Lulz what? Clear your MAC Address?!? Do you even know what a MAC is? It's not something you can clear, nor will it help with downloading issues. I believe what you may have been trying to say, is to clear the "cache" and see if that helps. As for the above downloading issues, thats all network related. Download servers specific to your area may have high traffic, or it could be sporadic usage widespread across your ISP grid or home network.

Framerate really doesnt matter so long as its kept above 30. You can argue resolution and framerate all you want, but the noticable differeñce 30 and 60 is not as easy to see or get all worked up about. For example, I can show you Halo CE and Halo 2 running on PC at 60fps in 1060i and then show you a side comparison of its Xbox counterparts. Very very little difference if any. Also, please stop shouting about how Xbox One has better hardware so it should do this or do that. All that power means nothing if software can't utilize it. That would be like going back in time to 1995 and handing a GTX Titan to a developer, but not being able to understand why he can't program 3d rendering to look like say.. Halo Reach.

It's not so much as balance as it is about "do the vehicles fit inside the map and work with the gameplay flow". Balancing would only be an issue in terms of actual gun damage for the vehicles, or the damage of personnel fire on vehicles. Look at most of the maps besides Forgeworld for Halo Reach and the maybe 1-3 maps in Halo 4 that were larger than Coagulation. Vehicles of the Phantom/Pelican type would not fit nicely into the maps nor would they really enhance the gameplay. Unless Halo 5 has a ton of sprawling maps the size of BF3 ones...they would not be usable to the extent players want. Aside from that, the coding is still not anywhere near the harnessed level the console hardware will be 5 years from now. I highly doubt the engine will run LOD's and map sizes the size needed to incorporate large gameplay environments that would fit these vehicles purpose.

Warzone, the perfect chance for Elites vs Spartans
Twinreaper replied to Delko Elite's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
I'm gonna start off by saying this. I can understand how someone who prefers Elites can get upset about them not being officially playable in halo 5. Now onto the goods. First off, again a thread like this tries to imply a "racial" discrimination and player separation. Elites are not real people nor are they a species. Implying discrimination is just taking the game way to seriously and overlooking things as objective and logically. Second, Halo 4 was the FIRST title to not allow you to play as an Elite in any capacity. Halo 2 through Halo Reach had you able to use Elites in specific gametypes, custom games and in the latter titles, always. It's not as if the Elites were removed from the games altogether. Every time i see you speak about them, you talk as if we have gone many games without them. hate to burst the bubble with logic...but the amount of actual players who absolutely cannot stand playing as a Spartan are obviously in the minority. Sometimes you need to remove emotion from your thought process to reach a logical conclusion on some things. Getting worked up the way you do helps none, and clouds reality. Third, let's take an objective look at the Elite character and the purpose therein in the subsequent halo titles. Halo 1-Reach focuses on Humanities war with the Covenant. The Covenant and Sangehli in particular are the foremost warriors in all the titles, except in halo 3 where the Brutes rise to their level of importance and the Elites fall. The point is, Elites were playable based on the scenarios and theme of Halo 1-Reach. Halo 4 is the beginning of the Reclaimer Trilogy. The Covenant are no longer at war with Humanity as Humanity is now at war with the Forerunners. Since the Elites are now nothing more than greatly represented as "Political Opponents", there is no reason for Spartans and Elites to be featured as savage enemies in any type of Multiplayer Wargame or otherwise. If anything, a Forerunner character should be taking their place. The reason why Spartans are featured so dominantly in halo 4 is two fold logically. .. 1. Spartan IV's were created to preserve Humanities dominance following the Covenant WAR. Therefore Spartan's are featured since they are "defending" humanity against the Forerunner threat. 2. Since there was no player model for a Forerunner of comparable size beyond the Didact, that is probably a logical reason why no other species was brought into it. Yes Elites are present in Halo 4, but only as a supporting role. The real featured threat is the Didact and his Forerunner army. Suffice to say, I wouldn't plan on seeing Elites as major multiplayer enemies any time soon in the new themed trilogy. Is it sad that they are not in there...yes. But it's also sad that other species are not in there either. At the end of the day, you need to be more understanding yourself, about what other players might want besides you. -
Your language discredits any real argument you have. What further discredits your opinion is the fact thàt all Halo 3 AI has always lacked severely and behaved irratocally. They are all horribly programmed with even more atrocious style coding. They are horrible drivers, will often die just standing there in place shooting and missing 75% of their shots...and they provide no real AI scariness, which for the feeble minded means that enemies overlook them and always target you as the biggest threat. So again, can you explain mechanically how great this AI is again?

