  1. I can't believe it's come to this, but recent events have made it clear we need to be more specific about them as apparently members don't have common sense. Harassment of members, be it sexual, abusive, or simply unwanted, will be dealt with at moderator discretion up to and including a permanent ban from the forums. Examples of harassment include but are not limited to: A. Sending a member private messages of a lewd nature. B. Sending a member a large quantity of private messages. C. Consistently giving a member attention that is unwanted. This is not limited to private messaging, but also forum posts, status updates/comments, and pretty much everywhere else on the site. It's also not gender specific. Guy harasses girl, guy gets in trouble. Girl harasses guy, girl gets in trouble. Guy1 harasses guy2, guy1 gets in trouble. Girl1 harasses girl2, girl1 gets in trouble. And so on and so forth. This rule used to be considered a common sense rule, however with recent events we thought we should make it clear to all members that harassment is unacceptable. So here's how this is going to work from now on. If you are being harassed, please report the harassment using the site's report system or by PMing a community or site moderator. If you do not report the member that is harassing you, no action may be taken against that member. This means that if we suspect that the member is harassing you, we will not interfere unless you tell us they are. This also means that you are not to take 'vigilante justice' (i.e. public or private shaming, flaming, asking others to flame in your stead, attempting to provoke a conforntation, etc.) against the member harassing you. If you are harassing members, you will be given disciplinary action ranging from a non-pointed warning to a full and permanent ban from the site. Harassment is taken very seriously, so you might not be given a warning at all except to explain to you why you are banned.
  2. This is simply to save other rule updates that are no longer actually 'Updates'. Links to the threads are below, with their titles and dates posted. Remember, ignorance of the rules does not save you from the consequences of breaking them. A rule update being listed here and no longer pinned does not mean it's no longer in effect. 3. 1. Topic Revival = Topic Locked 2. That's not H5 PC
  4. Wabajack is more fun. Not to mention that the Ebony Blade, while being strong, is not nearly as strong as the weapons I have crafted. Daedric Axes with 4789 damage for the win. No thanks. It looks like a pretty decent game so far, and it's got a lot of potential. I can't wait to see what else they do with it.
  5. I like this idea, except more like 10-15 hours for the reset and increased amount of time 'banned' for every quit after the third. So something like this. Quit 1: No penalty Quit 2: Warning Quit 3: Loss of access to matchmaking for 10 minutes Quit 4: Loss of access to matchmaking for 20 minutes Quit 5: Loss of access to matchmaking for 30 minutes Quit 6: Loss of access to matchmaking for 1 hour.
  6. Difficult question. I'm not a fan of sunny days due to my more than fair complexion, however rain can suck. I'd still choose rain though, because there's the chance that it could be a warm rain.
  7. I've played Stormcloak once, every other time was Empire. FOR THE EMPIRE!
  8. If you don't make a status about who will do things, then who will?

    1. Maestro

      Maestro

      Melody

What are you wearing 'Dave' from state farm!?

