I found it rather amusing that you were correcting him in such a manner, and were wrong yourself :3 In Glasslands Looks like you might have skipped a bit. xD

Bring elites back to being playable in halo 4
The Director replied to Jonny_Rebble's topic in Halo 4
Where exactly are you getting your information from? -
There are rumors of a sequel to Glasslands, which would take place either during or after Halo 4. Glasslands pretty much sets the stage for Halo 4. Judging from where Glasslands left off, the sequel should coincide with Halo 4, rather than take place afterwards. Also, (and this has been confirmed) there is a novel that will be released around the time of Halo 4 that you may find interesting. It is the third book in "The Forerunner Saga". I forget the name (Infinitium or somesuch) however some of the events in the novel may be in Halo 4, simply because of the release date of the book. This would make sense if they are trying to prevent spoilers. 343i/Microsoft/Bungie doesn't usually try to prevent speculation, but rather encourage it, so if the book didn't have spoilers than it would probably be out by now. However, the last novel that was focused on a specific Halo game was The Flood, and that was for Halo CE. The novels after The Flood seem to focus more on Blue Team and the adventures of other characters in the Haloverse rather than on Master Chief. It seems that Bungie was attempting to move their games farther from the novels (which in my opinion is a shame).

If Chief reveals his face. Who would you want him to look like?
The Director replied to Itz JoshE's topic in Halo 4
If Master Chief took off his helmet, I would look away from my tv and scream "nonononononooononononononoooooooooooo!" -
I disagree with this. From what we know, Forerunner AI's are made from organic "sentience". Who's to say that this is all they use of the organism when they create the AI? The Forerunner's don't really seem the type to use "scare tactics" like putting a skull on their fighting machines. I honestly think that the skulls are from forerunners, and that the machines were built off of Forerunner bodies (as in actual incorporates the bodies), similar to their AI's.

So... when does MC eat or sleep?
The Director replied to N@han FloreZ's topic in Member Created Work
There's a catheter... lmao and there's a reason it looks like a giant space diaper. xD As for eating and such, the suit has the ability to pump liquid into the chief's mouth so he can constantly be drinking (so he doesn't dehydrate) if I recall correctly. As for food, he takes his helmet off and enjoys a power bar when you aren't looking. If you read the books, you know that he only usually sleeps for about an hour at a time, and is able to fall asleep in the suit (which enhances his hearing abilities so that he can wake up when he needs to). If he's anything like a real soldier, he probably grabs sleep whenever he can. On pelican rides, during "the calm before the storm", etc. -
Or you could alter the damage tables a bit. Put a bonus on damage for single wielding, and negate that bonus for duel wielding. As for the OP, honestly, I never liked duel wielding in the first place. I liked it on SWAT, because I could use one magnum and then use the other one while reloading the first, but it never really appealed to me. Also, duel wielding needlers = cheap. >.>

You used to be able to. However, 343i is still tuning the upload/download thing on hxb, and we had to wait three months before they even came out with it, so it may be a while before you can again. xD Maybe with Halo 4? lol

Halo Reach and Halo 4 recruitment
The Director replied to Psycho Seal A89's topic in Clan Recruiting / Advertising
People don't often post on topics that are in the wrong section. They read it and move on, because they know the topic will be moved. Just like this one has. I wish you luck in finding the players you are looking for. -
You can start by introducing yourself http://www.343industries.org/forum/forum/53-introductions-goodbyes/ Then, you can start a thread in a forum that the thread will be based on (for instance, if you want to discuss the Haloverse, you would post under Halo Universe. If you wanted to start a forum game, you would post a thread under offbeat. If you wanted to discuss anything related to either Halo or this site, then you would post under General Discussion. Stuff like that. )

Pokemon! Calling all players and enthusiasts!
The Director replied to Darkrain491's topic in General Discussion
Same, except I beat Silver, Gold, and Crystal. I once had an entire party of lv 100 Mewtwos as well lmao (and an entire box, for that matter) -
Kind of defeats the purpose of a tank if you can safely combat it without heavy weapons though, doesn't it? lol Honestly, Jetpacking annoyed me more than AL. Mainly because a jetpacker could get their hands on a sniper and then glitch their way into a spot that isn't normally in the map (like ledges and crannies).
-
I would love to see it in the campaign, but not in multiplayer. The scorpion tank is good enough for me lol I really wouldn't want to try to go against a grizzly on foot.
-
Lol they were wondering if he was asking if the concussion rifle was returning. As far as the OP goes, the concussion rifle has not been confirmed, and we have seen quite a bit of gameplay so far. So, if it did return, we probably would have seen it by now.

