No but put on explosives with resupply if you want to go grenade mad.. Grenadier is of no benefit imo as the use of the other 2 means endless grenades all of which cause more damage + the added perk of you taking a little less damage from others grenades.

Imagine that back to unplayable again this morn and considering its the quietest time of the day for playing hard to understand

Anything to improve the lag as for many i know at the moment it now exceeds that disaster called MW3, one of the things I loved about Halo more than anything else was free flowing mostly lag free gaming, in H3 I would know well before the end of a gun battle if i was going to be winner or loser it was that good. So to 343 learn a little lesson if it aint broke don't fix it!!! Also does anyone notice the lag getting worse, I have been playing from the release date and in the past few days (at a quiet time player numbers wise) I have had to quit games of BTB as it was unplayable. This did not happen when the servers were under most pressure strangely enough?? Also had the inconvenience of not being able to access the main servers one day, got thrown onto some back up thing, I have never really known anything like it tbh.

A great game being destroyed by bad preparation and ineptitude... Fix the bloody lag you useless excuse for a games company!!!! I do not want anything new have yet to really go through everything in the game but one thing is for sure I never will unless they do something for the lag its getting worse as time goes on indicating they are messing something up and continuing to do so.

Foreign to who??? I believe that I run off european based servers no??? So my loaction should not impact it never did in Halo 3!!! And I was under the understanding that 343 copied the Bungie server system so something is gone cracked somewhere along the line. Its not the lag its more the fact that it gets so bad that games collapse often when they are not far from over...

DMR at range is very good and will outdo the BR but at close quarters the Br is superior as long as the player with it does not remain motionless!! I use the BR all the time and I just avoid letting DMR players from having long range pot shots at me. The big difference is that they have reduced the usuable range of the BR as they had to have a reason for the DMR to exist. With the way the game has started playing out i.e. everyone keeping far apart and hiding around edges of maps the DMR has found itself being a top weapon, if they can bring out some more fast and furious lvl's then it will have no place as BR will eat it alive. It was a pity they had to make the BR worse just to accomodate it but both have their place and personally I have taken to using the light rifle long range instead of the DMR. I like others never played reach as they removed my favourite weapon in the game and replaced it with that abomination but in this game if they were to Nerf it they would make it redundant so you cannot really ask for that. One thing I will say is that the DMR appears to have a ridiculouss ability to destroy vehicles in comparison to other rifles. Anyone else noticing this??? If this is true they could definitley reduce its damage to vehicles as a few DMR's kill a banshee way too easily..

To be honest I can agree with almost all said by the author of this thread but unlike the author it does not annoy me as I expect it to be honest. Teammates not being teammates: Unfortunatley a lot of the kids playing have grown up on COD and this is the biggest problem here, they see an enemy and there auto reaction is to run away to place that provides more cover and wait for him rather than go attack. They fail to realise that 2 on 1 is garunteed victory unless you are useless and leave you stuck 1 on 1 or outnumbered. Objective games: Well this has always been a problem and all the excuses about support teamates is pure and utter bs. I play these game modes with friends and we destroy teams, we often all have negative ratios but on CTF we will win 5-1 and the highest killer (on either side) will only get 9 kills as the other teams are fools coming into a game to try for easy kills as they are not good enough for slayer. Careless Teammates: Well this is all over the game and something i hate is that 343 have allowed you to be pushed by your own teammates!! I hate it when a player pushes me causing me to lose sight or a finishing shot on a target or pushing me from cover and getting me killed. The other thing that is a problem is the amount of times teammates can betray you by running over you with vehicles and you do not get a chance to boot them (happens a lot in BTB). The booting option should be more readily available as then people will learn to watch where they are going (besides now you can boot someone and the game will replace them in a few seconds). Despite all the above its still fun which is always the aim of Halo.. try to build a group of online friends for objective games (for example in 3 I had a group I played griffball with, just met them all in the game mode) To the guy above raving at the author well I have to say what a load of bull you talk lol, Teams (real teams will always dominate in this game they have Regicide for those who cannot play as part of a team)

I had the same issue restarted my router a few times and left it for a while then I became one of the lucky ones back in the normal game, not sure if reseting helped or if i was just lucky. Give it a try and good luck.

servers are rubbish this happens to me on and off, some get screwed while others play away, my mate next door was playin fine when i could not connect then visa versa lol. You are one of the unlucky few they sacrifice for the masses SOMEONE PLEASE BRING BUNGIE BACK PLEASEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

The lag on Big team has become unplayable at this stage and its getting worse in team. Sad really to see a game that was getting going being slowly killed by its creators lack of interest in the issues I wonder how many people have gone off playing BO2 due to this constant farcicle rubbish, MAYBE I WILL JOIN THEM. Thanks for showing me what might have been 343 its a pity that with ye at the helm it never will be.

