The elites will more than likely be playable in Halo 4, just not in Matchmaking or Campaign. Elites will live on, but are not a focal point in Halo 4 like they were in previous games. Who knows what Halo 5 will bring? As far as the OP, the reason people aren't in an uproar about it is because the majority of players play as Spartans. They view the players who play as elites amusing or annoying, and either way it doesn't effect their play-style that much. That's why people don't seem to care. People are selfish, and think about themselves more often than not.

Honestly, I'm a bit torn here. I kinda wish they had an open beta so that we could all get a little sneak peek at some of Halo 4's multiplayer action. On the other hand, I'm thankful because if they DID come out with an open beta there would be 1000's of "I hate this 343i change it" threads popping up every five minutes. Those get annoying -.-

It doesn't tell you that it's sending out the invites to your friends, and it does it over XBL, so you would only know if your friends told you that it was happening. I've gotten about 20 invites from Playfire over the past couple of months. Honestly, any site other than Xbox.com that can actually use your account doesn't sound legit to me. However, after further research, there is fine print that if you agree to, it allows them to send out invites to your friends over XBL. Hotdog, you need to PM a moderator on their site and ask them for help to disable this function. Don't worry, it only sends out 1 message to your friends, it won't send out multiple messages from you to the same friend. Also, never forget, read the fine print.

With Matchmaking, it's not just about your connection. It's about everyone's. With BTB, you have twice the chance of finding crappy hosts. Try setting search preferences to good connection. This way it will search out people who aren't playing on their neighbors wifi.
