  1. I seem to recall the same claims when Halo 4 was near launch. Of coarse everyone thinks it's what the community wants based on what they were shown or what they were selectively allowed to play. Everything that I have seen up to this point, can't say I find anything that even remotely looks like Halo anymore. Again...the reason why I won't play Halo anymore. It's gotten way to complicated when it didn't need to be. It got way to advanced and morphed into something it didn't need to be. Again, for all the flack and crap people like to gove CoD...it STILL OUT SELLS HALO!!!!! CoD does integration of new things correclty. You can't argue the proof in the sales and matchmaking numbers. Honestly I just don't personally like anything about Halo past Reach. I don't expect anyone to agree with my point of view or personal taste. You could show me a million things about Halo 5. You could show me a PC version with an HEK and I still wouldn't touch it.
  2. Bacon you missed the point. No components to assist in this way would fit inside the suit. I don't really casre what lore dsyas, show me some schematics to prove the size/stength of the compnents. Spartan, Titanium Alloy does come in grades yes. Which grade is being used...likely 5. The lesser grades of "Titanium" are non alloyed, hence the Titanium name and not the full name of Titanium Alloy, which is comprised exactly as I emntioned above. Further, even if the helmet was the only Titanium Alloy piece and the rest was another unknown metal, the wearer would NOT be protected by the thermal bleed through from the helmet and their head would literally burn up into ash during space jumps. The bone thing in the lore is completely fiction. The entire process they describe is NOT possible in any manner as oscification ends when you are done growing. most oscification ends at around 19 years of age. Oscification of childrens bones, would result in the child spartan not growing at all. Even so, the porcelain hybrid they use is on the INSIDE of the bone. This does nothing for ligiments or tendons and can and will result in the bone fragments that surround the cmpound, shattering completely with no hope of growing back or healing. Further, it would still result in the Spartan being suseptible to infection and internal injutry. Either way you slice it, Halo is a far far cry from real science and anything real in terms of physics, biology or technology. But then again, people seem to take it way to far and pretend or forget, that this is a GMAE and isn't real life and in the end doesn't matter. End rant...
  3. Scoping gives the player a longer and tighter range. That mechanic is already confirmed. As fir actual aim....noone can aim. Most players are pray and spray anyway who cant keep up a 50% hit accuracy. The point is Caboose, I work 60+ hours a week. what chance do i have to really unlock the extra upgrade weapons in a reasonable amount of time? THIS is exactly why I stopped playing Halo. The gsme rewards time spent in excess to gain the unlockabkes rather than just plain old basic weapon sets from the go. Again, Halo 5 is NOT, I repeat NOT an arena shooter. It is the furthest thing from it.
  4. I understand that you can unlock them in-game regardless...but they have been very vague on how to unlock them or what the cost/requirements will be. That is the part that worries me about it. For all we know, it could take you months of grinding to unlock a certain weapon.
  5. Titanium by itself is the highest hardness to density ratio of all metals. Titanium is already a "thing", silly kids. Titanium is comprised of 6% aluminium, 4% vanadium, 0.25% (maximum) iron, 0.2% (maximum) oxygen. Titanium Alloy is the highest Grade of Titanium available for use. Even in the future, Titanium cannot be readily mixed with other elements easily, so it is logical to assume that the same alloy used here is the same Titanium Alloy we have now. Now here is the tricky part.....the power suit or enhanced biology of the Spartans. To create the armor at a standard 1.5 inch thickness, it would require likely a total of 60+ x 72+ cubic inches of Titanium Alloy. This alloy in this estimate would weigh roughly 1,500 lbs. Even by superhuman genetic standards and the small parts we are to believe are the "power assisted" components...still means that the suit itself would produce a solid additional 700+ lbs. on the wearer. Sorry....but I can't buy into that. Even Arnold at the peak of his physical ability, would not be able to wear a suit of 700lb armor and jump around and do acrobatics like Spartans do. The sheer strength alone to move the other 700lbs would simply not fit into a suit at the small size we are to believe they are. Furthermore, looking at the melting temperature and elemental effects on Titanium from orbit drops, all of the suit would burn up or react with Nitrogen and Oxygen while free falling through the atmosphere at the standard 1650 Celsius mark. At 1668 the Titanium would liquefy, at 1350 the suit would begin to oxidize and corrode from the oxygen and nitrogen in the atmosphere. If anything survived at all, roughly maybe 200-300 lbs. of the suit would remain. Next let's look at this temperature. 1650 degrees Celsius!!!!!!! There is no amount of liquid viscous or thermally inductive enough to provide any residual thermal bleed through from the Titanium. The wearer of the Spartan armor, regardless of gel layer would feel temperatures of at least 500 Celsius through the suit and cooling layer. As we all know...humans can only withstand 57 degrees Celsius but if we stay hydrated. Even humans who have been altered can only theoretically withstand maybe twice that amount. The key id hydration. In a suit that is reaching 500 degrees +...not even that small suit could provide enough hydration or cooling to stop the body or wearer from drying out and dying.
  6. Can you confirm that these weapons are "warzone" only? And even if it is Warzone only, you can't just assume that enough people preorder to NOT make it fair or unbalanced.
  7. Halo 5: Guardians Should have called it Halo 5 Online: Crapians..... just sayin