I have been playing this morning and the lag has been out of this world.... This has been a common problem one I accept can and will occur but today game after game in Big team has been crashing so no points despite most of a round played. I have tried a few other games to check it is not me and well they work fine. Any others hitting this problem?? Based in Ireland?? Any idea if the servers will be up and running properly soon, as yesterday I was demoted to what seems to be some kind of backup server where I was back to SR1 (very annoying) ^^^ Being aimed at any 343 rep who may have any news. forget all future updates just fix the lag honestly what a useless crowd they are the usual excuse of servers being overloaded is getting old honestly were you expecting it to be a flop????????????? Stupidity in itself working hard to bring out new stuff while ignoring basic problems

Have to agree teammates in this game are worse than i can remember, got a 29 kill streak in a few mins with the tank on exile (first life) only to find we were losing after i respawned how???? not sure lol. They often hide rather than help leading to them finishing off your hard work if you don't TBH its lost the old halo auto team but hopefully its just stupidity that can be knocked out of em.

The servers are naffed same happened to me yesterday and was playing on some kind of backup Apparently 343 are willing to let this kind of thing continue and spend there time on more stuff that will not work due to the current problems

simple solution is grow a set and play to get better stop moaning that you do not get noobs and learn from those who are beatin bits out of you. And for a man who does not care about KDR you sure go on about it a lot... Not having fun try some objective games or BTB honestly never have I ever heard the likes!!

I used to agree with all this and still do with some of it!! The issue with ordinance drops can be frustrating but yet can have a positive side aswell.. its is rare you get stuck on a bad team being dominated as someone eventually gets something that helps ye get out of the situation i.e. a spartan laser on valhalla. This is the good side of them, the bad side is that we have lost the epic and great battles at the start of a round for the power weapons (one of the best things about Halo 3). Also the unpredictability of them is annoying i.e playing Valhalla today I earned 3 of em and got rubbish (spped boost, needler, nades) which was no help on that map. The vehicles are just as deadly in the right hands you just have to change the way you use them, playing with friends we have had a lot of success with hogs as we know what we are doing now (learned through trial and error). All the long range weapons have created a more campy game which I dislike but seeing no real way that this will change i supppose we will just have to live with it (TOO MANY GOOD LONG RANGE STARTING PRIMARY WEAPONS) All in all the issues are annoying to start with but you get used to the changes and they are far less noticable the more you play so stick with it and hope for a classic playlist in the near future!!

Could not agree more!!! Loving the new game a lot but the ammo issue is serious and the lack of basic ammo say in Valhalla (Ragnarok) what happened to the BR's at the bases and around the centre??? I often run out of ammo see someone die go for his gun only to find it gone!! It can be annoying as you end up in no mans land having to camp till an enemy gets close or new weapons spawn (something I hate doing) or just run out and die!! Most weapons are predictable enough and the other places they spawn happen the same in each round, it just means you have to move to get them which is good IMO as I have noticed people have taken to camping by power weapon spawns i.e. the sniper in Ragnarok, the tank in Exile etc. which is a very *** COD attitude thats needs gettin rid of. But there should be more easily available primary weapon ammo either from set places or dead friends/foes.

Got to agree that the loss of the good old Halo 3 team slayer where everyone kicks off with an AR and it turns into a beat down mayhem has been lost. Maybe if they bring back the likes of guardian it may be revived, I am hoping that they will have some sort of classic playlist in the near future that will have preset weapons for all and we get back to the days of all out war just to get a power weapon (anyone remeber the fight for the rocket launcher on the pit??? Epic stuff) Still the game has changed so we must get used to it and all in all i have to say its been good so far plenty of pros and cons but none that will break the game for me..

Honestly this is not COD its Halo a game that I have loved for one reason 'the best player wins', sometimes thats me sometimes its not. I play on my own and with friends and I have a barely positive KDR but 1 on 1 in a BR fight I will win more than 50% of the time. I hate when players worry about dying without realising if the team push you can make life hell for your opponents (even if ya die a few times along the way). KDR should never come into this game I mean when I play with friends in objective games we generally win and often get negative ratios!!! WHO CARES!! If yoyu are getting beaten by others 1 on 1 then its time for you to get better not complain that you do not get a load of noobs. To be honest at lvl 49 (and just getting back into Halo having not played reach, hated that game for taking away my beloved BR) I am finding games easier than ever. I miss the days of Halo 3 when you were thrown up against a team of Generals and you had to fight like nothing else just to stay in the match, and when you won you felt awesome. Face it KDR means nothing in this game anyone can hide back and pick off while their team get smashed, truly good players get out that plasma pistol and go tank hunting. Sorry for the rant but in short if you were beaten they were better so time for you to improve..................
