Do you just not read what I post or what? Power being pointless does not make power nonexistent. To be pointless something must exist in the first place, otherwise it cannot be deemed pointless. That's up to you. It is definitely a possibility, but it takes effort. What we do when we select a MoM is we pick members and then debate what they have done that month and whether or not they deserve the title. We take into account how long the member has been a part of the forum as well, which is why sometimes even though there are newer members who've done a bit more an older member will still get MoM. Activity also goes a long way towards being selected as well. In short, all you have to do to become MoM is contribute to the forum while maintaining your activity more so than other possible candidates. Just because that's "all" you have to do doesn't mean that it's easy though. Basically every moment that I'm on the forum becomes time being put into being a C-Mod. Some days it's an all day thing, others it's popping on every couple of hours. The community goes through waves of being busy and then having a lack of activity. We're generally busy around the time of a release, and things tend to get a bit lax when we are between releases. English being easier to write than speak isn't a universal thing, but the reason a lot of people feel that way is because there is less social pressure while writing than there is in speaking. Generally, when you are writing something you have the chance to take your time and double check what you are writing, but when you are speaking you don't get that chance. That's one of the reasons people feel like it's easier to write than it is to speak, and that feeling doesn't only apply to English.

Additionally, the terminals are not required to continue the game. They are just extras, so you can ignore them entirely if all you're wanting to do is progress in the game. If you're wanting to get the achievements for the terminals, all you have to do is find them and wait for the Halo Channel to load up and watch the video. Once the video's done, you can then press your X-Box Button and go back to the game. Also, props on being 70 and still playing Halo. There are actually quite a few, I used to have a thread series called The Director's Lesser Known Games. Out of those, I think my favorite has to be Solar 2. Yes, but unlike some of the other Templars I don't believe in personal gain via power. I believe that if I gain, then everyone else should as well.

Uh... huh... Most of the companies against SOPA and PIPA were actually internet companies. Overall, probably worth a few hundred millions in campaign contributions. The largest companies against SOPA would be Microsoft, Facebook, and Google. Most of the companies for SOPA and PIPA were multi-billion dollar companies such as Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Viacom, and even the American Bankers Association (considered the largest financial trade group in the United States). These companies were pulling out all the stops, which is why at first the bill had nearly unanimous approval from the politicians. The turning point in the voting didn't come until widespread public disapproval began happening. This extremely weakened the SOPA Lobbyist's position and resulted in the bill being shelved. To claim that protesting did nothing to cause this is like saying that a bullet hitting someone in the head and their death is purely coincidental. As far as the Vietnam War, I have two relatives who served in Vietnam. One of which has passed, and the other I'm quite close to. He has PTSD, but even he believes the protests were what directly caused the end of the Vietnam war. But no, I'm sure you're right and that the massive protests were purely coincidental to Nixon announcing that he was going to begin pulling troops out of Vietnam in 1969. The announcement itself was just an appeasement, but when he ordered an attack against Cambodian commies in '70, more protests popped up (and four people were killed by the national guard) and he immediately announced that he would pull troops out of Cambodia within two months.

The maps are actually in the playlists, but you need a lobby full of people that have the DLC to even see the option to select them. Which is as rare as an albino rhino in Minnesota.

The fact of the matter is we are left with two choices and must choose what would be the lesser of two evils. On one hand we allow major ISP's to continue in the way that they have, bullying site owners into paying them extra money for 'premium service' (which basically just guarantees that access to their site will not be throttled [see Verizon vs Netflix]) and bullying their customers (sometimes even literally [see Comcast customer service]) into paying more for less access. Before this issue arose in the public eye, Comcast and Time Warner Cable were actually considering adding restrictions to certain popular websites into their 'tiered' services. In other words, if you got the basic internet package it would allow you throttled access to sites like Tumblr or Facebook while if you got the full internet package you get unrestricted access to these sites. They already use internet service speeds to con people into buying cable that they probably won't watch and telephone services that aren't needed. Considering ISPs track record when listening to their customer base (see Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Centurylink, and Verizon customer service) it would be highly unlikely that anything could be done to convince these companies to make any sort of change. It's quite sad when the biggest victory against bad ISP customer service is getting a customer service agent who changes a customer's billing name to something obscene fired (which probably was because they wanted to avoid losing money in a lawsuit). Most of these companies have little to nothing in the way of competition so they do not feel compelled to make any sort of changes to their current ways. On the other hand, we give the government the power of regulating the internet. At first, this sounds like the most horrible thing we can do, especially given their insistence over bills like SOPA and ACTA. Then the internet's previous victories over the government in the way that they approach the internet comes to mind. The fact of the matter is, our government (and the publicly elected officials that 'run' it) is far more willing to bend to our will than an ISP would be. If they resisted too much, then the fact that they did so would come out and they run the risk of losing their next election and thereby their job. The fact that the majority of the senate and congress were very much against any sort of Net Neutrality (some even calling it communistic) before they started receiving phone calls and emails from their voters speaks to this. The fact that senate and congress were overwhelmingly supportive of SOPA, PIPA, and ACTA before they started receiving phone calls and emails from their voters more than speaks to this, it confirms it. If they government (specifically the FCC) begins to abuse the power that we give it it would not be long before we took notice and action. Not to mention that if we play our cards right, we can introduce legislation that we want and force it to pass by bugging congressmen and senators and threatening their jobs. Net Neutrality is not the ultimate victory that some make it out to be, true. It is however an important part in that victory. The 'battles' thus far have been customers versus companies, which in this particular case is close to being completely impossible to win. What has been done with net neutrality is that we've substituted an opponent that we cannot beat for a stronger opponent with a weakness that we can exploit. We've also drastically changed the battleground to our advantage.

