  1. 1: You see 343 Guilty Spark moving through space at the end of Halo CE... Just have to watch the credits long enough. He is humming his little tune and going through space so we knew he was alive. The Cortana one is a fairly good point though. 2: While we barely got to know him as a character in Halo 4, I dont see that as a reason to keep him around. They could just as easily set up his demise as a premise for the Forerunners to return in force (they did go somewhere, just nobody is sure where) and their attempt at revenge upon humanity for killing him. In that way the character's development in Halo 4 just doesnt matter, only his death matters at that point. There are countless other ways they could go on from his death while still including him to some degree as a dead character. 3: I believe the Didact was unable to be composed in the first place... so I dont think that would have happend but who knows. Time does crazy things to physiology and his supposed immunity could be gone at the time he falls.
  2. Must just be a personal problem as I do fine at any range.
  3. Honestly the only reason why I started playing online was to play ME3's multiplayer due to it influencing the campaign. Beyond that I could live without having any multiplayer. I replay campaigns over and over again (not right in a row mind you) as they are enjoyable. I struggle to comprehend what people would do if there were no multiplayer games out there... That being said, if your not enjoying it then its not worth playing.
  4. I dont see it but for some reason Liara keeps on showing up where ever I look. Tali showes up too every once and a while.
  5. 1: I edited your post in this quote to make it a bit easier to read. I didnt change the content, just put it into more managable paragraphs and added punctuation where needed. 2: I disagree with you with every fiber of my being. I find that Halo 4 has more of a Halo feel than ever before. It is different true, however it is no longer detached from humanity. The characters are more life like than ever before. New issues are being presented which bring up questions of our past, who we are as a person and what our future might bring to the rest of the galaxy. The multiplayer has issues, that is a given. However I do not believe that they are that drastic. The gameplay is fairly solid and each person has has a fairly good start. No one player is superior to another in the begining of a match. That is because we are able to choose which weapons best fit our playstyle. If you prefer longer range damage people go with the DMR. Better with higher rates of fire? Go with the Carbine. Closer range stuff has its own weapons as well with AR starts. With the mixed bag on each team, the teams themselves are more or less equal. There also are weapon drops on the game that you can plan for and make stratagies around. Each person has an equal chance at fighting over the random drops on the map. Vehicles are farely well balanced (except the Gauss Hog on Exile). There is tons of tactical choices to make, more than ever before actually. The depth of choices in this game and how they can affect the outcomes of matches is astounding. "Skillful players" (I use the term loosely) still are able to rock the field of battle. I for one thrive in BTB on Halo 4. I might not score at the top all the time but I am bloody good to have on a team. Knowing when to support other players and with what is more important now than ever before. They are actually encouraging teamwork in this game. Yes, I think the boltshot needs to be tweeked, but only slightly. Its a great weapon to begin with but yes it does need to be tweeked. In the previous Halo games the BR dominated everything, now your complaining that a new weapon (the DMR) has the lime light? More importantly the BR can tool the DMR closer in and in SWAT on tight maps the BR far outstrips the DMR. It has its uses and still is a very powerful weapon. If anything the Carbine needs a boost. I personally enjoy the maps in Halo 4 (with the exception of Shatter and Vortex). They are fairly well balanced to me and create opportunities for teams to thrive or be destroyed (depending on which team you are at that given time). Map control is still very important and in the vast majority of the Halo 4 maps you are able to control the flow of battle by taking certain areas (for example on Longbow you take the top middle structure). I am not particularly sorry that you dont like the game. That is your choice, but that doesnt make Halo 4 a bad game or a "ruined" game. The Halo franchise will continue on in a new direction (one that I think is a good one) that provides an enjoyable experience for all players. Food for thought: Games will never be tailored to what YOU want them to be. Enjoy what you have for you are lucky to have it in the first place.
