  1. Over three weeks, I have not even been a member for a week. Look at the time stamps of my post. OOO wait you clear don't read. I have better sources then wikipedia to back up my information. How about B&N , Amazon or the book itself. Just because you did a google search to try to dispprove what I said, doesn't mean that I used the first thing that you saw in your search results. Also I picked up the book and the game together.
  2. Emile-A239 (Black) and Avery Junior Johnson (Black) were both really cool characters. albino [insert race here]. If it make you feel better. Overall a lot of the characters in the Halo universe are definitely mix race but this shows that people still have a problem with race in today's world, if they get all disappointed because masterchief turned out to be white. Kinda pathetic actually. Halo: Combat Evolved came out November 15, 2001, the first book, Halo: The Fall of Reach came out October 30, 2001. In my world October comes before November, don't know about yours. Its amazing what a little research and reading can turn up.
  3. That was bungies big thing but this is 343s story now. Truthfully I think it gives a lot more to the character. I have read all the Halo books so you get a pretty good outline of what really the master chief looks like. Yet, you missed the fact he is discribed in the book. lol. So it more like playing a really good game with no image and then reading a book or waiting for the books story to play out in the game and ruining it. lol. bothered? you'll be more bothered with halo 5. 343 is planning the first cutscene too have masterchief nude. NUDE! They thought it would be artistic showing masterchief and all his glory but only the chest down. I'm sure they will put a warning with large letters saying "MALE NUDITY. But face not shown", So that you can enjoy the cutscene unless you start to compare...then you will be disappointed again.
  4. Yea, I got not idea if he is alive or dead but I agree with you. It was kinda a sucking way to end in terms of game play.
  5. You are fighting elites because the "NEW Covenant" has formed (Elites, Hunters, Jackels and grunts). Basically The Covenant break do to the prophets being fake, Elites (Sangheili) kill all the prophet race (San 'Shyuum) and the brutes basically run away out of the picture. Basically the elites don't know what to do, there whole lives as all warriors. That means no farmers, scientist, on and on. So in the end Part of the elites deside to believe in the gods and so so set out to find them (the ones you meet in Halo 4) while another group of elites led by the arbiter tries to rebuild the elite society. While anyone can enjoy Halo, the books really build the story and add more to the game. Highly recommend grabbing a few of the halo books. You will not be disappointed.
  6. Agree, That is what I did all through legendary campaign. Worked everytime and needlers are easy to come by.
  7. Wrote what? The ending? The "never thought I’d see you again"? Overall I disagree with that. Both sides of my family are military. A lot of my closes friend have been stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. I think halo 4's script is pretty good. Master Chief at the end is how he should be a battle scarred, hero that only wants comfort from someone he is close to. While Lasky has been pampered due to his mothers high rank and his own high rank and works things out differently due to his lack of harden combat. In the end I think Halo 4 hit the nail on the head. Out of the Special Ops guys I know, a Spartan fits them perfect. Anti-social for the most part and when grieving only wants comfort in their closes of friends. This is a problem for master chief because his only friend is now dead, and so are all the others he was close to (keys? Johnson?). In the end chief really didn't hear anything Lasky said except the last bit that only grabbed his ear because it was what Cortana had said, and that is what he is left with. I also liked the fact of him shedding his armor, at less for the time being. I once had an old black ops guy tell me that "it’s the people that consume themselves with this lifestyle that loose there soul or their mind and probably both in the end." Every warrior need to shed thier "armor" now and then or you forget who you really are. Sure its not "manly", but it is human.
  8. I'm currently playing through campaign on legendary and can confirm that Laskey recognize master chief. On first seeing master chief he says "I never though I would see you again" I really don't know where this part is. Where are you finding a Hammer?
  9. I do think Laskey recognize master chief, I mean he saved his life and spartans are famous, master chief is a legend. I think Laskey brought it up to point it out to master chief, maybe to see if he remembered and if he did maybe to remind him that he knows what its like to loose someone close. Overall no idea if the masterchief would remmember. Lots of war, lost of dead friends. I truthfully think the point was to show that he knows how the master chief feels. The closes person Laskey was too was Chyler, the closes person master chief was closes to was cortana. As for the Brute Gravity hammer, this is also only my opinion but if you read the books that take place after halo 3 you will see the covenant are all messed up. The elites are having to almost restart. Learning to repair stuff, make weapons and even grow food. In my view the hammer could easily have been taken just because it was a weapon. The elites hate using human weapons and the hammer may be more of a gray line. Also all covenant technology comes from forunner tech and so the hammer could be an original by the forunners before aboption by the covenant.
  10. In both the "VIP" and "Shootout in Valhalla" you get vehicles and while you can't really be killed by friendly fire your vehicles can. This makes for a crappy game, the first guy in the tank in VIP killed the other tanks giving him time to kill off as many enemies as he could, same happen in Shootout in Valhalla. I actually joined a party of three and during the mantis part, two of them shot enemies while one stayed back and killed my mantis over and over and over. So can 343 disable friendly fire on vehicles?
