Because you are growing up. One day, Christmas will be only about buying people presents for you. Then you'll have kids and it will become stressful, oh so stressful. To Bacon. Also, an interesting little tid-bit, the original verse "To be, or not to be, that is the question. Whether 'tis Nobler in the mind to suffer the Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortune, or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles, and by opposing end them: to die, to sleep no more; and by a sleep, to say we end the Heart-ache, and the thousand Natural shocks that Flesh is heir to?" is questioning whether it is truly wrong to commit suicide. Kind of odd that "To be, or not to be" became so famous when you think about it. I prefer honey ham. I'm not a huge fan of sausage. Yes, but it's not my favorite.

I do not give out personal information. If win then: (tslv+otsl)*(wp-tmsl)=SP SL+SP = CSL If loss then: (tslv+otsl)*(wp-tmsl)=-SP SL+-SP = CSL That means: SP = Skill Points, SL = Skill Level, CSL = Current Skill Level, wp = Win Percentage, osl = Opponent's truskill Level, tslv=truskill level, tmsl = team mate skill level. In Halo 3, your truskill level is based off of a 0.00 to 1.00 score that is determined from how good you are in the game. It's very similar to Halo Reach's BPR score, except with a decimal. That number is then added to your opponents truskill level (also 0.00 to 1.00). Then your win percentage is turned into an average (similar to k/d ratio) to eliminate "accidental wins". This number is then subtracted from your team mate's truskill level. The lower your team mate's truskill level, the higher the resulting number will be. This is why deranker boosting is effective. Anyways, you multiply the two numbers together to get the amount of Skill Points you earn from that match. As you can guess, that number is usually a decimal. If you lose, then the number becomes a negative. So here is how it would work. If your tsl is .5 and your opponent's is .4 and your teammates is .6 and your win percentage is 70% and your SL is 25 then: (.5+.4)*(.7-.6) = If win: 0.01 if loss: -0.01 0.01+25=25.01 -0.01+25=24.99 The number is not rounded up (the decimal numbers do not appear), so you would see a drop from 25 to 24 by losing that match. The max is 50, the min is 1 (as you already know). This is information that I have gleaned by the way that the ranking system in the MLG playlist seems to work. Bungie has not released the actual mathematical algorithm for their ranking systems, so we may never know if this is actually the algorithm or not.

0%... Because I need internet to be able to access this post... And therefor the questions... There are actually several. If someone has told you that there is only one, then they are mistaken. There are separate algorithms for nearly every gametype in Halo 3. Team Swat, Team Slayer, Lone Wolf, etc. There are also two separate types of rank as well, one has a very simple algorithm (1 win = 1 exp) and the other varies as stated previously. The algorithms for the second ranking system (i.e. 1-50) range from complex to rather simple. "It's one of life's great mysteries, isn't it? Why are we here? I mean, are we the product of some... cosmic coincidence? Or is there really a God, watching everything, you know, with a plan for us and stuff. I don't know man, but it keeps me up at night." - Grif (or Griff according to Caboose) Or something like that. lol

Considering that: 1. Most of the time in the first trilogy they were separated for various reasons. 2. Most other Spartans do not (and have not had in the past) AI counter-parts. 3. The cost of a Smart AI outweighs that of a fleet of normal ships. 4. The possible security risks of having a spartan in the field with an AI in their suit (i.e. captured AI). 5. The reason that John was paired with Cortana (going by in-game canon) was to prevent her capture by the covenant boarding parties aboard the Pillar of Autumn, and to disarm the bomb in Halo 2, and he simply didn't have much chance to return her to a safe location after both events for the rest of the games. There is a chance that John Spartan 117 will not receive a replacement for Cortana.

Are you talking about the MMO?

The Bolt Shot envokes the same feelings of frustation as Armor Lock.
The Director replied to Chris Hansen's topic in Halo 4
Well I guess I'll put my two cents in here. I don't use the boltshot very often, and have only gotten a few kills with it. I've only died from it a few times as well. So for me, it's just one of those weapons that people will use for a while until they realize that if they keep using it their k/d is going to become laughable. I already toss a random grenade around most corners because of shotgun campers in previous Halo games. I don't know why people don't do that instead of constantly get pwnd by the corner campers. As for it being as annoying as Armor Lock, not even close. AL was the cheapest, crappiest, most annoying thing ever to be added to a game. EVER to be added to a game. Just for the lulz, let's do a bit of comparing here. Annoying things about the boltshot: 1. Can be used as a mini-shotgun. 2. Has about the same range as a normal shotgun, if not a longer range. 3. Is OP with Promethean vision. Annoying things about Armor Lock: 1. Slows down gameplay. 2. Makes splatter vehicles almost useless. 3. Can be used offensively (i.e. you can get kills with it. No really, you can.) 4. Sometimes glitches and gives a player about a second more invincibility than they should have had. (the frosting effect) 5. Repels stuck plasma grenades. 6. Cannot be shot through, even with the most powerful weapons in the game. 7. Repels rockets (as in actually changes the direction they go in). 8. Has an EMP, so if you (or your vehicle) are too close when it's released your shields are gone (and your vehicle is disabled). 9. There are a ton of players who use it to "delay the inevitable". 10. It's one of the most broken components ever added to a video game (seriously, portable invincibility that you can activate at any time? Come on.) So yeah, even if you take out the numbers that are strictly in my own opinion, AL is still more annoying than the boltshot. Statistically, that is. -
Nah lol I just got bored a while back. This kept me entertained. So basically, in a molecule of Ammonia how many unshared electron pairs are in the Nitrogen atom? One.