The pun was horrible but I do agree, Halo 5: Guardians, doesn't even look like Halo anymore.

I only wanted Flood. But one day, A few Years time from now, They will return. And we will all sing Victory Everlasting.

  8. I'm shocked that no one is flipping their lid over performance enhancements in gameplay. The fact that certain preorders give a player a more powerfull or more responsive weapon out of the gate kibd of negates the "arena style" gameplay that 343i has been toughting and quite obviously does not understand. This is looking more and more like the f2p Halo Online weapon set everyday. And no that is NOT a good thing. Whats next? Weapon rentals for Cr???
  9. Halo DOES need to keep splitscreen, but as Caboose and I pointed out numerous times, development is done. The last few months are all stability and bug testing. That being said 343 isnt really to blame. Gamers have been literally crying and crapping their pants over wanting 60fps gameplay...which is just silly to begin with for numerous reason I will not go into at this time. Since software development has yet to fully realize and harness the hardware potential, it just isnt feesable to have everything run in co-op splitscreen and hit that all unimportant 60fps. If the community wants to blame someone for co-op splitscreen not being included....you all need to take a good long look in the mirror #Truth
  10. Congrats Yang Xiao MoM!!!! Another fantastic long overdue MoM selection. You truly deserve this buddy!!!
  11. No clue broski. You'll have to fill me in a bit. My memory aint what it used to be. But welcome back I guess?
  12. Pfffff only 3 years? Get on mah levelz...come at me BRO!!! Seriously man congrats! Doesn't seem like 3 years went by but I do know the site would not have been the same without you here. Heres to another 3 years!!!
  13. Just need to throw this out there since a lot pf people are either misinformed or have no clue about how technology works. Going from 30fps to 60fps is only a huge difference in terms of framerate alone. Graphics are not inhiboted by fps. What is inhibited by fps is the smoothness we see in motion. For example, running Crysis 3 on either 30 or 60 fps yields no visible difference as the game engine already has and includes motion blur to smooth oit the framerate difference. Halo is also another game that employs the same technique. The only difference you see in Halo 4 going from Xbox 360 to Xbox One is a marginal amount of smoothness. That aside, the games look and play identical at slow to medium pace or at complete standstill. Also keep in mind that every television is different and even if a game is running at 60fps, you may need to change the refresh settings to even get the full 60fps displayed correctly. All that being said, 60fps only really means that game developers no longer need to use motion blur during gameplay. The whole "we are cutting out co-op because of drop of framerate" is simply a BS statement. Other developers on multiple engines can have motion blir kick in when framerates drop, like the drop in co-op. There is actually no reason to cut it other than simply trying to sell more hardware and software to force players to use multiple consoles and discs.

