Good to go. I also am busy this week, on the Epic Map Series.

Alright, send AAN2 a friend request, and tomorrow I will jump on and give you some pointers, if you'd like. Or you can fill out the form and I will do it at my leisure.

To be fair, the reason everyone is jumping his bones on this post is simply because he spammed the forum earlier with several posts that were nothing more than a couple words, emoticons, or phrases that were not in response to anything previously said and did not contribute to the discussion. Everyone knows that that is a no no. I myself saw easily a dozen posts that either made no sense or were blatantly spam in EVERY forum. Want some for instances? How about this one? http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/5832-new-halo-clan-excepts-nearly-all-members-hackersmodders-not-wanted/page__pid__54365?do=findComment&comment=54365 Or this one? http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/5567-if-you-need-help-with-a-map/page__pid__54428?do=findComment&comment=54428 This one? http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/4815-the-halo-universe/page__pid__41410?do=findComment&comment=41410 There are more, but I CBF to track them all down. These are just the ones that jumped out at me. Fact is, this insults me because even though I have been here for a VERY long time, I know I would get banned or have my posts deleted if I did this. As a matter of fact, when I was breaking my posts per day record AD told me to be careful not to spam or he would have to take actions. I managed to do more than 90 posts that day, all of which were legitimate posts. That said, I believe he should be let off with a warning, and have the offending posts deleted. He IS an inexperienced member of this forum, so it IS plausible that he didn't realize that what he was doing has gotten members black named in the past.

343i is not to blame for this problem. That blame goes to Microsoft, who is the company in charge of the XBL servers that Reach uses. You see, Reach does not have dedicated servers, so it has to use the servers that Microsoft sets aside for it's other multiplayer games. Any problems you are having with connection are not 343i's fault, they are your ISP or Microsoft's. That being said, here is what you can do. Set your search restrictions to "Good Connection" and "Language", connect your xbox to your modem using a good Ethernet cable, and call your ISP to see if you are actually getting the connection that you are paying for. If you do all of this and are still getting laggy games, try calling tech support. They may have you do something that you haven't thought of yet.

Halo: Reach My newest creation. Tenochtitlan.
The Director replied to The Director's topic in Competitive Maps
lol it IS bigger than it looks. It supports BTB and BFFA. -
To me, recon looks dumb. I have Recon armor on my Nocturn account, and never wear it. And honestly, I don't care about people who preorder. They shouldn't get anything except for the game. Most people who preordered Halo Reach are still in the generals. I would like to see more armor, but am willing to wait for Halo 4. I don't like the preorder bs because Halo Reach came out just before I got back from deployment, so I wasn't able to preorder a copy to get the GS Recon helmet. It's a good thing that it doesn't affect armory completion, because I would be REALLY pissed. And no, I'm not jealous of your little trinket helmet. I wear Haz-Ops. I wanna look like a badass who can take on an entire covenant fleet, not a tiny little recon spartan. As far as Bungie not listening Mystic, the reason they didn't do anything about the actual gameplay was because they couldn't. They didn't have the manpower or time to set up a TU like 343i did. Look how long it took 343i to do so! They aren't even completely finished with it yet! Bungie did what they could for the fans, like the contest to bring some community created content (which was something almost EVERYONE wanted at the time) to matchmaking. They had Super Jackpots, just like we asked for. They did a lot for us. However, 343i>Bungie in my opinion, because so far 343i hasn't done something that tore what we knew as cannon to pieces yet.

That map has the most amazing glitches you will EVER see xD That's one of the few maps where if you rub up against your teammates and jump off it counts as a betrayal, rockets can change trajectory at random, grenades sometimes don't blow up, and occasionally stickies become heat seeking.

I remember where I read it from. It was a post on Bnet shortly after H4 was announced. Good find though, considering how long ago that was. Kudos to you good sir.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Microsoft has a long-standing tradition of alienating the companies that leave it. I don't think they would leak anything about Halo 4 to Bungie after Bungie left. As for the employees at 343i, they have all signed shush orders, and would know better than to tell anyone at Bungie anything about Halo 4. Microsoft is VERY good at keeping a secret when they want to. The threat of being sued is good incentive to keep one's mouth shut.