  9. Bnus was close, but as usual was still off. There is no actual rule against either *** or being a Furry, however those that enjoy *** have gotten it all but barred from the forum. See, we allowed people to be 'bronies', but then a few things we didn't like began happening. 1. A lot of members changed their signatures and pictures to support ***, however some members were putting up anthro pictures which nearly violated rule 3 G 2. A lot of members then began using sexual innuendo related to *** (i.e. 'clopping') making non-*** users uncomfortable as well as breaking the rule against discussions of sex. 3. The *** users began to act as part of a clique, shunning those that didn't support ***. A combination of these three things is what got *** pretty much banned from the forum. Being a brony isn't even inherently sexual, but it kept ending up that way. Being a furry, on the other hand, may not necessarily be sexual but is more often than not. So no, we won't ban you for being a furry or anything like that. However, if you attempt to roleplay in a sexual nature, or do any of the three things listed above, then it's likely to result in a ban.
  10. This game is over, but people keep posting on the thread, so thread locked.
  11. This is a community forum, and is run by the community for the community. As such, no one here (myself included) works for 343i. So no, I don't mind if you hack the game and get everything, but I can't guarantee that 343i/Microsoft won't. Depends on my playthrough. Usually Gray-Mane though, due to the Battle-Born working for the damn elves.
  12. Chatbox, talkbox, typebox, or that annoying little thing that members love to bother each other in.
  13. I'd go with the 50% of 100 million because then I'd be able to start a damn decent business. With 1 million I could buy a nice house and a Jimmy Johns. Would you rather live without your left limbs, or your right limbs?
  14. Underground city. Seriously, all it takes is sleepwalking one time... *shudders* Would you rather be a character in a FPS or an MMORPG?
  15. You can show who you're talking to by clicking the quote button at the bottom right of the person's post. If there are multiple people, then you can click multiquote. Anyways, as far as the OP goes, they are going to be focusing on the Beta because they only have a limited amount of time to gather data and use that data effectively. Then they can focus on adding the ranks to the other playlists.
  16. So basically your complaint is that they don't have the cinematic camera in every interaction and they don't pretend to have more options than are actually there? Honestly I prefer the way it is in Dragon Age Inquisition because it feels more immersive to me. Being able to look around while talking to someone is something you can do in real life, so why not be able to do it in a video game as well? As far as your complaint against a voiced main character, in my (and quite a few other's) opinion the 'strong and silent' type of main character has been done to death. Pretty sure it makes up over 75% of RPG's that are out there. I also fail to see how SUBTRACTING a voice can ADD to the 'depth of dialogue'. Kind of opposing thoughts there. What you are saying is that by having scripted lines (which the non-voiced characters also had) with emotions, words, and actions it somehow detracts from the depth of the conversation. You might as well get mad because someone added 1 and 3 together and came up with four when you think they should have come up with 2. The NPC's still have the same reactions to what you choose to say and still have as much depth as they did in Origins, but now instead of it being a one sided conversation your character actually participates in it.
  17. Yes it is multiplayer, online. I have no idea what the requirements are but I can tell you what kind of system I play it on. I play it on a laptop which is a: HP G71 Notebook PC Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz 2.20GHz 4.00 GB of Installed Memory RAM 64 Bit Operating System Wi-Fi card Using this kind of internet: ISP Centurylink Speed 54 ping, 14.21 mbps download, 15.60 mbps upload You SHOULD have a better system than that, and if you do you can play it.
  18. You must have been pressing the skip button then because only the mundane side quests don't allow additional dialogue. There are those in Dragon Age Origins as well. Also, you seem to be confusing what side quests are. Side quests are nonmandatory quests that you can do for extra experience points, money, or gear. The ones you have to do for the storyline are main quests or 'subquests'. At the beginning of the game these are usually 'fetch quests', quests that require you to go find something/someone and bring something/someone back somewhere. In Dragon Age games side quests tend to start out dull/easy (i.e. find me some trap components, kill some bears, find the kid's mom's body, etc all from DA: Origins) and then get more complex and allow you to question the person giving you the quest to find out more information. A good example of this in Dragon Age: Inquisition is the Lord Woolsley quest which allows you to question the guy giving you the quest because he sounds crazy. Most of the quests given by NPC's allow you to ask the NPC a couple of questions to get more background about the nature of the quest. The only ones I can think of that don't are the ones at the beginning of the game which primarily serve as a tutorial. As far as why you didn't see any, well I simply don't know. I'm the type of RPG player that looks in every nook and cranny, so it's possible I got side quests that you didn't get. Which is the nature of this type of game, as well.
  19. An introduction post made two days ago with 21 replies made by a male member? That doesn't happen very... ever. Anyways, welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy your time here as much as everybody else (except those who are banned [ha]) does.
  20. The Director's Lesser Known Games Volume 8 Space Station 13 Alright, so it has been a long time since I've done one of these so I'm just going to make a whole new template for it. LET'S DO THIS! Rating: 7.5/10 Type of Game: Multiplayer Role Play Game Platform: PC Pros: This game is really really good once you learn the intricacies of play. There are dozens of places you can fit to help or hurt your crew members and the rules are different per server. Once you learn to play the game, you can role play to your heart's content. Most servers allow you to role play as much as is believable, and you don't have to worry about griefers on servers that don't allow it. I personally have been playing a server called Apocalypse Station/Gaming or something. The game also has one or more chosen 'aggressive' players which makes things exciting. It's sort of like a second life simulation, but without all the nasty bits. Like 'girls' asking you for your skype and such... Anywho Cons: The game has a very EXTREME learning curve. There are only about two jobs that don't require you to learn to 'play the part', and even those could lead to an awkward situation. Like blowing up the station on accident because you chose to be an engineer. The controls are also fairly difficult to master. Most of the players on the server take roleplay VERY seriously. This can be a detriment to your game experience if you're new to roleplaying, because when things are 'heavy' if you go out of character they will call you on it. Usually pretty harshly. All in all though, this is a really good game that's hosted on a program called 'BYOND'. How to get the game: 1. Go here: http://www.byond.com/games/exadv1/spacestation13 2. Register with BYOND and download the program (you do not need to pay for anything, so don't unless you want to) 3. Open the program and find 'Space Station 13' in the games list on the left. 4. Pick a server (I play on a server that is Apocalypse Station 13) 5. Read the wiki like crazy to learn how to play. Myself, Ledgend1221, AIGamerGirl, and BATMAN play this game together. It's pretty cool.
