  1. I wasnt much of a fan of playing as an Elite and for this game it would be rather akward I would think. That being said I definately could see future Halo games with more playable Elites.
  2. Glad you cant drop the flag, no more flag sprinting.
  3. My thoughts exactly. I am not a fan of boss fights in Halo.
  4. Thats the thing, players themselves do the balancing here. With such small percentage boosts there isnt much 343i would have to do. Being tailored to your own play style you more or less just enhance what your already doing, and with the ability for anybody to get any armor in the game players are on equal footing still. Its a give and take situation. If you spec fully into shields you give up damage, speed, recharge, ammo capacity or any number of other things people could think of. Things that can nullify your fully spec'ed shield. Just like choosing loadouts. You have several different ARs that while fill in the same role have different stats to them and affect things differently however slight. Thats players balancing players right there with those selections.
  5. Bring it back! I am an even better meat shield in snipers than anything else.
  6. They are just maps, nothing I am overly excited about but hey thats life. Not saying they are good, nor are they bad. They just exist.
  7. Darn right they shouldnt cater to the whiners. Instead they should cater to me and me alone. My noobness needs all the help it can get.
  8. How about give its charged shot a slower travel time and increase its damage penalties when hitting something other than the head. Head shot: max damage Torso: 90% damage Upper arms/upper legs: 80% Lower arms/lower legs: 70% Something like that.
  9. Sorry but hard for me to take you seriously. Your stating an opinion, not a fact. To me the core gameplay is very much alive and intact. The new story is just begining and it already has a great start. Adding in little things over the games has been a boon not a curse as it keeps things interesting without violating the spirit of the game. Now then please do not push your personal opinion as fact. What I said above (beyond you stating a personal opinion) is my own opinion. To you I am probably wrong but to others I am right. What matters is that I am right for myself and thus able to enjoy the game for what it is.
  10. Yes, yes we have. I just decided to make its own thread so others can see it.
  11. As I said it wasnt a boss fight. If it were then you would have been doing a whole lot more instead of button sequences. The ending fight really was when you were working to shut down the shields to set the nuke. That is the end fight, of which I loved.
  12. I am noob sauce, and I show it. But nobody is unbeatable. People need to get over their egos.
  13. What boss fight? I recall no boss fight in H4. It was an objective ending which I loved.
  14. I didnt even see this thread until now. Congrats on the MoM. Well earned.
  15. I actually had this idea for Reach and its armory but I was ignored when I mentioned it. Sad day that day. But yes some challenges could be made from this. I just like the added depth it would bring to the over all gameplay.
  16. Not sure if this actually belongs in here or in a different section but seems like it will fit. I am tired of the armory and its uselessness. The armor pieces are worthless. Whats the point in unlocking them if they dont actually do anything for your Spartan? My idea is thus: Give each piece of armor a small stat boost when worn. Nothing more than 2% or 3% mind you so its not overwhelming. Shoulder pieces would be 1% only as you can put two on (adds up to a 2% boost). So lets say you equip chest piece A. Chest piece A gives you a 2% boost to ammo capasity to all weapons. This gives you a few extra rounds to carry into a fight. While at the same time you decided to skip out on chest pieces B and C. Chest piece B could have given you a 2% increase in shields while chest piece C could have given you a 2% boost in shield recharge rate. Its a give and take which allowes you to customize your Spartan even further to your particular play style while not throwing everything out of balance. It makes the unlocked armor actually useful and is something worth while to work towards. Yes somebody could spec completely into shields which would give them a total of either 10% or 14% (depends on if the boost is at 2% or 3% for everything but shoulders). How ever they are giving up on possible damage increase, speed increase or any number of other stat boosts. Another player could spec for more damage and completely nulify their shield boost so in a sense the players balance themselves by their own choices. No one ends up being superior to another. Its just a rough idea but I would rather not see useless data on my games.
  17. If I knew I would tell you. I suck hardcore at art so its not for me. But welcome to the forums.
