Yay or Nay for Betrayal?

Yay or Nay for Betrayal?
Vaulting♥Frog replied to I_Make_Big_Boom's topic in Halo: The Master Chief Collection
This is another reason why I cant stand PvP content. I am not sure I could count high enough to describe how many times I have been betrayed by my own team simply because they could. I have no power weapons, not in their line of fire, not taking a vehicle... absolutely no reason yet they do it anyways. It is not entertaining in the slightest. Personally I would rather they just get rid of PvP period but that will never happen. Splitting up the playlists seems to be the only viable option however trolling will always occur in any playlist, which is why I wont play it in the first place. -
What Halo weapon would you have in real life?
Vaulting♥Frog replied to depressant's topic in General Discussion
Ok so then you are talking about hand held weapons... Got ya. I would probably have to go with the Halo CE Magnum pistol.- 31 replies

Does that energy sword run off of AA or AAA batteries? Also define weapon. Are we talking firearms or anything goes?- 31 replies

Destiny - Xur Exotic Recommendations Week One
Vaulting♥Frog replied to VinWarrior's topic in General Discussion
1: Crest of Alpha Lupi is a wonderful chestpiece for any Titan. Spawning more orbs is always good. 2: Dance Machines look like crap to me, also the other Hunter exotics far outclass it. You get similar buffs out of legendary boots. 3: Voidfang is meh. Sold too much so I don't care. 4: No Land Beyond is amusing. Grimore score included. 5: You depend way too much on heavy ammo synths. This amused me. Keep them coming. -

Caboose you make me want to hit my head against a brick wall for that load of nonsense right there. You don't seem to grasp the concept of mass production economics. Manufacturing equipment becomes cheaper once methods of production are optimized. Logic would dictate that if they are mass producing Spartans then they would have mass manufacturing of MJOLNIR armor systems for those new Spartans. Following said logic, for mass production to work the product must be cost effective. With mass production you get cheaper costs of producing your product simply because you turn it into a cookie cutter operation. Set patterns are followed cutting out a whole boat load of nonsense to get a uniform product. Materials are cheaper for production due to buying in bulk as well. The only truly costly thing is the R&D Department researching potential technologies for future integration. That is simply because it involves a huge amount of trial and error with no set templates. If anything the Spartan-IV program is far cheaper and more effective than the Spartan-II program ever was.
-
Caboose, the aim was to make Spartans cheaper in both armor and training while using a huge gene pool for mass production. The Spartan-IV program is the next evolution of that idea. The Spartan-III program was trying to do it as well but the tech for the augmentations wasn't up to scratch yet. The Spartan-IV program fits in perfectly with the lore to be honest. Taking fully grown soldiers and turning them to super soldiers was the goal and they accomplished it.

Ok let me help out here since I still remember quite a bit about this subject. The augmentations that the Spartan-II program received: Carbide ceramic ossification - not to exceed 3% of total bone mass due to loss of white blood cells. Basically makes bones unbreakable Muscular enhancement injections - increase tissue density and reduce recovery times Catalytic thyroid implant - growth hormone to boost skeletal and muscle tissue growth Occipital capillary reversal - increases visual perception in all light levels Superconducting fibrification of neural dendrites - boosts reflexes by 300%, also marked increases in intelligence, creativity and memory All of which were done with invasive surgery. Not a pretty picture for the Spartan-IIs. The Spartan-III program had only these new additions: Unknown name of augmentation - while I do not know the specific name of the augmentation I know what it does. It mutates select areas of the subjects frontal lobe increasing aggression in times of stress, basically reducing them to a more primitive state to endure massive injury without stopping. They will still die eventually but not immediately. Miso-olanzapine and cyclodexine-4 - an antipsychotic and bipolar intergration drugs designed to offset the unknown named augmentation to preserve rational thought and higher brain functions. Keep in mind these three new augmentations were given to only Gamma Company of the Spartan-III program. Alpha and Beta Companies did not have these what so ever. Instead they received the same augmentations as the Spartan-II program, only updated so they could be applied to a wider gene base. Augmentation wise the Spartan-IIs and the Spartan-IIIs are nearly identical with the exception of Gamma Company. I cannot speak for the Spartan-IV program because I honestly have no clue. There is no particular reason why they couldn't wear MJOLNIR armor however as that armor is so bloody expensive it just wouldn't be cost effective to have 930 suits of it made for what are basically expendable troops. Oh and for the record (once again) I am still of the belief that Halo: Reach (the game) is a giant turd upon any lore in the Halo universe. Bungie screwed the pooch with that one. Halo: Ghosts of Onyx accounted for every single Spartan-III surviving and dead. Alpha Company was wiped out completely at K7-49 (300 KIA confirmed). Beta Company was almost completely wiped out on Pegasi Delta (298 KIA confirmed, 2 survivors). Gamma company was destroyed on Onyx with nearly 100% casualties (all of team Katana survived in stasis, of team Saber only 3 survived which is a total of 8 ). To be exact only 8 out of the 330 of Gamma Company survived, that is barely over 2%. Since they were all accounted for on other locations (and knowing the numbers of each company and how they were deployed) no Spartan-IIIs could have been on Reach much less anywhere else those other "stories" describe. Giant bloody middle finger to previously established lore no matter how you look at it if you ask me.

