  1. From what I've attempted to decipher... I believe that I agree with this statement. Still not quite sure though...
  2. Yeah I wish you were having a better experience :/ I get the nostalgia angle back to Halo 3. It was a fantastic game. I've had pretty good experiences with this game so far... maybe it's because I play with my friends... feel free to add me on Xbox Live if you ever get bored and want to game it up with someone who will actually talk **** with you instead of at you
  3. Which is exactly what I do (and it's what I was apparently criticized for...) especially for objective games. Get in a group with a few people you know and you'll have a much better time.
  4. What's your reasoning behind it? Just curious. I like to hear peoples' opinions on the game.
  5. Which they don't. Bungie found that out the hard way. If you make the penalty too harsh, people get pissed because they need to leave for legitimate reasons. If the penalty is too shallow, it's laughable and no-one cares. I just can't see finding a balance yet.
  6. Maybe a public shoutbox and one for Trusted Members and above (or a SB that is invite only, like the OP said). That'd be awesome... it gets depressing seeing people get in ******** matches over this stuff.
  7. I love this! I could care less if the cap is at 50 or 150. Halo is Halo, and it's always been fun and it still is. I don't want to be rude, and that's not the objective, but for myself I don't understand the people who, once they hit cap, they are "done playing". I've always loved Halo for the gameplay, but also for the social aspect of it. I can understand that when people hit cap that some incentive is gone to play the game. It makes sense, it's just now how I tend to do things. Anyway, this exactly what I've been trying to say to people... I just didn't know how to say it.
  8. Sometimes I do, but all in all I'm just happy that my team got the kill. I think that any real player doesn't just compare K/D ratio, but they also should look at the assists. From personal experience, the way to play Halo is that as soon as you see someone, you put shots on them even if it doesn't kill them (or come close). The damage stays with them and it gives a potential advantage for one of your teammates. Yes assists get annoying, but in order to really measure skill I think you need to look a lot at the assist portion of someone's playstyle. So I'm sort-of agreeing with you
  9. You're all right. It was a stupid way to handle the dealing out of codes. That being said, the game is still fantastic. In regards to the OP, go and check the Halo Waypoint forums. 343 has a presence on there and you'll probably get more hard evidence there as well.
  10. So the situation is that you both have a Gold-enabled account, and you are split-screening co-op? I'm assuming you've already installed disc two onto the Xbox.
  11. I can't give you anything definitive, but definitely go to the official Halo Waypoint forums and make your problem known. I'd say that you're much more likely to find an answer there because 343 doesn't frequent this site as this is just the community forums. Good luck on the hunt though
  12. Obviously lag is always an issue, no one is every one-hundred percent lag-free all of the time. That being said, I haven't had many issues with lag. The framerate drops sometimes when I'm playing splitscreen, but I've played about 150 matches and I've seldom run into a case of prolonged, game-breaking lag. Maybe I'm a lucky one though...
  13. This is the reason why SO's are so frustrating. Are you seriously that desperate to see that little number by your name go up by one that you'd break the game for other people? People do just as well by actually playing the game, and guess what? They have fun, and they make the game fun for others. That's what community is about.
  14. I can almost guarantee you that it wouldn't be selected. Ever. And let's just calm down here everyone. The boltshot is a debated topic, but it doesn't need to get personal...
  15. I'm not quite sure why you think it's half-done. The game is fantastic already. SO's work well, the campaign is gorgeous, and the matchmaking maps are polished. Some tweaking needs to be done, but that's the case on lots of games, especially the games in which it's the companies first release... ever.
  16. 343 has to go through the motions though. This is their first release of a game... they've gotta get all the kinks worked out. I can wait a month before lots of permanent playlists get created.
  17. Is their first release of a game. 343 love Halo and the community. I guarantee that they are working on solutions to every problem that has been brought to their attention. You should give them some time before rushing to judge.
  18. It's not though! In my experience, an overcharge of the Boltshot takes down shield. This is exactly the same as the Plasma Pistol, yet no one brings anything up about it.
  19. First off, the Boltshot is a one-shot shield drop 99% of the time. Second, the only way it's effective at all is if you charge it. If you just fire primary fire, you have to land every shot to take their shields down. Also, it's only effective just outside of melee range. And I can guarantee you if the Boltshot becomes an ordinance drop, it will never get selected. Ever.
  20. They always have a rotation in. When they find out what the most popular playlists are, they'll make them permanent for sure. At least, that's how it usually goes...
  21. It's only been a few weeks. They've definitely got a lot on their plate. I can almost guarantee that it will be coming very soon because a lot of people have asked for it. Make sure to go to the official Halo Waypoint forums to make sure that 343 hears your voice. I love me some Team Doubles.
  22. Battle Rifle, purely for nostalgia.
