The subscription is very cheap. Hell, my friend was given two extra "gold" cards (13 months in total) and gave them both to me because he was bored of H4 already. I think they are 50 bucks for an entire year at Target. I have two cards sitting on their arse so I can say first hand subscriptions are simple to get. In truth I'd rather it remain on Gold and not invite an influx of others to sit in and idle games (as I have read is a norm now much like FF in Reach).

Those high end double exp users typically are awful in War Games when they are matched up against people who have earned the rank via MP. That being said, if you consistently play the Spartan Ops missions you will complete challenges that also give a good amount of exp. I think I got (approx) about 8-10k for the challenge completion of killing so many elite commanders. In shootout in Valhalla they all drive the Banshee's so not only can you rack up Banshee kills but also commander kills too. Earning exp is pretty easy at this moment in H4, but as Ackbar said (and I agree), just play and have fun and exp comes anyhow. That way when you go into MP you won't get obliterated.

It's not a war crime. A war criminal is a totally different situation.

I agree with your assessment and also yours, Sierra. It could also be said that the chief has quite a few traits of The Lord of admirals based on numerous sources. Silentium is going to be amazing and really answer a lot.

I have every achievement except the co-op from reach and 4. If anyone is interested in knocking those out with a very good halo player add me (medcsu). Please note I will only do these with those who have completed the game on heroic or above (solo) as I don't want to carry someone and just want to get these done fast as can be.

And I never said I disagreed with that point, in fact I see it the same way as you do. However, consider this, you're the Commander of the single most expensive piece of UNSC created, you have a crew of (probably) thousands at your command. Now then, you have a hostile alien world, a very hostile alien fleet and an unknown enemy that is considerably more advanced than you are. Then, all of a sudden the MC comes back from MIA, has a rampant AI and is claiming something he saw that would further endanger not only the lives of your crew and your vessel, but potentially humanity. If you, the Commander, pursue and your lose than Earth/Colonies have utterly no early warning since they have no idea what is coming. Further, you lose a squadron of S4s and the Master Chief to boot. Then, to top it all off, your ship would be combed over by the Covenant/Didact and all intel on the ship would be absorbed to further help with their attack(s). Now with all the knowledge you then have the savior of humanity saying to take on those odds. What do you do? You either risk all I stated earlier or you turn tail and run to warn the Earth fleets about an incoming attack where you know you will have a considerable amount more ships, troops, MAC platforms, etc. With all that being said, I still believe Del Rio made the prudent military call. A Commander has to weigh the lives of his people and in Del Rio's eyes, he was in (in fact he stated this) no shape to attack such a superior vessel/enemy. I certainly see the MC's side because I played the game and we all know he did the right thing. But from Del Rio's perspective, he weighed the options and decided the other direction. He was put in a bad situation and he decided to protect the vessel and his people which I can respect (as a military man). Though I would have personally chased the Didacts cryptum and blasted it to hell I cannot fault Del Rio. What I do fault Del Rio for, though, is how he treated the MC from the moment they began to interact. On that, Del Rio is a POS.

Yeah this happened to me the first time I played it. Just restart to last checkpoint, that fixed it for me.

Again, by military doctrine(s) he made the correct call based on the limited information he had. At the time he made the decision his ship was battered, the Covenant also had a fleet against him, and Cortana was obviously in a state of rampancy. If he had any proof (other than what MC stated) that Earth would be in danger I would agree but he didn't so he put his ship/crew above the words of the MC and thus made the correct call as a Commander of a vessel. Do I agree with his call? No, I would have believed the MC based on his service record and the potential threat. However, Del Rio was thinking of his crew and ship and as a commander, that call had to be made. It turns out, in this case, he was totally wrong (Del Rio) but the fact he left also allowed for Earth to get a warning (and Del Rio being replaced by Lasky) and somewhat prepare for a hostile alien ship (Didacts). I am not applauding Del Rio's decision, I am simply saying under actual military docrine he made the correct call to safeguard the lives of his crew and his vessel.

The Librarian never states she "added forerunner DNA" in him. This is utterly not true by any means. MC is a human who evolved (as a human) via the Librarian unlocking dormant "seeds" she added in him which would, most certainly, be a geas. This geas, more than likely, has a connection with the Didact and the proof is him hearing the Didacts thoughts as the game progresses. One could say the Didact was directly speaking to him through his mind, but it is quite clear this is simply another Chakas/Lord of Admirals type scenario. The Librarian does state in a cinematic that "humans DNA could have surpassed our own" (speaking to the Didact after ancient humanity was devolved). This clearly shows that humanity has the DNA structure to become something much, much more than they were (even for Ancient Humanity which was very advanced) and the Librarian more than likely just unlocked this DNA sequence. People need to stop claiming the MC at the end of Legendary H4 "looks Forerunner", it's simply stupid as there is nothing about that short glimpse that looks anything like the Forerunners we have seen. MC is a man, a human man, an evolved human man as a Spartan, an even more evolved Spartan human man now based on what the Librarian "unlocked". It is just that simple.

