While it is silly that you can trade weapons with an AI but not another player, it does have it's drawbacks. In the heat of battle or even setting up a proper campaign of carnage against the opposite team, pop-ups can and will be distracting, and this also requires 1-3 seconds of precious time that could literally mean the difference between maintaining your power position or losing it. While there is no "ready" time for picking up weapons, your teammate may be scouting or performing another action which could also lead to faulty or unintentional swaps. At the same time, the swapping puts 2 players on the team at an instant disadvantage for those few seconds, leaving the other 2 or whatever number, fending for themselves with a huge blind spot.

Sorry lass, that aint us, and that aint how it works. If you were entitled to said free month, you will see it when you check your account status. Your Gold end date will be a month a longer than it was when you paid for your last subscription. So if you bought Gold in December for an entire year, your account should show that your account expires in january

The statements about him being significantly taller are correct. And while yes his armor could not grow with him magically, who's to say that the Librarian didn't also do something to the nanites that control his armor modifications while in stasis? For the Librarian, it would be a simple matter of manipulating the hardware to do what she wants in an instant. It is quite possible she had them re-write the armor configuration as his growth accelerated.

Lolwut? Halo CE does not use Steam. Halo CE used Gamespy for the serverlist. All CE servers are self hosted and with the 10.0 patch, the server listings are updated ingame. CE cannot run on Steam, as it was not written to. And no, you cannot make it run on Steam. Was this a seriois question?

Bungie did not give the rights to Halo, to 343i. Microsoft has held the rights since they bought bungie. Bungie was mearly the contracted developer As for Certain Affinity, they make maps period. Outside the map conpiling structure, they probavly kbow next to nothing about the engine or any tag data outside what is needed to make the level mesh. 343i is doing fine, they just need some time grow. And pkease dont say that 343i is mostly Bungie members, so they shouldnt need time to grow. In reality, maybe 30 people from Bungie make up the 144+ team of 343i. And not all those members were actual seasoned professionals.

You know I can't do that man, as much as I would like to. I take trust and my collective contacts that I have acquired over the last 15 years very seriously. Besides, I got massive amounts of school work going on. I likely won't be around much in the coming year due to my studies.

Solumn, you really need to relax with your replies. Constant entire post quoting is annoying and takes up too much space. Every single time I see something that you responded with, you have this arrogant, know-it-all nature about it. Everyone "thinks" they know what is best for Halo, but you take it way too far. I've got an even better idea! How about we all just shut up, let them make a game, stop complaining as usual and just throw your cash at them like you know your going to anyway? You know how many years I've been reading threads and "I know whats best Halo" garbage?? 13 years!!!! Yeah, for over a decade I've moderated and participated in websites that have had this exact same bull poopy thrown around since Halo CE came out. And you know what? You whiners and complainers STILL throw your fist full of cash at Microsoft for your Halo fix. You guys did it with Bungie, and yoyr doing it again with 343i. Sorry, but I disagree with everything being said about our forum. With the newest influx of members, and some existing ones, the thread style and hostility of the standard Waypoint membership is definately what we are seeing here. While our Moderators are very flexible, I also see a lot of premptive "jumping in" done by them during current thread conversations, when no intervention is really needed. While one could argue they are at times simply putting out a smolder before a fire erupts, you might as well go one step further and just disarm everyone of fire making ability. My point is, Moderators should only step in ONCE a thread has reached that level, not before. As for connections with 343i we collectively have none. Only a handfull of of members (me included), have direct access, ties or affiliation with 343i. For all direct, inderect or contact hopes you should always make Waypoint your first priority.

Garanteed, only membwrs with Service Records exceeding or meeting a certain, unlisted amount of gameplay hours will be chosen to participate, aka the "OMFG Im Such An MLG PRO, Screw Everyobe Else" crowd. Mark my words, NOT allowing everyone who plays the game to have their voice heard, will only result in a very biased and unballanced community aspect of experiences.

Ash, I choose to play origonal Halo 2 over H2A every single day. Content is not what was being discussed with Mario. And atraight to the point, every single Mario title is recycled repeating gameplay. I get more enjoyment playing Super Mario World over any sequel released. Graphics are a preference that you simply seem to prefer over actual story and gameplay. That is evident by your CE comment. Does the updated graphics improve your skill level, enhance the already existing story or improve it's replay value? No it does not. Said observation and comment is supported by the fact that even though CEA is available for play on the Xbox 360, there are 10x more players playing it on PC and Original Xbox today, over XBC and Xlink Kai. Therefore, supporting the claim somewhat, that graphics do absolutely nothing to enhance a game that already has a solid gameplay foundation. As for Metal Gear Ed, you completely ignored the fact that you got a very nice 120 point articulate figure with MGZ for what you paid. A bonus item like that alone would fetch double what you paid for the game on ebay now I'm sure. Edit..... Attached an Ebay seller for the exact same toy you got for basically free...

Yes, it is still up and running. Microsft migrated the server list over to their new XBL handling platform off Azure. That being said, finding a decent amount of servers right now is very hard. All servers are self hosted and you will only usually find 2-3 full servers at peak play times, and most are the usual redundant boring District or Coagulation maps.