  6. I havent listen to all of them but I have to wonder if I was ever mentioned.. I am paranoid now.
  7. I pose this question to you then... Why would a Spartan, training for missions, train as an Elite? They are not Elites. The physical differences make the operate differently. Different mentalities are also needed as Elites have a far different order of battle than Spartans do. More over, Spartans are arguably superior in skill, armor and tactics than Elites are. Their enhancements bring them up to a physically equal level with Elites and time and time again we see Spartans win in 1v1 fights or even 1vX fights due to their skills and armor. Dont get me wrong. Elites are tough dudes but I dont think they are as tough as Spartans. Take Spartan Thorne for instance. It took a host of Elites to take him down and capture him in the first place. he killed several. Whats more impressive is that he took out even more during his escape. Rescued Glassman and when an Elite assassin team went after him he dealt with them in good order. The only time he needed help was right at the end but considering the physical shape Thorne was in compared to the Elite at the begining of that fight (not to mention Thorne killed all that Elites buddies right then and there) the Elite would have just barely won that fight. So why would they not train against superior opponents such as other Spartans?
  8. Umm Elites are in Halo 4... you are actively shooting them in both the Campaign and in Spartan Ops. Now if you are refering to having "playable Elites" in Halo 4 thats a completely different subject.
  9. My first time was on the old school XBOX at a LAN party we held for our wrestling team after a meet (we won BTW). 16 man game. Was amazing.
  10. I dont see a place for playable Elites in Halo 4 (even more so considering how long it has been out now). Perhaps in Halo 5 though. If it happens it happens, if it doesnt it doesnt.
  11. I think it is the exact opposite. You have more tools at your disposal, more than ever before. That means new options that people have never considered before. New ways to tackle challenges. More way to influence the field of combat in a way that favors you and your team. Its how the player is able to multitask their mind on each of these tools that makes it successful. For some it is too complex (yet even then they can be successful players in their own right) and for others it is just right. Yet still others have issue with it being too little (I speak of my views for the armor unlocks). Team play is encouraged to nearly an extreme in Halo 4 but that isnt a bad thing to me. Paired along side all the new tools at an individual players disposal and you come up with one heck of a formidable combo.
  12. Who controls the Prometheans, the overall future of humanity due to the involvement of the Librarian and their rise to claim the mantle. The possible search for Cortana...
  13. Well the wording of your post is a demand (as is the title of that post). Not a great way to start off on any forum to be honest. I realize you didnt intend to offend anybody but perception is everything on the internet (and in life these days). If you had worded it more constructively I am fairly certain that they wouldnt have done any sort of ban upon you. Unfortunately you did not, instead you come across as (to me) a rager who is not interested in the community but is ticked off over an isolated experience for a player. Not every player lags. The problem you presented, while being a legit problem, was presented poorly. It is worded in a manor that seems consistant with a young child demanding a toy from mom or dad while at the store and throwing a fit when mom or dad doesnt buy it for them. I am not trying to insult you, just trying to give you perspective on what your post looks like in my eyes. I agree that you have a legit issue, but you need to present it differently. Also I am from Minnesota (not to far away from the cities) and I rarely have lag unless I am playing with people from multiple countries around the world.
  14. I rock Default. I never have changed from it in any game period and I dont plan on breaking that.
  15. Just dealing with the bolded/colored text... I find this to be a bad thing to be honest. Making it like Halo 3 is not progress but regression... The rest of your post I agree with however.
  16. They kind of explained that during that video. But still I love the image you captured. Gives a physical appearance to that AI.
  17. Well the Infinity is 6km long. Far larger than any Covenant ship ever known beyond High Charity (which really wasnt a ship but a planetoid built around a Forerunner ship). The next largest they have is half the size of the Infinity.
  18. No, that was a human composed when the Didact attacked New Pheonix on Earth. Just a regular human turned into a Promethean AI. Thats why it has memories of the New Pheonix attack.
  19. Close enough I suppose. I was looking for the Mantis stomp but I wont be too picky at this point.
