  1. Do you have a bad memory or something? In Halo CE there were issues they had with map borders (i.e. the invisiwall) that players wouldn't normally notice unless they went looking for them. Remember the warthog swimming? Never fixed nor admitted to. And I'm a straight up Halo 2 fan but even Bungie admitted failure on that. Seriously, there are entire levels of H2 SPC that you don't even have to fire a shot on if you know how to get out of the map. Which isn't difficult with grenade bouncing and jump crouching. Then there was the buggy AI behavior (sometimes they can't hit crap and other times it's like they're aimbotting, all on the same difficulty setting) and the multiplayer glitches (seriously, look up why super bouncing is possible and why the BXR is possible, it's so noobish it's ridiculous). Halo 2 is and always will be my favorite Halo game, but the reason for it is because of the massive amount of failure on the dev's part. I love taking advantage of glitches, and Halo 2 had so many that it was difficult to keep track of them all. In Halo 3, Bungie corrected their mistakes (for the most part) from Halo 2 in the campaign but still left some easily exploitable glitches, especially in multiplayer. Guess you never heard of HLG? Halo 3 was the game that made HLG what it is today. Nearly every multiplayer map in H3 has a way to get off the map that allows you to get one kill and then camp the rest of the game. They patched like one. Then there's the overhyped (imo) ranking system that every wishes was stamped on every single Halo game ever. Let me tell you something, the people that REALLY want that ranking system back are the people like me who gamed the crap out of it. I had two accounts get banned for deranking and boosting (which is the first time I've ever even heard of people getting banned for a multiplayer exploit by the way) but managed to get about two years worth of gold cards and 20k MSP out of it. Bungie not only never admitted fault for it, but never corrected the mistake even though it wouldn't have been THAT difficult. There were literally thousands of "fake 50's" that cheated to get where they were in H3. Then their 'masterpiece' Halo game, Halo Reach. DOZENS of mistakes in that game, most of which were just plain comical. 343i's first assignment after Bungie left the picture was to try to fix Bungie's screw ups. Seriously, google Halo Reach glitches and you'll find a couple of lists about a couple dozen of items long, including multiplayer, forge, firefight, and campaign glitches. Those are pre-343i glitches, by the by. Not to mention their coup de grâce canon breach that they then not only refused to acknowledge/fix, but actually completely shattered everyone's notions about the Halo Lore with "Games are primary canon and books are secondary canon." You should have SEEN the hate on B-Net after they said that crap. Bungie was FAR from perfect, and they have a very long way to go to even come close to world domination, but that doesn't make them bad. The same holds true for 343i too. Literally the only way to perfect something is to make a bunch of mistakes and learn from them. Anyways, if you TRULY want to see any progress towards having your opinion considered by 343i, I would clean up your spelling a tad and make a post over at Halowaypoint.com which is the official Halo website. Who knows, they may even take you seriously. Hope you get your memory fixed.
  2. The 'citizen' appears to be a marine with a boonie cover on. I say this because the pants the person is wearing appear to be digital print desert camo and the shirt appears to be olive drab green. It could also simply be a person wandering into the shot.
  3. It really does though. The Spartan II program cost a lot of money because no one had actually done it successfully before. The chemicals used to enhance the abilities of the chosen candidates were fairly new and very experimental. As a result more than half the candidates 'washed out' due to side effects from the chemicals. However, the program was still considered a success, so they did further experiments and found that they could achieve a similar effect over a broader range of candidates and thus the Spartan III program was born. The time and money that went into both of these projects was extraordinary. Then humanity began experimenting with forerunner and covenant technology and made quite a few massive leaps in science due to this. Not to mention what had already been learned from both the Spartan II and III programs. It's not only feasible that the leap in technology would assist them in their endeavors to create super soldiers, but it would be kind of silly if it hadn't, especially with the advanced technology they already had available. Remember, during each and every spartan program data was being gathered and experiments were being conducted in the hopes that one day the genetic modification they were doing would be cheaper and easier to use on a broader range of people. As far as the cost of the Spartan IV project, nobody said it was cheap. The drugs would, by that time, be easier to make but they are being used on a lot more people than they were previously. The armor would also be cheaper to make due to mass production as well.
  4. Yes. It's an irrational number and thereby cannot be precisely defined as the ratio of any two whole numbers. Thus, its decimal expansion has no pattern and is infinite. I was chosen by the upper staff members and was asked. Then I said yes.
