^^ Very true but I was always of the impression that the best connection was selected as host, if not any idea why not?? And yes no need to go to somalia lol, my net connection is based on boosted signal down copper lines although I still get a consistent 8mb down. Now my mates elsewhere have not experienced lag when playing with me so it may be I never get selected as host or that my connection is ample for the job in hand!! So maybe they need to work on their host selection system, dedicated servers are expensive and at the end of the day the distance from the server you are playing on and the drain on it at the time would have a very similar effect to bad connections.

There have been a few instances where glitches have reulted in people not getting their armour or other unlocks in the game, they seem to be mostly localized issues. The best thing to do would be go to the waypoint forum and seek help there as there is little any member can do except state the obvious of reload the game from scratch etc.

I guess the campaign was a bit rushed and they put almost too much into it, the addition of the death of cortana was a bold move and one that in my opinion kind of worked (seemed to me like the first time the chief really faced failure), however the speed at which we were introduced to prometheans, the didact and the lack of background was a little disconcerting when considered afterwards, while playing I did not notice this as much. Also things like showing some of the chiefs face was a poor attempt to divert attention from all of this and a cheap trick to make the game memorable, anyone in europe who watches top gear will understand when I say it was like the stig coming out.. Mystery is mastery in the story telling world. All in all still a good campaign, not quite the standard of previous Halo games but still very good. I do hope that the rush of info was to allow for greater expansion in later installments.

I would say there is more chance now than ever as the game is going with more installments planned. It was sad to hear it was scrapped the first time and all rumours pointed at microsoft asking for more than any studio was willing to give. That said any studio would still have made money from it maybe not as much as they may have wished but still... Where there is money to be made there will be people interested. This was one of the first fan made things I saw when they were on about the movie it was pretty good all considered.

Hve to say the animation was great covies looked good and the pelican, human soldiers looked like they were out for a day of paintballing lol.

Well considering that the first guns were ballistic weapons and we still use the same basic principle today i have to say I would not be surprised to see tham in 500 yrs. Its only if armour became too strong for such a gun type that it would need to evolve and in the Halo universe the armour is not too strong. They were also deadly at killing flood!! Also improved ammunition for a ballistic weapon is like a whole new weapon in its own right. I guess thats where their focus lay.

I can only imagine a scorpion would eat a mantis if they faced off, its more accurate and has a faster fire rate, the mantis may be manouverable but its not quick enough to escape a tank shell. I like the mantis addition and with engineer it is quite tough. maybe we will have them in the same map in the future!!

Yeah I have to agree that 343 missed out on a chance to bring some brand new vehicles to the game. I mean all the additions of enemies have traditionally brought new ones (except flood of course), there are so many crazy vehicles that could have been used, imagine a promethean version of the gauss with an incineration cannon on it!!! That way we could have covy/premethean vehicles vs. unsc ones on big maps!!!

Yeah the LR is definitley a long range weapon first and foremost, it good for say sitting on the hill in ragnarok and just hitting enemies from afar, that said however it is very annoying how fast it eats ammo!! maybe more ammo would be nice but thats the only improvement I would make.

Just bring back brute shot style weapons, they do a bit more melee damage and are still very useable guns... I wish they had never removed them although I know there are no brutes in the game so see the reasoning.

I think at this stage it is undenaiable that the DMR is better than the other 2 guns but having really thought about this the only logical fix without upsetting the rest of balancing between weapons is the reduction in fir rate, it would maintain long range supremacy but make it weaker in CQC, also it would be the easiest fix for 343 to implement should they decide to do so.

I just want the original chiefs armour, all I have done to date is change the colour and visor look, made him a dark warrior.. Still if you change one thing you need to change others to make it all fit so more a case of all than 1 thing unless you are keeping it minimalistic.

The whole lag issue is now a side effect of FPS in almost all of these types of games.. One of my mates has 70mb fibre and he gets lag which is a bit odd, I am sure there is something that can be done to help it out as it seems to be the same for me on 8mb copper as it was for him. I guess its another fix for the company to look at in future.

Have to say the grenade practice looks pretty cool, nice map and idea..

Just played it a while ago and yes once again, very bad spawns for SWAT, spawn deaths like no other map in Halo. Maybe changing the spawns would help but even with that I do not think it will be enough, CTF is too one sided due to layout, I suppose not all maps will be great but their attempt at a bigger team slayer map did not really work. What happened to lvl's like the pit where all is fair on both sides?

First off got it yesterday!!! and already here complaining lol.. Next yes 343 made some mad changes that have annoyed nay incencensed many, loadouts, instant respawn, ordinance drops, perks are in many peoples opinions robs from CoD. These are in it and in my opinion make it worse. As for the game modes well team snipes is out on monday so you will have that then. They released the game unfinished, for example few game modes, many broken ones (snipes for example was there but was taken away to be fixed), ranking system not ready (been promising this from the start). And this left them with a problem they are spending all their time finishing the basic (planned for release stuff) that they have yet to get to adding more features. Recently they have added team doubles, griffball and on monday they add snipes and a mini action sack version. So they are now adding things and hopefully will keep doing so, the new additions to the game are there and have killed off the old competitive/aggressive spirit. They designed it to make noobs happy but if they carry through on what they claim to be planning there will be game modes without these features. As for reach well it was just rubbish, nothing to do with skill or practice it was an inferior game much along the lines of this. Having played no more than a few weeks at the start I can still go on reach and get positive so its not exactly hard, just poor.

My only thought is will they add stuff after people reach 130, say new challenges for new armour and stances, would be nice if they did just something more to work on, with SR130 coming up soon and most of the challenges I will actually complete done I find myself waiting for the ranking system in april as my next challenge. Oh and no plans to do say forerunner weapons mastery mostly due to pulse grenades (to much time and effort for 1 thing)

Actually they do work for all on the console, I do not have a the DLC downloaded but my mates do and when I play on their consoles with them (under my own gamertag) I am able to play the DLC content. I am not sure what the issue is but even without the family Gold membership it should work for all accounts as long as the primary acc. is playing at the time. Otherwise I guess they are playing when your acc. is not active in which case I do not think it will work for them and the Live membership is a microsoft product it has no baring on 343 products. I had the DLC but found it poor so never bothered getting it after the free DL period (or should I say the lie to cover their arses period)

Go to recent downloads and redownload them from there, I had the same issue when I switched xbox and this worked fine. Hope that helps.

Haha I guess you were my alter ego so lol... As for the OP well they had planned to make one and have a script out there.. It was intended to be made but due to disagreements between microsoft and studios District 9 was made instead. Since then the script has been changed and picked up and dropped by a few studios as there is something about microsoft wanting X amount of money in advance of making as well as royalties. It is a case of too much expense for not enough return, that said with the new series of halo games now going it may be possible to get it made as fan interest is up. Who knows hope for the best, there is a cool 10 min clip on youtube of a fan made thing that people claimed was the first 10 mins of the movie however.