How to get support help from 343 Industries?
Twinreaper replied to Nilsson's topic in General Discussion
Fix please you're English grammar, or support no for your Halo: The Master Chief Collection. I jave yet to see the issue you are having talked about. Os it simply you just want the addon campaign for free? As for the above post....they are NOT telling you to come here by site name. If that were true, where is the proof of this that I have repeatedly asked for showing the site 343industries.org being mentioned. Its not Xbox Supports fault that most people in this world fail basic comprehention and or can't read once they arrive at a search result or site. -
My only suggestion would be to learn how to use port forwarding and triggering to open LIVE ports directly to your console. Also depending on your ISP provider and equipment, you may be limited. Ex: Comcasts new mandatory Wireless Gateway equipment. Your missing a huge point and general preferrence in MCC. Halo 2 was what the title was based around. Halo 2 was the only Halo with actual multiplayer that wasn't any longer available for any Xbox platform. Hence why it is often the picked map type. As to which maps are picked, the same lame overplayed ones will always get picked. Ex: Coagulation, Beavercreek, Lockout etc...

Halo 2 PC Add-On: Twintacular Map Pack
Twinreaper replied to Twinreaper's topic in Halo 2 + Anniversary
Since I reworked the maps to exclude normal map breaking guidelines, these maps will indeed be able to be hosted and will require no workarounds or patches in order to play them. -
The word "love" should never be used in the same sentence as my name. Just sayin...

Aside from the power requirements management/hardware/virtualization side of things, the game could indeed run on the 360, provided less intensive rendering detail objects were removed and the entired Direct Draw shader/rendering system were optimized like they did with Halo 4. Those pesky middlemans aside, it simply wouldnt work as easily as one would assume. Halo 5 is being developed on an x86 architecture and previous games were designed on a platform built on x64 architecture. The change over is not as easy as pushing a button. While Microsoft would stand to make a profit, the 2 systems would each have their own isolated, non negotiable multiplayer and solo gameplay. The profits from a 360 version would NOT make up for another inferior version of LiVE servers for the game. Not to mention the patchwork and title updates involved.
-
Hmmm..... That's a good question then my friend. Most of the issues like the one you have are overseas in places like Australia. Although while you may indeed use the same ISP, your individual home network setups can and will either cause issues or problems with the Live service.

To correct the following wrong information... 1. 343i outsourced campaign visual overhauls as well as multiplayer. Internally THEY handled the coding to bring everything together. The faults with MCC are strictly server side which IS 343i. 2. Halo Reach WAS co-developed by 25 members of 343i and Bungie. It was used to teach 343 how to handle the engine. Frankie was literally of no integral help other than overwight management. 3. To date how many times was a Bungie developed Halo given a complete fixing patch or title update to correct bugs? See below... - Halo CE: None - Halo 2: 3, all to fix hacks, cheats and exploits. Only 1 contained matchmaking update. - Halo 3: 3, to all improved playlists and achievments and 1 to remove BXR combo. - Halo 3: ODST: none - Halo Reach: 2, one to change float damage and bloom issues, and one to correct matchmaking. Now lets look at 343 Industries end of it. - Halo 4: 5, each one including various stability or glitch fixes. -MCC: I lost count. After roughly about 7-8 updates nothing works even nearly as good as when Bungie released a title. The point is, Bungie obviously spent a lot more time delving into the bug section of their titles themselves, rather than allow the multitude of theses "Halo pros" to do it. 343i has failed time and time again in terms of quality control. Please refer to Halo Wiki for exacts on the TU's, then run them all side by side. Bungie>343 its fact. Average bug fix update for Bungie was 3. Average so far for 343i is 5.