  5. I don't understand the reference, but some things that can be mistaken for rice are: 1. Tapeworm larva 2. Cotesia congregatus cocoons 3. Ant cocoons 4. Certain types of pasta
  6. No, but The Director can ban you from everything. Smeeze.
  7. Not to nitpick, but I generally greet people with 'Ahoy oy' rather than hello.
  8. Seconded. Two things you should never give Caboose, power or weapons.
  9. Halo 2 In the long run I think that going with the Empire would be best. The Stormcloaks may very well be able to maintain their hold on Skyrim, but it is unlikely that they would be able to maintain their defenses while simultaneously striking back at the Thalmor. Skyrim is but one of many nations in Tamriel. The Empire has to lick it's wounds, but will eventually regain it's footing and when a new administration arrives that is less tolerant to the Thalmor arrives they will be in a much better position to fight against the Thalmor than the Stormcloaks would. Even with the Thalmor restrictions, the Empire has far more troops and holdings than the Stormcloaks would be able to ever achieve. Meaning they would be the best choice to rid Tamriel of the Thalmor.
  10. Essentially to motivate members to go out of their way to contribute to the community and to reward those who do. It was thought up by Spectral Jester In August of 2011. Link.
  11. Fine, just a normal poem about each of the moderators including Twam and RSR
  12. RSR, Twam, and GSD. Well, when I first joined the forum my username was the same as my gamertag. Then I wanted to customize my profile more to my liking but most of the RvB usernames were already taken. I wanted to have an RvB username because I am a big fan of the series and wanted to show my support. So I decided to go with a name that isn't as common as most (like Church or York) but still has a vital role in the story. I first chose The Chairman, but that character had no pictures and was not featured in anything but voice during RvB. So I chose The Director, and that has been my username (except when unwillingly changed for comedic effect) since.
  13. There are two types of whitening toothpaste. One that uses a chemical (an acidic one specifically) and one that uses abrasion (i.e. little hard chunks in the toothpaste). The one that uses the chemical can cause a negative effect on the structural integrity of the disc, and the one that uses abrasion can cause even more scratches to happen.
  14. I dare you to write one haiku for each individual moderator (including Twam and RSR) and post them in Offbeat.
  15. If you had to marry one male forum member, kill one female forum member, and go to jail with one random forum member, who would they be?
  16. Truth or dare. What is your favorite vegetable to get beaten with?
  17. No, because it would be completely pointless and all it would do is encourage people to shout-spam to increase their shout count, which is something that can get people banned. I do not wear a toupee. #allnatural I have play ME3, I played a couple rounds of the MP, and I played as a krogan in the mp. Some people find it fun, and that's good for them, but I find it to be lacking in storyline and 'new' gameplay. Lot of grinding. The hair color they would have if they had hair. In some states, they will put 'none' or whatever hair color you want them to put. I tend to look up new and interesting things as well as watch shows like Conan O'Brien and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. And play video games. And go out with my girlfriend. And answer questions on this topic. The speed of the Earth's rotation from the equator is approximately 1037.5417 miles per hour. There are 3600 seconds in an hour, so that would translate to approximately. .29 miles per second. The earth orbits the sun at an average of 67,000 mph. There are 3600 seconds in an hour, so that would be 18.61 miles per second.
  18. No, there isn't a leaderboard with that information on it. It only shows the current top shouter and your individual shout count. RSR might know though, but it would take him a bit to find the information.
  19. Probably because he either tried it on a disc that was beyond repair, or he heard a rumor that it doesn't work. It does, however, work. I have done it myself on Halo: Reach and Halo 2. Neither disc would play, and I had tried cleaning them to no avail. Then I used the toothpaste trick and it worked. It fills in some of the scratches (in much the same way a buffer does) so if the disc isn't beyond repair, it will make the disc readable again.
  20. I do believe that if I cannot count after smeezing to lock in the smeeze, then you cannot count after counter-smeezing. Also Smeeze
  21. Yes, I've played all three games multiple times. Azaxx actually passed him up quite a long time ago, but a lot of shouts. However, while Absolute Dog was a moderator he accidentally deleted all of Azaxx's shouts, which is why you see Donut as the top shouter. So technically, Azaxx is still the top shouter. Oh I already got the smiley I wanted.