Unfortunately I do not have the power to do that, as I do not work for Microsoft or 343i. My suggestion is to play on a different console for now. I was born with a decent brain and haven't let it slip into a state of decay. And yes, if you take the time to look the words up and learn how to pronounce them. Here's a list of Halo books, in no particular order. The Fall of Reach The Flood First Strike Ghosts of Onyx The Cole Protocol Contact Harvest Halo Evolutions (1 and 2) Cryptum Primordium Silentium Glasslands The Thursday War and "Halo Graphic Novel", which is a comic book. If XBLS said you should be good, then you should be good. Otherwise, I would suggest checking both accounts to see if you get the code. Which you should have by now.

Congratulations. A long time coming in my opinion.

It wouldn't be an issue of muscles, it would be an issue of whether or not they could obtain lift. No matter how hard you flap your arms, you will not be able to obtain lift, and it would be the same for the Yanme'e... Unless their exoskeleton isn't made out of chitin, and is instead made out of a lighter material. Or perhaps they have gas bladders, similar to fish. There's about a billion different explanations for how they fly. Take your pick of one that fits with the story lol

No, neither card will increase your life-points. Wall of Revealing light requires you to PAY life points, which is not the same thing as taking damage. Self-Destruct Button kills both monsters on the field, however with PMD you can sacrifice a card instead of having him die. However, neither situation gains you any life points. I Promessi Sposi by Alessandro Manzoni. Unfortunately for you, it was assigned reading for me in high school Italian class lmao I can still barely speak Italian though .-. They shouldn't, if they are made out of aluminum. The only way they would effect them then is by messing with the circuitry, however I've been told there are ways around that. By posting 500 times. However, if you post things like "lol" and "okay", and other posts that don't really contribute to the topic at hand, then your posts may be removed and you may get slapped with a warning. You need to contact X-Box Live support for this. Your main concern should be that your account was stolen rather than that you were banned from Halo 4. What was 343 Industries thinking? - No doubles?!??!?!
The Director replied to Slayten's topic in General Discussion
When Halo 3 was released the only online matchmaking playlists available were (in ranked) Team Slayer, Lone Wolves, Team Throwback, and MLG (may have missed one or two). Later, Team Swat, Team Snipers, Team Doubles, and several others were added and removed, depending on their popularity. It was the same thing with the unranked playlists as well. The only Halo game that has come out with a multitude of playlists right out of the box was Halo Reach, and a decent percentage of those playlists were hardly played. The way it's looking, people who enjoy certain playlists (i.e. Team Snipers or Team Doubles) that are not super popular will still be able to play on their playlist when it's cycled back into circulation. This also makes it easier to find a game by consolidating players. Honestly though, it's a bit of a roundabout way of doing things in my opinion lol -
I feel you about the maps (can't wait for the map packs to be released) but I completely disagree about the DMR. I'm one of the guys who use both the DMR and the BR, and I LOVE it when people use the DMR on certain maps, because they end up giving me a killing spree. For this reason I think I have more sprees from the BR than I do from the DMR.

Cortana was created by humans (to be specific, Dr. Halsey) using a clone of Dr. Halsey's brain. The Didact called her an "advanced Ancilla" because Ancilla is their word for "smart" AI's like Cortana. And she is "advanced" because he had not expected humanity to have Ancillas at that point in time. I also think it was more of a shoutout to the Gravemind in Halo 2 and 3 (What are you hiding from me? lol)

I use Turtle Beach Earforce X-11's, and these things are pretty boss. Good sound quality, and they are durable. They allow you to hear "directional" sound, so when you are playing a video game and someone is running up behind you you will hear it as behind you. Pretty nifty while playing an FPS that has back-smacks as a 1sk (1 smack kill lol) They have volume control, so you can turn your television all the way down and just listen with your TB's. You can make it loud or quiet, and they function as a microphone as well. You can control both the chat and game volumes, so if you are playing a game that the sound isn't important and talking to someone, you can turn the game volume down without having to worry about not being able to hear your friend, and vice versa. As far as durability goes, I've had my turtle beaches for about two years. While I take care of them, I'm not exactly obsessive with the care I give them. Literally the only two downsides of this headset is the cost and the wires. However, they are cross compatible with all consoles (even the N64) and can work on your computer. I use my Turtle Beaches to not only play video games, but to record voice-overs on gameplay videos as well. Here's an example of a PC game recorded with a voice-over using the Turtle Beach X-11's Here's an example of an X-Box 360 game recorded with a voice-over using the Turtle Beach X-11's (without gameplay audio)