  17. I was ok with all of this until I read that you hate cats. Care to explain why?
  18. I only thoight and took it so directly because of the wording yes. Thank you for clearing thàt up. The only thing I disagree with is that I AM upfront about everuthing. Sometimes the way I come across with my directness can be percieved as abusive but is normally not intended. You know I never pull punches and speak candidly...for that I get a hot/cold reaction. More specifically yes I often fall victim to giving people the reaction they want. As you pointed out, it's something I wo4ked on and improved. Sadly I will always in some part be ruled by my emotions and fall from time to time to my anger. But I guess I mist also make it clear that I really don't wish any ill will to anyone or this community. It's one of my biggest outlets persoñally and I would do anything to keep it alive and well.

  20. I will say that from what I read, it seems that the community will be getting enough new features to keep them busy. The destructable objects thing in particular is intruiging. I have always thought adding walls, pillars, doors or other objects with a "health" and destruction permutation would add a very interesting twist to multiplayer. Similar to how Ghosts did it with the cam0aign and multiplayer aspect.
  21. If your not my pal....why would I want to join? I'm just kiddin man, I think it's great that we are getting more members serious about hosting matches. One quick piece of advice, if you can, try to use the shoutbox and status update feature to get more attention. It's a great way to reach a larger audience!
  22. You must not have been here since the beginning. The things I know and the things I have seen...oh boy! As for the "uneasy" and "uncomfortable"... that is life dude. The internet is not a safe haven, nor should it be made into one. In real life you will always have to deal with people who communicate in a manner different from your own. My put downs in particular are ALWAYS in response to the pesky two faced passive aggressive members who like to stir up and cause emotional responses. Perhaps if more people were completely honest and upfront, I wouldn't have to resort to that methodology sometimes to get a point across or put someone in their place that deserves ot. Remember, just because someone else in the shoutbox or forum doesnt see a problem with a comment or post, doesnt mean that I didnt take offense or get bothered by it. It's all purely subjective and personal perspective. That is something you can rule or make a guideline for.
  23. Let me correct my earloer response to be more clear. Do I think that skulls of all variety are a good thing and add a lot of replay fun? Oh heck yes!!! Do I think skulls such as Bandana should be freely unlockable WITHOUT first completing a game on Legendary...Heck No!!!
  24. Matches the criteria? That is also a "personal view" as well. My standards are much more different in terms of what is contributed as well as my standard for intelligence. But you are right about one thing, I am strictly ypfront with EVERYONE about everything. I concider that a good thing since sites tend to bread the drama we all go through in High School. And no, this site is no exception. To think otherwise would be illogical and ignoring reality. Actually in hindsight I feel as though I need to address something and make a few things perfectly clear. When I originally posted my response to this new change, it seems certain people got their jimmies ruffled and misunderstood. I was only using myself as an example in the scenarios above. Sometimes the only way for me to try to get a point accross is to use an example or instance that everyone can relate to plainly without any misunderstanding. Guess I failed....oh well. The next point I want to correct is what I think many members are thinking. For the record, I HAVE NEVER WANTED OR DESIRED A STAFF OR MOD POSITION! I have been offered it before and turned it down. I did not turn it down due to some inability to tone myself down or behave or any other reason. I turned it down simply because I did not have the time to perform the duties, and in all honesty I did not see any contribution I could make that I don't already. Staff and Mod are simple positions. They don't inherintly make you superior in any other way in terms of worth on this site. I think a lot of staff and mods get this confused and tend to paint their siblings in a higher light. I don't need a title or a color to tell me who are the top 5% of this site or who is a good member. All I need is actual communication and posts to read to see it. Just like this LEGENDARY status...I don't need a gold name to prove my worth or show others...cause I already know and so do others...who is already Legendary around here.
  25. Excellent art work right there. We really do need a specific forum corner where we can post up some art from all mediums. I would be very interested to see what our community members are capable of.
