I'm with you on this one. Logic derived from the past and present mindset of the current generations of gamers, dictates that giving players an easier method to obtain their games rather than wait in lines and go out to the nearest stores should be a well recieved idea. I still don't understand all the rage for needing a physical copy. Having the digital copy and the license attached to your GT adn console is exactly the same as having the physical disc. either way, the game is NOT played from the disc and installed to the HDD. The only value that adding a physical disc does, is allow people to trade it in and get money for it, and still be able to play the game. By that logical marketing decision, they might as well charge an extra $10-$20 for the LE so the gamers that DO trade or try to make monery off this stuff...... don't.

Halo 2 did NOT start Xbox Live, that service was not dependent on Halo 2 and was incorporated long before H2 was released. Second, MCC is a compilation of 4 Halo games plus ODST, the expected wait time and fragmentation for the community is expected. Was it at all a thought, that trying to find a single match across all titles would be easy? You have to realize that everybody who plays MCC is NOT playing the same game or in the same lobby. The community has been fragmented beyond belief by MCC. Before MCC the only worry was hoping that enough players were playing each single game to find a good match. MCC negates needing to use indivual discs or swap them out to play. But yes it does have issues beyond the player fragmentation and I cannot excuse that in any way. But comparing a single game like Battlefield to MCC which is 4 GAMES IN ONE is not at all a fair comparison. If there is a particular game that you would rather play, your best bet is to wait for backwards compatibility to kick in and be released for the Halo games individually.

Halo CE can be downloaded from various torrents sites and a handfull of Halo themed sites. As far as I knkw, Halo CE for PC is no longer available for purchase anywhere. Whatever you do, don't lose that key! I will mention before someone comes in here.... Halo CE is classified as abandonware now more or less. There is no longer any support, and there is no retail outlet for it. As long as you have your original key to prove ownership, you can LEGALLY download a copy from any source. If noone posts up information on a legit spy-ware free download, I would be happy to host it on my personally server for you. Let me know and I'll pm you a link.

I ised to play nothing but Action Sack on Reach. It was my favorite playlist and still is. Great variety is usually found in it.

We are not the official site for 343 Industries, we are a fan forum. If you want to praise the great expereince you have had and ask for it to be added to H5 in the future as a posibility, you should post this over at Halowaypoint.

I won't get into details.. All I want you to look at is the UI. Have you ever tried to change teams in a custom game? Press x to go to roster (that functions and populated about once a week), select yourself, then change team? Lol. Lolol. Gawd. Was this someone's senior project? Is it a prank? How about how in CE where the in-game controller diagram shows what the boxer config was meant to be and whit it should be (for h2 too btw).. But it's not that way in game? Yeah, my RB should switch grenade type. That's useful! Creating a Universal UI to tie in 5 seperate games into one is not an easy task. Yes they very well could have had a seperate sub UI for each title to make each one feel like the original, but they chose not to. They instead attempted to bring something fresh to the table. You say you don't want to go into detail....that's a cop-oit for someone who has no experience designing or implimenting an UI. Please...tell me about language strings, widgets and unicode. Let's see how mich you can do before blathering about something you cleary do not u derstand in concept or actuality Furthermore because the games are utilizing emulation, variant engines side by side, there had to be a universal settings and sub menu sysyem in place as well. But I'm sure you know this, since you know.....you so uber schooled in the Blam! and Sabre3D engines.... Have you ever tried to download a custom game type or map? Very little communication. But they're leaving it behind because they either can't fix it or can't justify spending the $ on doing so...and doing right by their once dedicated fanbase for once in their short existence. Because they know the idiot fanboys will still buy h5 this year. 343/m$ has killed halo. This forum is a ghost town compared to what it should be; same for the subreddit and LFG sites. Hit detection in all titles from CE through 3 had a slight lead depending on the type of gameplay, ex: Solo or Multiplayer. But you know that already because your a total beast MLG Pro know-it-all right? Is that the right genre to place you in? ANYONE with half a brain and even a sliver of sense knows that Halo has always had a slight leading time when firing shots. Weapons are not Hitscan, they are imitation hitscan, hence the leading. H5, no split screen. No LAN parties? I gotta buy another XBOne and two copies of the game just to play w my gf? Cancel your h5 preorders, kids. Only buy the game used. Do not give 343 anymore money. It hurts the industry as a whole and especially XBOne owners by encouraging this type of business practice. Look at their track record: two broken, rushed, corner cutting games released my an inept developer and a money hungry corporation. Split Screen is the only bummer feature left of Halo 5, and quite frankly it isn'5 a large enough deal breaker. The amount of ACTUAL gamers who still use LAN and host parties is in the 0.5%. 343 and Microsoft are hirtoing the industry how exactly? If your gonna shoot off about things of this nature, it is usually a good idea to back them up with solid business model examples about how it is true and why. All I see is a silly little kid, screaming trying to spound grown up, important and intelligent. None of which you are doing well mind you.

the ai dont have seperate command structures based on the gametype or game variant. AI are controlled by a simple process in the similar style tag. It alone dictates ai behavior according to probability, weapon usage and situation. That being said, Warzone is also likely a "single_player" variant that ises multiple teàms to define player sides, unlike actual multiplayer modes. What people still fail to realize is that AI doesnt properly sync or work in multiplayer because the game runs two seperate engines. one for campaign, firefight/Spartan Ops and now Warzone, and one seperately for actual matchmaking multiplayer.

Not quite sure what the real point of this thread is. Discussing older Forge problems does nothing and has no relivance to Halo 5, as all major production and content is now finalized. The following 1.5 months will be bug squashing, update prep and finalizing the RTM Discs. After what, almost 9, years now you would figure that most people understand why a budget is in place, or at the very least watched enough dev documentaries to undedstand Elementary level mechanics. No limitng creativity is never a good thng, bt the length people go to describe how much real creativity and "map making" Forge users is laughable. Yeah I'm a snob with that sort of thing. Placing pre-made items on a pre-made map level is hardly what I would call map making. I create things from scratch and bring them to life and have been doing so since CE. Maybe it's just experience that allows me to better understand why things are limited or just the way they are. My solution to your prkblem is simple, learn how the mechanics and engine really work and why, then try asking some legitimate questions or opinikns that are not based off lack of undedstanding or simple rantings of a player who wants x,y and z with no realizatikn or expectatikns of what needs fo happen to allow it.
