  1. How would you address this though? How would you penalise deliberately putting it out of play and how would you tell if it was deliberate? If I get shot while honestly near an edge and the ball falls off when I die, I don't think my team should suffer for it.
  2. I strongly disagree i think there are plenty of large maps and not enough small ones.
  3. I find it harder work to complete the automatic challenges than the precision ones. But yeah there has been a few in a row recently - personally I believe it's just coincidence and we won't see that happen too often.
  4. Christ.. For anyone who talks about there being no point in playing without more ranks (or trueskill ranks) being added, please why don't you just stop playing now. The idea that all the work that went into creating the multiplayer, and the enjoyment that people can have out of the gameplay, all depends on a totally arbitrary number - it's daft
  5. I wish it was completely off rather than allies only. I find it distracting and I really don't think having my team mates on the motion tracker is useful. I can see the tags over their heads. However halo has always been default tracker on, I believe it is enough to just have a few playlists with it off for those that prefer. My main wish is for completely off instead of showing allies.
  6. To be honest she's annoying. All she does is break her subordinates balls and occasionally not answer the radio during important missions.
  7. I dont think there IS a main theme actually. But i believe the new musical direction is both brave and incredibly effective. I think this is the first halo game in a long time to really achieve depth of atmosphere which the first two games had a good deal of. I think its much more modern and intelligent than a lot of the previous games music. Dont get me wrong i will always love those scores and the main theme is unbeatable. But continuing to recycle the original tunes would be a terrible idea. Halo 4s music is right for halo4 and right for 2012. On the other hand i do agree it really needed that bombastic and inspiring clout the old themes have, in a few moments of the game. Perfect example, in the final encounters as you fight your way to the didact i was desperately hunting for a volume setting to turn up. Even when this soundtrack DID go for old fashioned orchestral epic, it was still understated. Short version, its great and well suited but maybe a little more BOOM next time at the big moments
  8. It's literally only a few seconds, and nothing that happens during it affects anyone's score or stats in any way at all. It literally doesn't hurt anyone. Also It's a bit of a laugh and blows off steam if you had a ****ty game! My only regret is now there is no friendly fire you can't do it to your own team.
  9. I must admit I rarely bother taking frags now, unless it's a small tight map where the bounce becomes handy But this so-called "heat seeking" effect can't wholly be attributed to magnetism/hitboxes or whatever you want to call it. On an imperfect connection (and most are to a degree) there will be a delay which means that while the stickie's path is 'predictively rendered' going wide of the target on your box, the host's version of the game said it was accurate And eventually your box catches up and puts the sticky where it was on the host's box. Short version, lag. I remember seeing it in Halo 3 sometimes.
  10. I think it would still be a long way off the level that armour lock was... you're only covered forward unlike the 360 degrees with AL, plus it does take damage and can be destroyed...
  11. You don't speak for 'the community'. And a lot of your facts about 343 and the game's development are incorrect.
  12. I think it's a sorry state of affairs when someone feels that an arbitrary numbering system tacked onto a game is the whole purpose of playing it. I'm not trying to insult anyone, it's just when you think about it how much time went into the development of the gameplay (maps, guns, player models, testing, playlists, matchmaking system, theatre, etc etc) VS how much goes into deciding that a number goes from 1 to 70... And people then think the latter is the whole point of the game. Not meaning to single out the OP, this seems to be the modern gamers attitude, and I think it's a shame.
  13. Maybe, just maybe, the dmr could use a slight reduction in rate of fire. Ignore what was said about the AR. It is meant to destroy at close range.
  14. Wow @ whoever said that bloom alone lost Reach millions of fans... That's a very deluded view indeed. Almost as deluded as the guy who came in this foum here rantIng about how all of a sudden halo 4 had ruined the shield system by making head and body shots do equal shield damage... Lol
  15. i don't know where you got that idea from, but i was on the bungie forums at the time and ****LOADS of people bitched about halo3. Funnily enough a lot of them thought halo2 was perfect and didn't know loads of people bitched about halo2 when it came out. Its the same pattern every time
  16. I really like it and to be honest i wouldn't bother starting with another weapon. Kind of bummed though because i'd like to use the br more but i don't seem to win nearly as many 1v1s with it
  17. I am really confused with this post, perhaps i have misunderstood. Because every single halo MP has been this way. Shields are the same all over. Only once they are gone does the headshot become relevant. I am shocked that anybody couldnt notice.