Halo 4 Master Chief Armour Unlockable for Online Play, But...
The Director replied to Spectral Jester's topic in Halo 4
My first run-through is going to be on Easy so I can pay attention to the story. My second is going to be on Legendary. My third is going to be LASO. And THEN I'll go to multiplayer, wearing the MK VI MJOLNIR armor. ;D -
Suddenly All Your Hope's and Dreams Are Smashed...
The Director replied to CRY0RAPT0R's topic in Forge Discussion
People complain about it, yeah, but to me the barriers are half the fun. Trying to break them is an amazing amount of fun, and if you accomplish it you feel great. I'm fine with it as long as the barriers are ridiculous (like the waterfall barrier). -
You would probably have better luck trying to order a US edition off of Amazon or a similar site, rather than buying it from the store.
-
Oh please let it be waterworks. I miss that map.

I don't really pay attention to the kill-feed all that much. I watch my teammates waypoints to determine who's shooting who. How it works for me: I pay constant attention to two things, what's in front of me and what my teammates waypoints are doing. If I see one go red, I glance at the killfeed to see how they were killed and to strategize accordingly (if they were pummeled/assassinated then the enemy is nearby their X, if sniped then the enemy has a sniper, stuff like that). If I see one go yellow, I COULD glance at the killfeed to see who they killed, but that would waste time. I don't even have to look at the killfeed to see text pop up confirming my teammates kill. If I can't (for whatever reason) see my team's waypoints, then I can tell by a glance if the killfeed says "____was killed by___" or "___killed ___ with". The first appears when your teammates die, the second when they get a kill. It takes a bit of practice to be able to determine who killed who, but things taking a bit of practice is a running theme with Halo. What I'm getting at is, while I wouldn't mind your idea being implemented (I take any advantage I can get), it isn't strictly necessary. Also, about the weapon symbols... I don't see it being a loved feature of Halo. Especially combined with the teammate waypoint feature. To be completely honest, if I saw my teammate's waypoint go X and saw a shotgun/sword symbol next to the killfeed, then I would spam the crap out of that area with grenades out of instinct. Since I don't normally use grenades, I would more than likely have 2-4 to throw as well. Not to mention the rest of my teammates who saw the same thing and had the same instincts. This would result in shotgun guy getting nade spammed, and subsequently raging. Now, put yourself in shotgun guy's shoes. You just got the shotgun and got a kill with it, only to be auto-nade spammed because the killfeed called you out. Not to mention the difficulty of creating a tiny sub-avatar for each one of Halo's different weapons. Halo is a game with a rather large arsenal, and creating an avatar that wouldn't push the killfeed into the entirety of the left side would be quite difficult, in my opinion.

1. It would depend on how much you wanted to complete. TES games are known for having a massive amount of "sidequests". For the main story mission, I'd put it at about 320 hours, give or take. Most of that time would probably be spent in Morrowind and Skyrim lol2. Sonic and Mario games. Sonic games are dying out though, but Mario games are still coming in strong. Another really old game that isn't quite a series, but can be considered one is Asteroids, because of how many remakes there are. 3. Old games used to be as infinite as the computers in them could handle. Newer games though, have campaigns that are about 30 hours of gameplay, roughly. It's kind of funny that these days 30+ hour long campaigns are considered "long". I call it Urban Guerrilla Art >.> Different cultures, but same thing. The Halo 2 Sniper Rifle. Back when it was truly a semi-automatic. (I know it's supposed to be semi-auto now, but the fact is that you can totally pull back a bolt in the time it takes between shots.) Choot 'em. lmao Unless you are referring to Abo Dreth, then probably The Old Republic. If it is a reference to the planet, then it was in the old "Star Wars Galaxy" magazine. Oh dear lol this again. As previously stated, it is either 4, 22, or a plethora of different trick answers. lol There isn't a measurement for aggression (because people become more or less aggressive on a daily basis). However, you can tell by basing the person's behavior on your own. If you are an aggressive person, then them being more aggressive than you can usually be ascertained by talking to them. If you are a "beta" or a passive person, then you can tell by watching them interact with people. The Halo Ring award is for 1k posts, last I checked. Elections are held by DragonMonday. Also, if you will recall, some moderators were allowed to run for the title of president of the forums. So your premise that an emergency election is needed because the forum president cannot be a member of staff/mods is incorrect. ATTENTION I am locking this thread for now, because things are a tad chaotic at the moment. It will be unlocked at a later date (maybe next week, or next month). Sorry for any inconvenience this causes. If you do have a serious question you need answered, feel free to PM me.

Happy Albert Day everybody! Go have some cake in Albert's honor.

The last part of it was though.

I don't think either of these are spoilers. It shows a lot of gameplay, but nothing actually critical to the story. We already knew about Cortana going crazy, and now we know that Master Chief and the Captain have a little tiff. He did in a previous post :3 lmao

I've never heard of a "Temporize Tactic" lol But I have heard of a Fabian Strategy. It was Fabius Maximus who avoided open battle and placed units very close to Hannibal to watch and limit his troops movements and stay in the defensive. Hannibal tried very, very hard to draw him into going on the offensive (where he could have decimated him), but Fabius stuck to his strategy. You could say he was temporizing going on the offensive. lol They look really good, and quite honestly I'd rather live forever. It's not that I'm afraid to die, it's just that I want to be able to see the day that humanity creates a galaxy.

Yeah, that was the joke lol
