  1. MLG is just a label.. Competitive players will make the switch to AGL smoothly, I'm sure. So, don't make it a bigger deal than it is. Halo will have it's competitions one way or another.
  2. Hit me up with an invite and I'll try out or whatever.. If your team is actually legit, I'm sure I would fit in just fine.
  3. I sure hope that the competition increases soon..
  4. I'm not positive but I'm sure they do.. I've heard it is similar (if not the same) to MLG settings.
  5. That's what I meant by "true skill" but no "number rank". We just won't know our rank because it is pretty much hidden from us.
  6. So the rumor is, if I'm not mistaken, that AGL (Arena Gaming League) will replace MLG on Halo 4. From what I understand, it is just as competitive and should fit in quite smoothly for the more competitive players. I'm a huge MLG fan but that's only because I'm very competitive, so AGL will fit in nicely for me as well. That being said, this playlist should give Halo 4 the boost it needs to become exciting again at least in a competitive light. I do have some concerns. I've heard that it will be true skill based meaning if you do well you play better people on your skill level. However, the number ranking system seems to scare Halo to death nowadays and will NOT be returning for competitive Halo. So I guess we competitive players get mostly what we've wanted.. Although I, and most MLG players, will be sceptical playing true skill with no number ranking system.
  7. Halo 4 is a great game (certainly better than Reach) and its sad to see MLG go, but I feel that all the hate towards MLG players is unnecessary. You all say you hate it when an MLG player gets too serious and calls a player a "noob" or something of the sort. Then why not support a separate playlist for those people? Then competitive players get some actual competition and casual players get their laid back matches AND the best part is they don't have to worry about running in to each other..
  8. Not a single statement here that I disagree with. Halo really has catered to the recreational player on this one.. Money-wise, it makes since. Why waste money for more servers when all the money from game sales has been made? But I think it will hurt them in the end.. Losing all competitive Halo players will be a huge downfall. Also, I see a lot of negative comments from non MLG players.. Why are you here? Is your life so dull that you not only have time to search a forum for places to comment, but you even search in places you know nothing about.. Get a life.. I'm sure you enjoy playing out of leisure, but that's you. Some players are competitive.. I'm sure most of you MLG haters have had moments when you became frustrated with a terrible team you were paired up with OR something lame happening (like captain boltshot noob camping around a corner). Now, all you have to do is imagine that this is how WE feel ALL THE TIME...sometimes when we're paired with players like YOU.
  9. I hope so too...but it doesn't look like it.. and I guess my post gets merged with some other guy's for some reason >.>
  10. According to MLG Sundance on twitter (@MLGSundance), MLG has signed a deal with a shooter already for 2013 and it is NOT Halo. "MLG signed it's side of the console shooter deal for 2013. The game in the deal was not Halo. Once deal is countersigned we will announce." To me, and almost every competitive Halo player, this might as well be the announcement of the death of a game with lots of potential that will never be tapped into. 343 has left tons of other clues that MLG won't happen: 1) The Infinity Challenge is signed by Virgin Gaming in which the contract limits Halo to only that company's playlist for as long as it is around. 2) I also noticed that after Christmas the price of new Halo 4 games went down to $40 which is abnormal for the 4th most popular game in the market. To me, that meant that they made their profit between the release and Christmas and plan to just get rid of the copies still in circulation. 3) Also note, that after Christmas we lost all the competitive playlists. This means less servers 343 has to pay for leading to more profit. Overall, I think 343 has already given up on this game. It made profit and now is their time to stop wasting money on the nonprofitable servers they keep up. That's why the games are always lagging. That's why all the playlists are gone. And that is why MLG will not be signed with. P.s. If you're one of those people that detest MLG and hope to post a comment stating how much you do not care, please refrain.. In fact, leave this section of the forum.. It makes no sense for non-MLG fans to exist in the MLG section. Also, if you have any negative comments about my post, please refrain, as I will not be acknowledging them as comments. I only want to see mature agreeing/disagreeing comments below.
  11. I don't think it was a smart move to remove all playlists that give the "experienced" players their comfort zone. I've seen almost my entire friend's list (even the die-hard Halo fans) switch to CoD. I still play Halo because I've manage to find a few players that run MLG customs all day but even they seem to be making the switch. You can't take the competitive aspects out of video game. First our visual number ranking system was stripped from us in Reach unlike H2 and H3 ran (which were 2 successful games btw); then the BR was nerfed to 5 shots rather than 4 making the DMR an obviously better gun.. and now this. No MLG. No slayer pro. No team snipers. All the competition is gone.. The game will die just like Reach.. I don't know what 343 is doing but it's as if they want us to stop playing.
