I find the only thing ticking me off about Halo 4 was the hype build for the antagonist only to find that he was easily defeated.....

I really didn't like the Didact. He controls hordes of menacing metal monsters, and he sics them on humanity because he's mad. The Prophets had a more sinister motive than just revenge. And he has mustache-twirler tendencies.