No. A person with DID is still just one person. And even if there is a second personality threatening suicide while the "first" personality doesn't want to commit suicide, that's still considered suicidal because the personalities are based off of the person's (as a whole) brain. Dynasty* lol and the reason (as explained by the lore) is because they no longer felt worthy of maintaining the mantle because they were unable to save the galaxy from the flood without killing everything in it, which is sort of the exact opposite of what the mantle entails.

My take on Halo 4. This is how a "my opinion" thread SHOULD look like. In my opinion... http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/19481-my-review-of-halo-4/
-
Hello everyone. I thought I'd go ahead and put this thread out there since a lot of people have been asking me about what I like and dislike about Halo 4. This is going to be a very long thread, but it still saves me from having to explain it over and over again. This is all in my own opinion, and is based off of my personal experiences with the game. Likes Campaign: I loved the storyline and the campaign gameplay. I've played it through six times so far, and of my own free will rather than for challenges. That's something that Halo Reach was not able to do for me. The campaign engaged me, and left me feeling satisfied but wanting more. Vehicles: 1. I like that they balanced the banshee a little bit. In Reach, the thing was far too OP. The only people who couldn't get at least a frenzy in it were those that didn't know what left bumper did. Now, there is a small delay between flips, and the weaknesses are easier to exploit. This doesn't mean that it's a cardboard vehicle, just means that it can be taken down fairly quickly and needs an experienced pilot in it. 2. The Gauss Hog in matchmaking is one thing I missed about Reach. Yeah, I'm one of "those" guys, who can use the gauss hog as a sniper rifle. It doesn't feel as OP as the Halo 3 gauss did either for some reason. Also there is no "shot drag", which I think is pretty fair. 3. The Mantis is one of the best defensive vehicles in the game. I'm not exactly pro with it, but I can get a killing spree with it. I can also take it down pretty quick. The sniper rifle is excellent against this vehicle mainly because of it's slow movement speed and it's size. Weapons: 1. I like the way that you need to adapt to each different map with your loadouts. I've never been a weapon fanboy, so it doesn't bother me that the DMR beats the BR in long range and vice versa in short range. I do like that I do better in close quarters maps with the BR and better in long maps with the DMR. Puts a little bit of strategy into the game. 2. I like the sounds of most of the weapons. I'm glad that they now sound more realistic, albeit slightly quieter. 3. I love the way that the weapons are balanced out now. That there is no "king weapon", because all of them are made for different scenarios. 4. The power weapons for the most part feel like power weapons now. 5. The needler is boss again. 6. Bullet spread is a whole lot less than it was in Reach, and I'm thankful for that. Gameplay: 1. I like the new unlock system. It takes the feeling of Halo 3, where you actually had to accomplish things to unlock different armor, and adds the simplicity of Halo Reach. I like that some items are difficult, but that they tell you how to unlock them. 2. The spawns seem to be a step up from Halo Reach, where it was so easy to spawn lock people that it was ridiculous. There are still some hiccups, but it's definitely an improvement. 3. It feels like I'm actually playing as a Spartan again, rather than an overhyped GI-Joe knock-off. The jump height is back to what I like to call "weeee" level, the fall damage is greatly reduced (still there, but a trip off a curb won't take your shield all the way off), and the ability to punch through a sliver of shield is back. 4. The armor abilities feel useful without feeling OP to me. With each and every one, there is a different tactical approach you have to take to use it effectively, and I love that. 5. The ability to ninja people without having to be on an incline or jump crouch is back. Nuff said. 6. Overall the gameplay feels familiar, but new and refreshing. Dislikes Campaign: The only thing I didn't like was the ending. I simply wish they had gone in a different direction with it. Vehicles: 1.The "power" vehicles still feel like overburdened cardboard boxes with cannons attached to them. In the grand ol' days, the tanks used to be the map control vehicles. In Reach, they were laughable. Someone would shout "Tank!" and everyone else on the team would laugh as they nade spammed it into oblivion. Now, the scorpion is slower than it's ever been, and feels as if it does less splash damage. One of my biggest pet peeves is when things get nerfed to the point that they are nearly useless, and that fits the bill perfectly with the tanks. These are supposed to be the vehicles that everyone rushes for at the beginning of a match, and now they sit there gathering dust, or getting the crap blown out of them with SMALL ARMS FIRE, which they are supposed to be immune to. Seriously, it's a few hundred years into the future in this game. Even in real life a magnum isn't going to do jack against a tank. C'mon. -.