  1. Worked out pretty well for Lenin and it's ceremonial. Also, you are the one who suspected my ties to the Nazi party and had no proof to back it up. I do not, nor have I ever had any ties to the Nazi party. As a matter of fact, a few of my family members have died fighting the Nazi's in WWII, so it would be extremely distasteful for me to even consider it in the first place. Now, I realize that you are just kidding around, or "trolling" as the kids call it these days, but making wild accusations such as this is immature and rather low of a man of your station.
  2. Honestly, I'd prefer more casual gamers in Swat than a bunch of MLG tryhards because I don't usually play with an actual team. While I do enjoy playing against people that are good (for the challenge) I'd also like to play against people that aren't (for teh lulz). If they added a ranking system, then Swat would go the way of Arena and probably end up an unplayed playlist except by a few hundred people worldwide.
  3. There shouldn't be a single FPS that's been released in the past decade that rates above Halo, considering all of the things that Halo CE did for FPS. If they had patented all of the features that that game had that made it super playable (e.g. two weapon system, limited ammo/grenades to a reasonable amount, and several other things) CoD, GoW, and other FPS would still play clunkier than a rusted robot doing the chicken dance. Even Halo 2 contributed to the modern FPS in a big way, with regenerative health, timed lobbies, and such.
  4. I would hope so, however no one has actually gone into detail about it yet. Also, I hope that they include a way to get all of the different skins, it's kind of BS that the only way you can get them is by pre-ordering from a certain company. I'm pretty sure that's Microsoft's fault rather than 343i's, but it's still crap. :/
  5. Honestly, I've been split between both. I've owned a PS3 and an X-Box 360 (bought the PS3 new and the 360 used). My PS3 fried itself and died a good 6 months after I got it, while my X-Box is still going strong. Not to mention that X-Box has had all of the games I've ever wanted to play (except for Heavy Rain, but that's the one that killed my PS3 apparently). I used to be a huge Sony fan (mainly due to the Final Fantasy series) but their competition with Microsoft is getting kind of dumb. They release a console that is (while hugely upgraded) essentially the same as their previous version except with a HDD and a blueray player. I was cool with that. But then my PS3 literally destroyed itself while my USED X-Box was perfectly fine. Not only that but they refused to give me a replacement even though I had a warranty. If you've ever called Sony Support, it's a horrible experience that will leave you raging. Microsoft Support may be boring and tedious, but at least their support reps are arsehats. To top it all off, this E3 they pretty much told gamers that they didn't give two ****s about them. Microsoft announced that they were adding some new features and such, and this is pretty much what Sony did. So, yeah, gonna have to go with X-Box.
  6. Honestly, there were only 2 good parts of E3 for me. First was Nintendo's conference simply because of how entertaining it was. Second was the peek at Halo 4. I didn't know that they would go that far in-depth revealing Halo 4, so it was an awesome surprise when they came up with a live action trailer AND a stage demo. Plus letting us watch MLG playing the multiplayer was an awesome bonus. EA's conference was majorly disappointing (and downright angering, in fact). Not to mention Sony's conference. Which went a little like this. Then came the disappointment from Valve. Like most Half-Life fans, I have been hoping to hear of another Half Life game, preferably a Half-Life 3. However, Valve seems to be avoiding the number 3 like a plague.
  7. Most people who play Reach don't have all of the map packs, so don't worry about it. There are only a couple of different playlists that require you to get the DLC anyways. And the only time you get to play on DLC maps is when everyone in the lobby has the DLC (which is rare, because as I said earlier most people do not), so there isn't much point to getting it now that Halo 4 is only a few months away.
  8. Welcome to the forum. The first thing you are going to want to do to get more into Halo is play the games. Halo has a rather immense storyline, and every game contributes to the storyline (even Halo Wars and Halo 3 ODST). You can get Halo CEA (the first Halo game remake), Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, and Halo Wars from Gamestop. For Halo 2, you can get the PC version rather cheap (if not for free). After that, read the books. It's unlikely that you are going to find the books at the library, so you may have to brave the musty depths of a used book store to find all of them. Alternatively, you can get a good chunk of them online in a Epub format (or as a PDF). As for the order you should read them in, you can find a list of the order with a simple google search. After you get done reading the books, check out this topic. http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/6130-halo-did-you-knows/ It includes some things that you have to be a hardcore Halo fan to know. I would read the books and play the games first though, because there are some spoilers. The storyline behind Halo is very very deep. More deep than your average FPS. I hope you have fun with the story rich environment of Halo.
  9. That is really a situation dependent thing. If it really didn't matter which one of us I'd have to kill, then I'd probably end up trying to kill you simply because killing oneself is a shameful thing to do. I'd give you a sporting chance to defend yourself though. Because it can cause drowsiness after you wake up. It can make you drowsy for an extended period of time. Plus, it's drug induced drowsiness rather than being exhausted induced drowsiness, which means that you won't get rid of it with a nap.
  10. I had a ***htmare about a ***erian Dark K***ht named ***ahiga last ***ht. Then a ***htingale named ***el woke me up.

