues with the lag). Now what made me come to this conclusion? Well, I had been lagging so bad or what I thought was lag for about 3 days straight. I was so angry I took a break from Halo 4 (LOL, IKR). I tried getting responses on the forums and in the waypoint forums and people were saying things like this "LAWLS YOU HAVE A BAD CONNECTION BRO" and other things of that nature. Well, let me tell you, I have a 25 mbps Download speed, 4.2 upload speed, and a 12 ping. That is not a bad connection. So it brought me to the conclusion something was just wrong with the game. Like I said before, they most definitely need to add a regional filter / "good-connection" filter much like Halo 3 and Reach but that is another topic for another day. So, I was talking to my buddy. He told me "man you just gotta ask people who are not having issues with the game that have good connections like yourself, I am one of them." He told me he did not install Disc 1 of Halo 4. I was surprised and questioned why? He said there could be an issue with it reading 2 things at once on the hard drive and would more than likely be the cause of the framerate atrocious game-breaking lag. He was right and it worked. The Hard Drive in many cases is faster than a laser reader. If you think about it, when the game has to read two simultaneous things it will decrease performance. We were forced to install Disc 2, which is fine, but when it comes down to it the game itself has maybe similar or extra data on Disc 1. This MAY (MAY NOT WILL!!!!!) fix issues with people's online performance. Read it and understand it. AT THE VERY LEAST GIVE IT A SHOT, IT WORKED FOR ME. REALIZE THAT THERE ARE ISSUES WITH REGIONAL FILTERS, ETC. BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN 100% OF THE TIME YOU ARE NOT JUST LAGGING AND JUST FRAME RATE LAGGING. ALSO REMEMBER: This is a person-to-person issue, some may not have any problems with it installed others do. Do not post "OH I DONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS BLAH BLAH BLAH" you are being inconsiderate and your opinion only strays others away from attempting something that may be the cure. Thanks community and happy gaming! UnSeEnZ For better clarification on people that are not experiencing issues following this I went ahead and decided to post a quote list below:

Listen everyone, I actually really enjoy Halo 4, but they seriously need to add a social playlist that does not account for true skill. Sometimes I like to screw around and have fun but when you are consistently matched up against try-hards and halo pros this game starts to look really dull, really fast. Might give BLOPS2 a try, seeing as everyone who said it was going to be garbage now says it is absolutely amazing. Your thoughts and maybe suggestions / anything you heard, UnSeEnz

I also found out that frame rate lag can be accounted for if your xbox runs discs better than reading off of the hard drive. I just am really tired of this and consistently being teamed up against Final Boss (Halo pro team) and Company every single game. It is so frustrating I have to try my hardest to go positive....

See the problem is I do not want to quit. I love Halo, but the problem comes in when 343 tries to go the cheaper way out and not actually listen to people with lag issues. Look at the population right now, I know it is during the day but at night there is maybe 200k online. That is atrocious, they NEED to freaking address the lag issues or this game will surely die.

I just suggested under my topic to create a system without changing it completely. What you are describing with Halo 3 is a "ping-like" system, where better connection = win. HOWEVER, when you have lag compensation in a matchmaking game it creates issues more than just host gets first shot. The game becomes unplayable at times, and no its not just 1 or 2 games for me. Umm, I actually do need to put my ranks for validity. Why? Because the Halo community generally would laugh at claims and call me "bad" because it is not happening to them.