- 2. The spontaneous ordinance drops make the maps less vehicle friendly than they have been in past Halo games. One thing that separates Halo from games like CoD is vehicular warfare. 3. The ghost's weak point is less exploitable than it has ever been, making the ghost into a force to be reckoned with unlike in Halo 2 and Halo 3, where it was mainly a hit and run vehicle. 4. All of the vehicles weapons (with the exception of the ghost and banshee) seem to have been nerfed a little bit. As I've said before, I hate nerfs. Weapons: 1. The DMR/BR five-shot seems to slow things down a little bit in slayer. I honestly would have preferred that they make the DMR 4-shot instead of the BR 5-shot. 2. The grenades don't do as much as they used to, and seem a bit glitchy at times. I've seen people at medium-low shields walk right over a frag grenade and just lose their shields. This seems to encourage grenade spam, rather than slowing down how many grenades are thrown, which is annoying. 3. "Flinching" is very, very annoying. Especially in games like Team Snipers, where accuracy is king. For instance, if I am aiming at my opponents head and he hits me in the foot just as I fire, I feel as if I should get the kill rather than having my shot go wild. Flinching makes it more difficult to "make a comeback" during a firefight. Normally I prefer a challenge, but when someone who is blatantly spamming manages to get a kill on me simply because my character is flinching and thereby I cannot hit him, it awakens a primal fury inside of me. 4. While bullet spread is down, I have noticed bullet spread in sniper rifles. The most "precise" weapons in the game. The fact is, in the human sniper the shot speed has already been turned down. There really is no need to add bullet spread into a weapon that can't be spammed. 5. The Light Rifle is supposed to be a mix between the BR (when unscoped) and the DMR (when scoped), however that's ruined due to the scoped 4-shot it's capable of. 6. The BoltShot seems to have supposed to be a mix between the Magnum and the Plasma Pistol, with the magnums headshot capability and the PP's overcharge capability. However, it turned into a spammable Magnum/shotgun. This is not supposed to be a power weapon, and yet it can easily be considered as such. 7. The overcharge on the Plasma Pistol takes up far more ammo than it ever has before. In previous Halo games, you could go for an extended period of time with it oc'd. Now, however, you cannot take your time and aim it at an oncoming (or outgoing) vehicle. It has turned into a knee-jerk reaction weapon, which I do not like. Gameplay: 1. I do not like that it's based off of score rather than kills. This allows someone who goes 20/25 to top someone who goes 20/10 on the scoreboard simply because they got more revenges. In objective games, I get it, but non-kill based scoring doesn't feel right to me in slayer gametypes. 2. The glitchiness of certain aspects of the game. For instance, the Legendary Armor Unlock glitch. It didn't happen to me, but it has happened to quite a few of my friends, and I don't like that. The challenges glitching out are also annoying. 3. Black screens now aren't always a black screen for everyone. In previous Halo games, when someone went into a black-screen, EVERYONE went into a black-screen. This prevented certain modifications (e.g. lag-switching) from being super-effective. Now, players will be in black screen while other players are still playing, and will appear to be afk in the actual game itself. I've only noticed this twice, but it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. Overall I love this game, even though certain bits of it annoy me. It's not everything I always wanted out of Halo, but I'm still happy with what I got. I waited five years for this game, and it was well worth the wait. I cannot wait until Halo 5 comes out.

Easy. An autobiography.

Nope. (which is always the right answer, trust me), also, it has to be non-magnetic. Honestly, I believe that's the speech he gave to the counsel regarding the "human/flood threat". And if he IS by some chance still alive, he's either in a different forerunner instillation, on Requiem, or floating around in space somewhere. I have heard people from 343i (frank for instance) say that they do not intend on showing Master Chief's face. They are supposed to send them in an email to the email that your X-Box Live account is set up for. The email is supposed to be sent before December 1st. You are not doing anything wrong. This may be an issue with either your connection, or the server's connection to your X-Box. Bear in mind, matchmaking challenges have to be completed IN online matchmaking (not custom games or Spartan Ops). Sometimes if your connection is iffy, the stats will screw up effectively screwing up your challenges. This can be detrimental to some by "locking" the challenges as incomplete, and beneficial to others by resetting completed challenges. My suggestion is to create a post on halowaypoint.com and see if anyone has some protips for you. Also, you will need to ask one of our news-team about the specializations and how they would work. From what I understand you should receive a code via the email that you signed up for XBL with by December 1st. I believe I can provide you with some assistance. http://www.cs.iastate.edu/~prabhu/Tutorial/PIPELINE/pipe_title.html If that doesn't work, then I don't know what will. o.o
