  1. Try refreshing it. It takes a few seconds to load for me as well lol
  2. You can have 8 people in a SWAT lobby, which locks the lobby. Then you just play SWAT Stockpile lol
  3. It would definitely be cool if you started out with clean armor at the beginning of the game and as you progressed through the game your armor becomes scratched, dinged, and worn. It would also be pretty cool if how much it was damaged was based on how much damage you've sustained so far in the story, or how many times you have died, or something like that. It would also be pretty awesome if you could choose whether or not your armor looked worn out in multiplayer, and how worn out it would look. :0
  4. Also, on second thought, could this topic be transferred to the 343industries forum? I had forgotten completely about it when I posted it here lol
  5. http://halo.xbox.com/Content/assets/en-us/Podcast/343Sparkast_010.mp3 This sparkast has Frank O'Connor and Kiki Wolfkill Enjoy
  6. Did you know that the suffix "-ee" in a Sangheili name means that that Sangheili has joined the military. For instance, before Thel'Vadamee (the Arbiter) joined the covenant military he was known as Thel'Vadam. Using the "-ee" in one's name is a choice (in other words you do not have to if you do not want to) given to a Sangheili when they join the military. Using the "-ee" in ones name otherwise warrants death.
  7. Riding people on the other team like horses!
  8. I'd like to point out that 343i doesn't just listen to the forums, they pay attention to what is and isn't being played as well. A for instance of this is the voting that's been going on in Team Slayer. They are taking votes on whether or not to make Team Slayer a TU playlist, and will decide this based on the votes for it.
  9. It could be because Halo Waypoint is undergoing some pretty drastic changes. They are currently gearing up to take over responsibility for all of the things that so far Bungie has been responsible for, and this may be causing some delays. Also, if you were offline when you got the achievements, this may affect the upload of the achievements as well. My recommendation is to triple check that you actually have the achievements and that Waypoint has not uploaded them, and then contact Waypoint support. You might be able to get help by posting in this forum http://halo.xbox.com/Forums/yaf_topics22_Halo-Waypoint.aspx.
  10. I broke your quote up and numbered it for an easier counter-point presentation. 1. Halo Reach was completed and released a over a year before Modern Warfare 3 was, so it's obvious that MW3 would be more advanced. MW3 is the newest version of the COD games. The COD game that came out around the same time as Halo Reach did was COD Black Ops. 2. I did not say that it was for only casual FPS players, I said, "it is a good game for casual FPS players." What I meant by this is that it is more casual friendly than other FPS games, such as Halo 3 or Battlefield 3. 3. I was not comparing COD to Halo at all in my post, so I am not sure where this came from, however I do remember making a similar argument in a thread titled "Halo vs CoD?". Here is an excerpt, "Halo and COD are fundamentally different, and comparing them is unfair. Halo is Halo, COD is COD." 4. I'm in full agreement with you on this one, and have in multiple posts lamented on how Halo is becoming more fiction than science, but again, how did it come up? The only comment in my post about Halo was at the very beginning stating that comparing the technology of Halo Reach with Modern Warfare 3 was unfair due to the fact that Reach was released a full year before MW3. I think you sorely misunderstood my post. I was stating the reasons why I personally am not a fan of Call of Duty, rather than saying that everyone should believe as I do.
  11. This http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/GameStats.aspx?gameid=947598062&player=AAN2 this http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/GameStats.aspx?gameid=946630139&player=AAN2 and this http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/GameStats.aspx?gameid=946610901&player=AAN2. Trust me, I know about having crappy teammates and getting matched with players that are well above my skill level. That said, I still don't mind it when I am playing against players who are far better than I am because it gives me a chance to learn how to be on par, or even to surpass them. I do agree with you on the teammates though. More than once I've been teamed against a full team of guys with 3.0k/d's who weren't even in a party when everyone on my team is brand new to the game and isn't even sure how to melee. .-.
  12. Welcome to the forums, have fun and enjoy yourself.
  13. The awkward moment when you betray a teammate on SWAT because they sprinted up behind you while you were wearing turtle beaches...
  14. I would hope the graphics of MW3 would be better than those of Halo Reach, considering MW3 came out over a year after Reach did. As far as COD goes, it's not my cup of tea. However, it IS a good game for casual FPS players. It rewards you for time played, rather than for skill only like other games on the market. Just like any game, if you put enough time into it you will get better at it. As far as the reasons for it not being a game that I play very often: 1. It doesn't have even multiplayer gameplay. What I mean by this is that higher ranked players get better weaponry, giving them an advantage over those who've just started playing or do not play that often. 2. The "ranking" system. Rather than based off of skill alone, players can level up rather quickly just by playing, again rewarding those who "came first" rather than those who are "the best". 3. Realistic graphics, non-realistic ballistics. A .50 caliber sniper rifle WILL blow someone to bits when it hits them. That is a one shot one down weapon. It's max effective range is about 2000 yards. For those of you more familiar with metric, 1829 meters. If you get hit by one of those, you will NOT be combat ready any time soon. That's not to mention the rest of the unrealistic ballistics. 4. Lack of vehicles. This has always bothered me about COD multiplayer, the lack of vehicles. I like vehicles, even if I'm just the one blowing them up. 5. Killstreaks. This is the last on my list because I'm torn on them. I like the idea of being awarded for getting multiple kills in one life, but on the other hand, killstreaks promote "antlion" gameplay. Antlion gameplay is basically camping in an area that sees regular traffic, but in a spot that is difficult (or even impossible) to get killed in. The antlion player will remain in this spot killing anyone nearby until they get a high enough killstreak that they don't even have to leave their spot to get ridiculous amounts of kills. Not to mention some killstreaks can be used in combination to devastate the enemy team (dogs and chopper gunner on black ops, for instance) and an antlion player gets even further rewarded for "camping".
  15. Did you know that a faction of Jackals (Kig-Yar) actually worked together with humans to create "The Rubble", a series of habitats for refugees in an asteroid cluster DURING the war with the Covenant?
  16. It is because they are Japanese, and have honor!
  17. 52 players online? o.O That's quite a bit for a game that still has 8+ months until it is released lol
  18. Did you know that the prophets were actually rebels on their homeworld who believed that forerunner tech should be used instead of just worshiped? The ended up stealing the forerunner dreadnought (the ship in the center of High Charity) and ended up warring with the Sangheili, which led to the forming of the covenant.
  19. Totally a pyro. Water is NOT my friend, and fire has always been pretty good to me.WYR get eaten by a snake or a crocodile?
  20. Did you know that the Hunters (Mgalekgolo) are made up of hundreds of worms (Lekgolo) which live in colonies. When the colony gets too big, it splits into two. That is why Hunters travel in pairs. The spikes on it's back may be antenna to communicate between the bonded pairs. These spikes develop when the colony splits into two. Bonded pairs are usually used in the battlefield, whereas non-paired Hunters are used for interior guard until they become a bonded pair. Hunters have a relatively high rank in the covenant because of how valuable they are as guards and mobile weapons platforms.
  21. A fairy. That way they can help me with my wardrobe instead of trying to make me angry. WYR be able to fly or able to read minds?
  22. I'm an attention harlot, so that's fine by me!
