I agree that it should tell the difference between a lagout and a quit, but it's not that long of a ban. As I said, take a snack/bathroom/smoke break and start playing again.

Ok here is an update to include the Halo CEA achievements. You get the ones for the main story line by completing the main story line. It's quicker to do this on legendary, which will net you 13 achievements. The rest are as follows. 1. Tsantsa, complete any level with three skulls activated. I suggest the first one, as it's the fastest and easiest. 2. What have we here, Heavy Reading, and Dear Diary can all be obtained by finding all of the terminals. Go to youtube for a walkthrough. 3. Looks like the Oddball, Skulls Taken, and Head Hunter can all be obtained by finding all of the skulls. Go to youtube for a walkthrough. 4. Standard Operating Brocedure, Brovershield, and Brohammer can be obtained by playing cooperative on Legendary and completing a mission. 5. He's unstoppable, Complete any level on heroic without taking Health damage. This means don't let your shields drop. Cover is your friend. 6. Overshields are for sissies, Complete The Pillar Of Autumn on Legendary without picking up an overshield. 7. Walk it off, Complete The Pillar of Autumn on Legendary without picking up a Health kit. 8. No Fly Zone, Destroy three banshees on the mission Halo 9. How Pedestrian, Complete Halo without setting foot in a vehicle. 10. Close Quarters Combat, Complete Truth and Reconciliation with at least four rounds left in your sniper rifle. Do not drop the sniper. 11. I'll be taking that, Steal a banshee on Assault on the Control Room. There will be a red elite headed towards it. Kill him quick and take it. 12. This One's for Jenkins, Kill 50 flood combat forms in The Library on Heroic or harder. 13. That Just Happened, Complete The Library on Heroic or harder without dying. 14. Speed Reader, Complete The Library on Legendary in less than 30 minutes. Go to youtube to look for a speed run video for this one. 15. Look Out For The Little Guys, Complete Two Betrayals on Heroic or harder without killing any grunts. 16. Leave it where it lay, Complete Two Betrayals on Legendary without picking up another weapon. 17. Popcorn.gif, kill 100 flood infection forms (poppers) on Keyes on Heroic or harder. 18. All According to plan, kill all the enemies at the first encounter on Truth and Reconciliation without being detected on Normal or above. 19. Beachhead, Storm the beach on Silent Cartographer with no marine casualties on Heroic or harder. It's best to storm the enemy here. 20. Grenadier, Escape the map room on Silent Cartographer without firing a shot on Heroic or harder. As the title suggests, grenades are your friend here. 21. Wraith Hunter, Destroy four wraiths on Assault on the Control Room with the scorpion tank in single player. 22. Breaking Quarantine, Escape the forerunner facility on 343 Guilty Spark in under 21 minutes. Easy to do if you just run for it and don't worry about killing everything. 23. Tying up Loose Ends, Kill every elite on Keyes on Heroic or harder. 24. This Side Up, Complete The Maw without falling out of your warthog at the end. 25. Never Tell Me The Odds, Finish The Maw with over a minute left on the countdown timer. If you need to, look for a speedrun on youtube. Oh and Absolute Dog, I did the quote so you can read it all in one spot instead of having to scroll up.

LMAO Before that last plasma grenade was thrown, I was just thinking to myself "The Halo 3 Spartans looked a LOT more bad*** than Reach's do" And then that thought was ruined xD

I do like how it is more like a portable over-shield than a portable invincibility machine. I never liked how it could shed off a plasma grenade, cause when you get stuck, you should stay that way. It's difficult to actually stick someone if they know what they are doing, and armor lock sort of made things more newb friendly. Plus, having to wait just outside melee range for someone to finally exit AL is kind of tedious. It's not a HUGE problem, but it IS annoying, and that's all it is. There is no strategy involved in that. So I'm glad people can be shot out of it now.

