  1. Unfortunately, Microsoft's entire division for entertainment production has been axed. FUD was the first and last major production they planned on doing. The only additional things you will ever see would be all 3rd party licensed productions or live action trailers to hype games up.

  3. Yes the mods require à JTag or mod chipped console.
  4. Unfortunatly it's due mostly to the Azure platform. Halo 3 and ODST played just fine up until Microsoft decided to release a new version of Live and shift it from a standard Server Service, over to an Azure service. The netcode itself is actually pretty well written. I will say though, that the scripting and syncing does take a whole lot of bandwidth up!
  5. Baconshelf, before I answer your questuon could you clarify it a bit better. My impression is that uou are talking about the netcode in referrence to co-op only and not AI as the topic includes. Is it just the framerate you are talking aboit? Or is there a mich broader range of issues that have you perplexed?

Honestly I get so tired of people starting off with their posts to include "I'm a die hard fan""...as if the fact you "think" your so die hard or have been playing for "x" amounts years, entitles you to be taken more seriously than anyone else who has paid good money or spent time playing the franchise. To that my response is GROW UP. Moving on....a few corrections.... 1. The announcer has always announced in-game actions since Halo 2. The level of the announcer is nothing that seems to overly ear killing. I will agree that the announcing of power weapons is silly. Basic Halo 101 was learning and coordinating the power weapons for your team. Announcing it's spawning just causes huge rushes and negates learning map flow. 2. The "kill-cam" or "post death" bits are non issues. There was always a 3rd person aerial cam view during the re-spawn timer. The fact that they added a specific kill cam feature allows the fallen player to see what exactly killed them rather than guessing where the enemy was and what weapon did them in. If you don't like anything during the re-spawn time...I suggest you close your eyes? Kill-Cams were around long before CoD btw. 3. Assassinations are OPTIONAL! If your really dumb enough to go for one in plain open sight and DON'T expect someone to take advantage of your lowered defense and response time..I suggest you stop playing or go for the simple behind kill melee. 4. To what specific jumps are you talking about? ANYONE could grenade jump or time the edge of the ledge jump and crouch. The only jumps that required any amount of timing or skill was the collision bug known as "super jumps". Besides which, I find that any player that needs to remove him/herself from action and hide in a secret spot to take out players, is how do you say it... a camper sissy *****. Prove how good you are by going toe to toe. 5. The stomping ability is not taken from CoD Advanced Warfare. The first game to feature a Ground Pound method was Crysis. If you really were a die hard fan of any games, you would know your mechanics history. I will agree that clambering and ground pound are NOT Halo-esk features and should not be in the final cut. One of the many things I miss from Halo was the use of ladders. It gave a huge risk to players and made them think twice before obtaining a possible higher position of power. Clambering kind of negates that as well as jet packs. As for the community, it is and always will be a mess of confuzzled bs. The community has no adhesion in it's desires for the franchise, nor does it get along very well within it's own sub-cultures. Add on the fact that more than half the community doesn't even understand the mechanics of the Halo engine well enough, that almost everything people post is just flat out wrong or idiotic. TL;DR

      If that is true, how does this filtration/recycle unit fit in the suit?!? I highly doubt the suit has room for a half gallon milk jug for urine and a half gallon jug for ****.

  14. So you wanna know why it all went wrong? That is a very complicated question with even more complicated answers that may or may not be correct. it all depends on your personal view about each title. Once could say they did get too ambitious yes, but this isn't really the case. Microsoft tells their developer what they want. 343i, Bungie, etc they don't tell Microsoft what THEY want to do. So by saying Microsoft got ambitious, you could instead say they overreached the amount of projects they had licensed out at one time. You could also say that they lost quality developers with Bungie's exit and choice to not renegotiate/continue a new contract for developing Halo. This however is anyone's guess, as we will never know how Halo 4 or the MCC would have turned out had Bungie did the developing. Based on the fact that they did all the titles previous to Halo 4, it is safe to assume that they would have had the entire MCC up and running without issue. Suffice to say when it comes to people's opinions on how Halo went down hill, it all started with Reach and Bungie's overwhelming desire to not want to develop Halo anymore.
  15. Sooo much fail in this topic. lmao 1. Maya is NOT an engine, it's a 3d modeling tool used to create the render_model, bsp, collision and physics models for Halo. Maya is NOT used exclusively as they also use 3ds max. 2. PERL is no the language they used to program the Blam! engine. Blam! consists of components created in C++, D3D, Havok and their own proprietary scripting engine called Megalo. 3. You need to stop smoking crack.

  19. It's not idiotic. What is idiotic, is that you expected a game that did not support client/host script syncing nor had any co-op campaign, to play flawlessly once they tried to incorporate it. Halo 2 was not meant to support co-op online at all, just like CE. The only reason CE worked so well, was because the Blam! engine version powering it, had said client/host script and predicted resource syncing.
  20. If you want to be technical, train wreck depends on your personal quarrels with the mechanics and playability of the game. For you triston, if the problems you have are the one you laid out in the OP, then I suggest you do as I suggested and modify the game to conform to your posted suggested tweaks. As for Frog, if your going to try to add some criticism to the topic rather than just post an opinion without anything to specifically give insight to said opinion, then what was the point? I could easily point out "trainwreck" games you like, and I'm sure I could cite page long data specific reasons.
  21. It all depends on what type of modding you are talking about. Multiplayer mods can be quite fun, provided the mod is NOT used to give an advantage over another player. Mods that have projectile swaps for weapons or enhance the gameplay by making it fun or challenging for everyone is NOT a bad thing. There is no current modding available on the Xbox One as it is still freshly (supposedly) being explored by the public and private keypair set used to sign code. Honestly, where do you idiots get off calling all modding bad or cheating? Do a little research, do some mods yourself, then when your a little more informed you can make an actual statement or comment about it.