Halo 2 PC Add-On: Twintacular Map Pack
Twinreaper replied to Twinreaper's topic in Halo 2 + Anniversary
I may add more frames around the map of I can. As I said before, Im at pretty much the engine limits. If I do add more posters of members it will have to be thru decals or spawned scenery. Since I have no tools to create a perfect render model, I have to hope one converted from CE will display texture maps correctly, Also just want to take a moment to say how sorry I am that this map pack isnt ready yet. I ran into some time restraints due to lightmapping and some errors. As soon as the maps look good enough to me, you will have your maps! -
Actually no they don't admit to their mistakes outright. Look at the bugs with MCC and the entire list of issues we have had with Halo 4. They use subterfuge and long technical responses to distance themselves from the real problem they have had in developing the last two titles. MCC is plain out ignorance and lack of any real quality programming. Do you here 343 saying, "Sorry, we didn't realize that programming a universal interface and side engine to load the games bug free was out of our scope of qualifications as a whole"? No, instead they resort to bush beating about what the real issues were. Plainly put, no one on their " crack, better than Bungie team" had what it took to make MCC happen, let alone release a stable working patch. 343 as a whole has nowhere the experience, drive or talent to make a product on par with Bungie did. I can list side by what issues both jad with every title, and the list is gonna be hugely onsided. Hate to say it, but 15 years later, Bungie went back to a game they no longer worked on or had staff who worked on it, and within a month released a brand new CE PC update. No issues, no problems, just quality. Bungie may not be the best developer aroind, but at least they were honest. I've watched a lot of VidOCs and interviews with Bungie from 1998-2009, and the one thing they always did better was deliver a mostly bug free experience and they never truly dived outside their experience and skill.
-
343 did indeed work on Halo Reach with Bungie. Bungie used Reach as a game in which 343 could get familiar with the engine and coding involved. Watch some VidOCS...
-
Well it depends on the intended use. If the images are used soley for personal property and not being ties in with any other kind of company/product/service, then permission is not required. Microsoft changed it's usage rights so that ANY Halo related items may be used for non profit personal use. If your not selling them, your solid.
-
For the record, you would be surprised just how many of hundreds of new members we get that CAN'T read or grasp that we are not rhe official forum for 343 Industries. I was just trolling a bit to see who wqs smart...for kicks really. So, sorry if that got under your skin a bit. As for a real anser to the problem, it isn't an issue with your console as much as it is an issue with the game itself. Unfortunately one of the aspects of having all the games crunched into one massive game plus a new console, is making it stable. The platform change from x64 PPC to standard x86 creates a huge stability issue. Said issue in of itself is not experienced the same all thwe time. Until 343i can make a stable patch for the game there is no solid 100% fix for this issue.

Happy 37th Day of My Birth to me!!!! yay?

If you were indeed entitled to receive ODST for free, you would have been notified over Live in your message inbox. If you did not get a code, then you did not qualify. What is your GT?

Well to start, Microsoft had nothing to do with that old commercial. That commercial was made by Bungie, before Microsoft even acquired the rights to Halo by purchasing Bungie to stave off bankruptcy. The whole point of that commercial was specifically to show the graphic capability of the Halo game which was designed first to be on Mac and PC. There would be no point in showcasing Halo 5 in the same manner for Xbox One, as Xbox One hardware is already out of date by PC market and general hardware standards. Besides which to state the obvious...what is the point in doing a commercial like Bungie did, when Halo is now only exclusive to a single console?

First let me say how sorry we are that you are experiencing issues with The Masterchief Collection. We strive to make fixes and help resolve the issues you report and we take it seriously. As a remedy for your game freezes please follow the following steps... 1. Clear the Xbox One cache files out. 2. Remove the game disc (if not installed). 3. Power off the console. 4. Move console and disc (if not installed) to a warmer area of your domicile. This should prevent your console and game from freezing. If you experience any further issues, please call 1-800-4MY-XBOX for support, or go directly to halowaypoint.com

Watch the language guys. I can see your upset about your gaming issues, but posting fowl language will do nothing to further any requested help. We at 343 Industries are very proud of all of our hard work and efforts to provide the audience with a competative experience. Perhaps if you learn to suck less at the game, that would help?