  11. ***ht, k***ht, ***el, ***eria, ***erian, and ***ahiga. :D

  12. Also, to put a photo as your signature, first you have to have a link to the photo of the signature, then you have to copy paste the link into the signature box, then you have to unlink the copy pasted link. One that's done, just put [/img.] without the period before and after the link.
  13. I'd give up por... "videos". HA! And I would rather be a Spartan II. Or maybe a Spartan IV, depending on the specs of their genetic enhancements.

    Helmets

I'm wearing Haz-ops with the third attachment Because A: It looks awesome in white and B: hardly anyone else wears it. ;D
  15. They are Promethean, not Prometheans. Prometheans are forerunners who are in the warrior class who have evolved to their highest potential. Physically, Prometheans were the highest form a Warrior-Servant could mutate to, standing around four meters tall and between 800 and 1,000 kilograms in weight. They were heavily muscled, their hands capable of easily crushing a human skull. What's the difference between Promethean and Prometheans? Prometheans designed things that are Promethean. Therefor, their technology is Promethean, and also inorganic. The enemies in Halo 4 are "Promethean class" but still nothing other than weaponry. Sophisticated and deadly weaponry, to be sure, but weaponry nonetheless.
  16. Not if the banshee and the pilot are at full health. I've had many a staredown when I was in a Scorpion and some other guy was doing the banshee bombing thing. Also, it's hard to pull off firing 2 whole clips of DMR ammo at a vehicle that can not only evade, but can shoot and evade so quickly that it is nearly impossible to get an actual lock on with it. Also, good luck pulling off a direct hit from a scorpion against a "flipper". And if it's so easy to destroy, then why are there people who go +30 in 20+ games in a row using it? You don't even have to have that much experience in a banshee to be able to get at least a spree with it. The Scorpion is vulnerable to every single weapon on the map (literally, even your fist). The Banshee, on the other hand, isn't. Plasma Launchers and Rockets will only land a hit against someone who doesn't know how to use a banshee, small arms fire will only attract it's attention, and the only two weapons that are effective against someone who has any experience in a banshee are the Sniper Rifle and perhaps a lucky shot with the Spartan Laser. Oh, and if you get REALLY lucky, you can take it down with a donkey punch. However, you still end up dead in that scenario. The fact of the matter is the Banshee is the hardest to kill and easiest to kill with vehicle on Halo Reach. That makes it OP. Only if they added some extra armor plating to all of the other vehicles as well, and took away the banshees unlimited evades. I mean seriously, it's a bit of a joke that you can kill a Scorpion tank (a vehicle that is SUPPOSED to be small arms resistant) with the smallest arms in the game (e.g. the magnum and plasma pistol).
  17. 3rd Battalion 11th Marine Regiment stationed in 29 Palms, CA. I served with Mike, Lima, Kilo, and Headquarters batteries.
  18. Not a question. And I'm not playing Simon Says here man :/
  19. This is a reasonable possibility. We did not hear about whether the builder died or not. If you've read Primordium you would know that the Timeless One cannot be the enemy, as he is currently busy being dead... How do you figure? The first Didact respected humanity as an adversary and was actually opposed to completely destroying them. And the second (and most recent) Didact was actually friends with two humans during the events of Cryptum. Nowhere in Cryptum OR Primordium does the Didact say that he despises humanity. Not to mention the Didact is married to the Librarian, who believes all life is sacred and must be preserved. Over the years, some of her sentimentalities have rubbed off on him as well. As far as the Didact being in command of the Prometheans, not necessarily. A rouge AI can take control of units like the Prometheans. It happened in Primordium. One of the likely antagonists that you missed Also the "I will not let you off this planet" that Cortana said may not be towards Chief. She may be talking to the new enemy, who may be trying to escape the planet.
  20. It would depend on which games they won, how much they won by, etc., etc. The NFL has an elaborate tie-break procedure for these sort of incidents. Ultimately, if it was a true and complete tie, the playoffs would be decided by coin toss. 4.62068073 × 10^83
  21. It would be pretty cool if we were the most advanced species out there, but it's highly unlikely. If there are other sentient beings roaming around the cosmos, we are probably a couple more centuries from actually meeting them. Hopefully, humanity will have matured by that time.
  22. Long time coming for this interview! I already knew all that about Twin though. I sort of stalk him. >.> lmao Jk. Interesting read.
  23. I got a shoutout and missed it! I didn't realize q.q Congrats on your one year anniversary with the site Fire I'll be celebrating mine here soon enough
  24. When I see elites, I sort of imagine a Velociraptor mated with a different dinosaur and caught the vampire disease from Blade II. So yeah, kinda.