Uncaged will not get a killzone above there because it was intended. That's why they put the glass sail there, so people could jump up there. The only playlist that this becomes a problem in is Living Dead, in which case ALL maps have stuff like this. Back to the OT. I like the ZB and the Armor Lock nerf. I've used AL to get a couple of kills, and even I thought it was ridiculously overpowered. What I WANT to see is ZB in SWAT. I like being beat by people who I know are better than me, but I hate being beat by people who spam like crazy and have a bit of luck on their side. I've played the TU playlist, but haven't played the playlists that it affect yet. I didn't do so well in the TU playlist though, but I don't mind. A game is a game is a game.

There are ways to bypass the cap (changing your timezone in the console settings) and earn commendations again. If you are doing Waypoint custom challenges, you should stop if you are trying for commendations. Otherwise, just use the time between resets to take a nap, chill with friends, and whatnot.

I've been looking for the books that I don't have for quite a while (mainly in my library and in my friend's collections of books) but as of yet have been unlucky. I do not have the funds to go buy them at a bookstore, or off e-bay, so my options seem quite limited. Does anyone know a way that I can read the books for free, or something like that? I don't have a kindle, just a PC laptop with an internet connection. The books I already have are: 1. The Flood 2. First Strike 3. Ghosts of Onyx 4. Halo Evolutions 1&2 I've read more than that though, but can't remember the titles, and I don't have any other way to reference them. I'm hoping someone knows a site that someone copy pasted the books or something. I don't really have a way to decompress files, btw, just so you know. Any help here?

IMO, this map is like someone took blood gulch and said, "Let's make it bigger." The map essentially IS blood gulch, but longer. Which means it takes forever to get to red base from blue base on foot. Also, with outside spawns (instead of occasionally spawning inside, like blood gulch) means that once the enemy team moves forward enough, it's almost impossible to avoid being spawn trapped. I have nothing against Hemorrhage for BTB, but even BOARDWALK is better for snipers IMO.

Really dude? REALLY? The PC wasn't made for games, games were made for it. You are just as bad as the OP with that statement, assuming you are the authority on something and belittling a group of people with a certain preference. And no, Halo is not broken. It has about 400-500k people on it per day, with 100k average at any given time. I loved Halo 3 multiplayer, even though I sucked at it. I loved Halo 2 multiplayer, even though I was good at it. And I loved Halo CE multiplayer too. Reach has many different ways to play, even with some minor issues in it's multiplayer that people blow WAY out of proportion. If you are bad at one playlist, there are others that you can play that you might be good at with some practice. And if you want a challenge, there are playlists for that too. Halo isn't Burger King. You don't get to have it your way. It's THEIR game. THEY are making it. THEY are the ones spending hours of the time that they could be using with their families or friends making YOU a game that you can play when you are bored. So far, Halo has pioneered the FPS genre. It's the first FPS game for a console that wasn't "clunky", and paved the way for the FPS games that you play today. In every single Halo game, people poured their hearts and souls into their making. For you, OP, to call them stupid is not only insulting, but ignorant. I see WAY too many complaints about Halo Reach in every forum I go to. From the Armor Lock that people asked for during Halo 3, to the Title Update and Zero Bloom that people have been begging for since it's release. Be happy that you have a new Halo, and quit complaining about getting what you wished for.

I don't really use armor lock, so I'm relieved to see it nerfed. It gets REALLY annoying when an entire team starts using it, and it doesn't help them.

If that were the case then you should have just put the controller down and taken a snack/ bathroom break and waited the time for the game to end. Quitters never win, no matter what the excuse. MM quit bans only last for a few minutes. If your friend quits because he wants to do something else, then there is no problem because you won't be playing Reach, you will be doing something else while you and your friend are banned. I've been playing for a while, and have only quit to join a new game. I've come across every scenario you could possibly think of to use as an excuse for quitting, and still finished the game. If you did the same, you wouldn't be in the position you are right now. Don't get mad at the quit-ban system, it doesn't know that you are mad at it and wouldn't care even if it did. If it is bothering you, then change your behavior so that it is no longer a problem for you.

It would be pretty amazing to be able to play as more than just a spartan in Firefight matchmaking. I'd take it one step further and say that you could be covenant fighting waves of marines and flood, or flood fighting waves of covenant and marines too. If you were covenant, you would be an elite, if you were flood, you would be a combat form. They could make it more balanced by using load-outs and whatnot. Either way it would be pretty fun imo.