I would prefer a government that we can bully into submission to control the internet than corporations that we cannot.

Profit is a financial gain, especially the difference between the amount earned and the amount spent in buying, operating, or producing something. Wealth is having an abundance of material possessions. Profit leads to wealth, but one can have wealth without having ever made a profit off of something (i.e. inheritance)

Nope, I was able to connect to it just fine. Try this: 1. Restart both your modem and computer. 2. Check if you have accidentally blocked that website using any software like parental control software or maybe through your system firewall or any third party software. 3. Clear your browser cookies/cache and check the website again. If that stuff doesn't work contact your ISP and ask for help.

Do you have a bad memory or something? In Halo CE there were issues they had with map borders (i.e. the invisiwall) that players wouldn't normally notice unless they went looking for them. Remember the warthog swimming? Never fixed nor admitted to. And I'm a straight up Halo 2 fan but even Bungie admitted failure on that. Seriously, there are entire levels of H2 SPC that you don't even have to fire a shot on if you know how to get out of the map. Which isn't difficult with grenade bouncing and jump crouching. Then there was the buggy AI behavior (sometimes they can't hit crap and other times it's like they're aimbotting, all on the same difficulty setting) and the multiplayer glitches (seriously, look up why super bouncing is possible and why the BXR is possible, it's so noobish it's ridiculous). Halo 2 is and always will be my favorite Halo game, but the reason for it is because of the massive amount of failure on the dev's part. I love taking advantage of glitches, and Halo 2 had so many that it was difficult to keep track of them all. In Halo 3, Bungie corrected their mistakes (for the most part) from Halo 2 in the campaign but still left some easily exploitable glitches, especially in multiplayer. Guess you never heard of HLG? Halo 3 was the game that made HLG what it is today. Nearly every multiplayer map in H3 has a way to get off the map that allows you to get one kill and then camp the rest of the game. They patched like one. Then there's the overhyped (imo) ranking system that every wishes was stamped on every single Halo game ever. Let me tell you something, the people that REALLY want that ranking system back are the people like me who gamed the crap out of it. I had two accounts get banned for deranking and boosting (which is the first time I've ever even heard of people getting banned for a multiplayer exploit by the way) but managed to get about two years worth of gold cards and 20k MSP out of it. Bungie not only never admitted fault for it, but never corrected the mistake even though it wouldn't have been THAT difficult. There were literally thousands of "fake 50's" that cheated to get where they were in H3. Then their 'masterpiece' Halo game, Halo Reach. DOZENS of mistakes in that game, most of which were just plain comical. 343i's first assignment after Bungie left the picture was to try to fix Bungie's screw ups. Seriously, google Halo Reach glitches and you'll find a couple of lists about a couple dozen of items long, including multiplayer, forge, firefight, and campaign glitches. Those are pre-343i glitches, by the by. Not to mention their coup de grâce canon breach that they then not only refused to acknowledge/fix, but actually completely shattered everyone's notions about the Halo Lore with "Games are primary canon and books are secondary canon." You should have SEEN the hate on B-Net after they said that crap. Bungie was FAR from perfect, and they have a very long way to go to even come close to world domination, but that doesn't make them bad. The same holds true for 343i too. Literally the only way to perfect something is to make a bunch of mistakes and learn from them. Anyways, if you TRULY want to see any progress towards having your opinion considered by 343i, I would clean up your spelling a tad and make a post over at Halowaypoint.com which is the official Halo website. Who knows, they may even take you seriously. Hope you get your memory fixed.
