Hi, my name is a Johnrap, I am a human of earth origins. I'm currently serving a perma-ban on Bungie.net for accidentally replying to a meme thread on multiple occassions. I never instigated a meme, just accidentally replied to them. I sometimes wonder if that's an intentional thing. Like an unspoken management principle. Getting idiots to follow crowds into stupid decisions. I'd never fall for it in real life, but I figure there's always another video game forum, and I don't need to be so careful.
I'm a long time fan of the Halo series, even though I didn't play Halo 1 until it was out for a year already. I'm a longer fan of Xbox Live. I got Xbox Live almost at Live's launch, when all you could play on it was MotoGP, Mech Assault and Unreal, maybe one or two other titles. I got on Xbox Live at its baptism, but Xbox Live was confirmed with the release of Halo 2. The release of Halo 2 and the midnight oil burning multiplayer madness it spurred was a global event of epic proportions. Xbox Live went from unknown to cultural phenomenom with the release of Halo 2.
I suck at Halo. I always have. I probably always will. However, I once topped the charts in NFL Fever 2004. I'm generally unbeatable in football games. The timing of them is just right for me. You don't need the split second timing of a shooter, nor the long term planning of SIMS. The timing for football games is right in my wheel house. Combine that with my ability to run a no huddle offense, read your mind on defense, and my ability to analyze all the players on the field and find the seam pretty much every time and my football is unbeatable.
Again, though, I'm really terrible at Halo. I'm actually beyond terrible. I can't beat a 5 year old at Halo. I love the Halo story though. And I muddle my way through Legendary Solo with every Halo release.
So, that's me. Sorry if my post was too long to be read. Thanks for reading. I hope to see you on the forums.