You could do it solo of course and actually earn your armor.

Again, she is being totally ostracized by humanity, her projects are lost, her Spartans were replaced by loud mouth wannabe's and she has nothing to faithfully work on. Not to mention her reputation is that of a criminals and a child abductor. There is certainly a way she would defect, she has nothing else/no reason else to help humanity save the MC/Cortana.
-
I'm sure the Didact had years upon years to study the humans, and their language during both the first war with them, and then again after he helped devolve humanity. Further, Forerunners are so close to humanity in many ways that perhaps we shared a language anyhow. Unlikely, but plausible. The Covenant studied humanity for years before hand and learned the language, there is no reason what so ever the Didact couldn't have done the same considering how much he dealt with the humans.

Actually, from a military mans perspective, Del Rio made the correct call, without a doubt. He was going on limited information from a soldier (MC) who had been MIA for years and for all Del Rio could know, he was hallucinating with his obviously rampent AI. His main concern was the safety of his ship and crew and under military doctrine he sure as hell did the correct thing by wanting to go considering both of those were surrounded by hostile aliens on a hostile world. Del Rio owes the MC nothing at all, especially an explanation. Now I see this from the MC's perspective as well as he "knows what he saw" but Del Rio couldn't take that chance and risk the lives of his crew and the ship. It was a bad situation all around but from merely a military perspective, Del Rio was on the ball.

I should have been more specific I guess. In the THIRD MISSION there is a zero chance to gain any ammo for those weapons based on the achievement. Thus it has to do with the Achievement. Other missions have more chances, many more chances, in fact, it's just the third mission that has the issue.

This I agree with. Co-Op should not get to ever sniff a Legendary set of armor that actual players went through solo and acquired. Elitist or not, it's fact, Co-Op players for Legendary should never make claim to beating it on that difficulty unless they do it alone. I will knock it out with you if you want (the last achievements I need).

I actually thought Regret was more difficult due to the numbers of guard between you and him. Tarturus you could run off and let your shields recharge at least then be right at him again where as Regret you had a guantlet to get through.

I have read all the books/played the games, etc. I preface with this because I am well aware of Halsey, her past, what she stands for, etc. That being said, she is being treated horribly at this time and her project "children" are basically being replaced with loud mouths who utterly have no right to carry the name of Spartan (the Irish girl is just horrendous - Spartan Ops). Now then, with Jul'Mdama stating "maybe we can help eachother", with the way she has been treated after her actions did, in fact, save humanity, and the fact that she lost everything to the war, is there a chance she defects and becomes a possible issue? I know it sounds outrageous at first glance (I thought the same), but story wise, she is being put into a terrible position and obviously nobody has her back (except maybe the MC but he is away and I doubt would hold much sway over the scum bag politicians), thus, could she defect to the Storm? I am thinking there is a possibility.

That was all due to an achievement.

Now I will say that even though I suggested the plasma gun I rarely use it. Learning to be a good shot with precision weapons and when to find cover makes you all the better War Games player. Give it a try if you are just starting, just start working on quick shots to the face and you will eventually get faster/more accurate and knights are a breeze, even on Legendary. Although the battle wagon is a pain due to the area effect of their incineration cannon.

I thought it was great. The music was heroic, the faceoff was epic, the sheer number of enemies was staggering, and the cost of failing meant the destruction of Earth. Yeah....I liked it.

Solo Legendary the first day it came out. There is no other way to play Halo. Co-Op offers no challenge. I am not doing my Legendary Mythic run and it is a *******.

That is debatable if you are referring to the Flood "choosing who to infect". I say this because the Flood obviously were going after ancient humanity in their bid to go after the Forerunners so the Primordium may have been lying. We will know more in Silentium I assume. And I agree, the Necromorphs are easily the most terrifying organism in games.

Hey guys, I found a preview of this vaunted "taming" ability. Here is a clip of the "new" MC in L0N3PR1C3 vision taming a crawler much to the surprise of Lasky.... http://www.metacafe.com/watch/an-nkTe22777h4nJ/the_chronicles_of_riddick_2004_space_beasts_attack_part_2/ Barf....

The Flood will ALWAYS return. There is no true manner by which to eradicate them (though, Ancient Humanity found a way to reverse infect them). They simply return when it is time to test a species as being worthy of the Mantle.

Yes, exactly, Chakas. But I would assume he would retain all his functionality/memory core/& knowledge as what he gained as Spark, in addition to his essence as Chakas. Regardless, yes, that is what I mean.