See, this is what I have been telling people for years. Halo 4 never needed to be like Halo 2 or Halo 3. Those games are their own beasts, you just have to enjoy what you have now for what it is. Halo 4 was by no means a bad game, people were just too stuck on the older games to even give it a chance. Reach had the same issues. I am glad to see that you have come to enjoy it. Sure it isn't perfect, no game is but you are enjoying it none the less and that is what is important.

If another developer could make Halo...
Vaulting♥Frog replied to DNasty813's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
So I would have to deal with yet another round of people whining and complaining that the developer isn't Bungie? No thanks. Oh wait, they would also add in that they aren't 343i.... Yeah that still isn't something I am willing to deal with. Realistically, no gaming community will ever be happy with a product that is released because they are not tailored to individual taste. I say, just deal with it and play the game if you enjoy it. If not then just don't play it. -

Fishy, you should think about doing the Frontier Defense playlist if you have smaller lobbies. It is a 4 person co-op against the AI which can get really intense and it doesn't require DLC.

I still remember spending ages trying to win the riddle contest and once I did the world made sense again. Also for some reason I still have 2 Halo Ring: World Domination awards which is awesome. I don't recall if anybody else has two of them or not. PS don't you take them away, they is mine! I also still remember that first Spades n AZ custom game night we did, that was some crazy stuff right there.

Halo MCC isn't actually a game... it is a collection of games. Thus it cant be titled "worst game of 2014". Blam!

Games that everyone loves but you don't
Vaulting♥Frog replied to Zandril's topic in General Discussion
Lets see here... GTA - I just do not approve of the concept for the games. Crime as entertainment bothers me personally. CoD - Though I know it is only one part of a single game, I can not approve of any series that turns a terrorist event into entertainment. Let me be a bit more specific, a game that has the player participate, if not instigate a terrorist event is something I will never approve of. As I said, I know it is only one part of a game but I refuse to support a franchise that allows such things in the first place. Minecraft - I get it. I have played it. It is amusing for about 10 minutes, then I am left wondering what else is there to do because I grew bored. Punching trees and stone just doesn't cut it for me. Zombie games - There are a few good ones out there, but in all honesty I am sick of them. They either try to be too comical and nonsensical or they try too hard to be "scary". Running zombies don't scare me in the slightest, in fact they too away from that kind of monster in my opinion. Over all the gameplay just is boring. Most sport games - Again it is generally a rehash of the previous years game with new faces. They don't really entertain me at all. Now old school ones are amusing some times but I rarely feel the need to go out and play them. Driving games - This is a class of game that I just don't understand. Like Nascar, I don't see the point in driving in a circle for hours on end. I played Burnout Paradise for the crashes and that is about it. The races in it were nothing special to me, nor were the environments. Halo 2/3/Wars - I do not like these three games. Though at least Halo 2 and 3 managed not to be put into my microwave and nuked. Wars was just plain old bad. Halo 2's only saving grace for me is seeing things from the Arbiters perspective, its story was lack luster and its multiplayer was broken. Halo 3's story was rushed and boring to me and its multiplayer only encouraged the E-peen contests. Kingdom Hearts - Just a series that held no interest to me. Not a bad game just not interesting. I think that will do it for now. -

I personally would rather not see any Brute vehicles again. They weren't very fun to operate in my opinion. As far as flying vehicles I would do away with the Hornet and the Falcon. Give me a Skyhawk any day over those two. Also I think that instead of bringing back some of the old and obscure vehicles they should work on implementing Forerunner vehicles (possibly AI driven).

I think that Metal Gear peaked quite a few years ago and has been milked dry so no I wouldn't pick it up.