So we need to kidnap and torture the European partners for info eh? >.>

The weapons placement in most of the maps are a bit of a problem. In many maps, blue team spawns with an advantage because they are closer to power weapons. In some maps, red team has the advantage because of the same reason. Reflection, Sword Base, Pinnacle, and a few others spawn teams ridiculously close to power weapons. In Reflection, the blue team can get the sniper and the sword first, and have a competitive shot at the shotgun and rockets. The red team has to haul it to shotgun and rockets to be able to nab them. If someone with any skill and a jetpack grabs the sniper, they can usually pick of the red guys going for the rockets. And the guy who grabs the sword can go up top and cover the sniper. With Sword Base, Blue Team spawns ridiculously close to the sword, and can easily get to the sniper or shotgun with a jetpack. See a pattern here? In both cases, Red Team has to grenade spam or get very lucky to get any power weapons. In Pinnacle, the blue team can jump down right after the spawn and go through the teleporter and grab the shotgun or sniper. There are only three power weapons ON Pinnacle, and blue team has immediate access to two of them right off the bat. The only centered power weapon on that map is the Rockets. As far as the symmetry argument I saw earlier, Powerhouse is an asymmetrical map that doesn't give any power weapon advantages away during initial spawn. Both teams have equal runs to the main power weapons (Rockets and Gravhammer). It's not THAT hard to be able to place power weapons evenly on an asymmetrical map. Even a newb like me can do it pretty easily, and the guys who made those maps are supposed to be professionals. And the last point, risk. For many of the maps it's easy to be able to grab power weapons, and there isn't much risk involved. When I used to play as a team in Halo 3, I used to hear "Someone's going for the (insert power weapon here)!" and we would all coordinate our fire on that area. Now half the time you can't even SEE when someone is going for a power weapon. The other half of the time players can literally use the power weapon they just picked up to great effect. This is the main reason I play SWAT and Snipers. Not because I get owned all the time by unfair power weapon placement, but because I don't like getting cheap kills. I have to whole-heartedly agree with the OP on this one.

The Director replied to Lolmenade's topic in Halo CE + Anniversary
Except that it blatantly didn't look anywhere close to a natural formation... I remember the first time I heard her say that I said (out loud, mind you), "Oh you don't say!" -

The Aztecs built their capital city on a lake. That city was known as Tenochtitlan. They had temples to worship their Gods, and practiced human sacrifice. They would go to war, capture their enemies, and cut their hearts out on an alter in their temples. My map takes all of this into account. It is built on a lake and in the center of it is a pyramid built in the manner that they did (little different) featuring a temple on the top. This map is compatible with all forms of slayer, king of the hill, oddball, stockpile, headhunter, and capture the flag. It supports BTB as well as FFA. It is both functional and aesthetic. At the top of the pyramid, there is a temple with an alter and an energy sword inside it. The alter features an instant kill zone, to symbolize the human sacrifice. To download this map, click the link below. I hope you and your friends enjoy it. http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/FileDetails.aspx?fid=26538373&player=AAN2

The Director replied to GODSABOMINATION's topic in Halo 4
Nice theory, but what about the enemies? What would master chief be fighting? I'm hoping that the third forerunner book will shed some light on a few of the things that have yet to add up. Also, did you know that Halo Glasslands may actually be a sequel to Halo 4? Like Halo Fall of Reach was a sequel to Halo CE? That's the word around the water cooler at any rate. Good job digging this info up, keep at it. -
Sleep Overs and Epic Halo:Reach Noobtage
The Director replied to Geno_Pwns_Noobs's topic in Halo Reach
I once asked Tsquared for some advice on how to make a montage. I will now share his advice with you. 1. Never show you dying. 2. A kill with a common weapon is common, no matter how cool the kill was. 3. A montage should never run longer than it's background music unless it's a dualtage. 4. If you think it's cool, it probably isn't. Get a second opinion from someone before you put it in the video. I think it looks good, but "statstic" is actually spelled statistic.