See, I don't look at a game and judge it competitive or casual by it's features. To me, it's a simply a game and I either enjoy it, or I don't. Being competitive, again, starts with the PLAYER him or herself. As I tried to illustrate many many times, any game can be played competitively, regardless of features or rank system. One of the greatest and still played competitive comps they have now is Donkey Kong. Are you gonna tell me Donkey Kong was a game that was designed towards "hardcore" gamers?

This whole thread is nothing but opinion. I saw no concrete facts listed by Microsoft or a genuine solid party with no biased. The only thing I have a problem with Solumn, is when you used the phrase "343 making the game they want isn't necessarily the same game their customers want, which is far more important". Each and every customer has a different taste in what they prefer in a game. Sure you can take a collective of similar wants in a game, but your never going to give each customer the EXACT game they want. It's about compromise versus catering too much towards a certain genre or niche of players. If you recall, Bungie stated the same problems, and their first two games were NOT the games the players wanted or even remotely the games they were supposed to be. Since 343i is now in charge of Halo, it is logical to see them follow the same steps as Bungie. Their first outing with Halo 4 was less than spectacular yes, but Halo CE had the same problem. It wasn't until later on that it caught on, but that was also a new IP and the first of many to come. So in terms of success, you can't compare. But in terms of development you can. Halo 2 fell short on every front, yet is still regarded by many as the pinnacle of Halo. So much was cut from it, that the final game didn't look or play anything like the E3 demo they showed off. So again, following the development track, we should see Halo 5 become a better Halo than the previous. Now that is neither fact or opinion. That is just simply logical observation used as a hypothesis for what could happen. But again, this whole thread is simply the opinion of one member, and there is no solid backing for anything suggested.

Because obviously if it is found that we are being linked, they need to stop! Too many useless posts for help are already being put up as it is. I'm not sure what your point or statement was about graphics Ash, but graphics, do not a fun game make. I wasnt sure what that other top down Halo piece of crap was, so I just used SA to fill it in. Still, I havent seen one solid argument to my stance on the list. I never played anything Assassin's Creed, so I cannot say if that game should have been on the list.

MCC should have been on this list. Obvious biased is involved since it wasn't listed given it's massive amount of issues that STIL remain. Metal Gear and Elder Scrolls don't deserve to be on the list. Metal Gear, as you stated, Zero's was too short. Realize that Zero was meant as a side story filler until Phantom Pain releases. it was never meant as a full fledged MG entry. In terms of story and content, it is on equal footing with Spartan Assault. Funny how no mention of those Top Down abortion Halo games were mentioned. Just the fact that you got an awesome Figuring and the packaging of the MGZ game...made it worth while for the small price tag. Halo CEA is kind of the same. Why pay for a game I played 10 years ago with mediocre graphics running on top of the old ones? Graphics don't make it more fun. Which brings me to Elder Scrolls. Elder Scrolls is a long lasting fun franchise that delivered on combat. The graphics are not bad either given the good amount of LOD included in the complete open world environment. Watchdogs should have been on the list before MG or ES any day of the week.

I highly doubt that Microsoft or Xbox Support, specifically directed you to this site by name and address. They told you to go 343i's official website, and you probably did a Google search. Unfortunately for us, Google as well as other various search engines will list us in the top 3 relevant search results. Regardless, if you had paid any attention to the news and coverage surrounding the MCC issues, you would have already known that ANY XBL account that had valid Gold status during the issues, would receive an automatic credit for one additional month of Xbox Live without having to complete any form, response or otherwise. For a community that supposedly is so INVOLVED with Halo and everything Halo, I find it humorous that troves of morons will overlook, ignore or not even notice information that is passed along via new sources regarding Halo. It's no wonder the franchise is in the state it is in. everyone is too busy arguing amongst themselves, rather than pay attention and pass along feedback to the proper outlets. Yes, I really did just waste my 2,000th on something stupid like this. I'm ashamed of myself.

Again, we are not the official website for 343 Industries, we are a fan forum. And if we were the official website, do you really think your language is going to get you the response or remedy your looking for. We can all see your upset with the issues your having, but constant flaming about with profanity is not going to help you or others. You need to report these bugs to Halowaypoint or thru the Xbox Dashboard of you really want to help 343i fix the game.

Its pointless to even attempt weighing in on this anymore. Noone seems to be able to keep track of what they post, and my response to it. Wargod, you posted a link in which the article clearly blames the MCC for the lack of Xbox marketshare. And, competitive or not ANYONE who spends money on a product and uses said product either occassionally, excessively or otherwise, has every right to have their opinion or experience matter. In no way shape or form was advertised that Dedicated Servers were going to be superior, nor was it infered as such. That is the misconception of the term as the general population percieves it. And for the record, Halo CE was a very broken game. No Halo outside of the 5 Beta had anything but P2P support incorporated into it's netcode outside Halo 2 PC and Halo PC. Local Access Netcode is a completely different seperate network model than online matchmaking. As I stated before, I'm a developer myself. I understand the mechanics on a whole different level than the players. Just because I spend my time with the actual development aspect, does not in any way diminish, or negate my say in what I see or experience gameplay wise. You can take that high horse opinion if you wish, bit I do not agree. And before you decide to flame again, I dont play anything Halo except CE and Halo 2, and I dont plan to buy an Xbox 360 or Xbox One.
