  1. I just want to say that it has been a pleasure knowing you all. Forces beyond my control may take me away from my lfe and friends for an either short or extended time. I just want to say thank you to everyone whom I have come to respect and love, and more important...call friends. I love you all!

  2. ^^^Watch the language pal. WE ARE NOT THE OFFICIAL 343!!! Go to Halowaypoint and curse over there. Trash like you will fit right in over at that massive dump.
  3. OMFG Forget it, every single one of you OBVIOUSLY knows the mechanics way better than me. But please, continue to spout your ignorance as I now stand back and watch. it amuses me...
  4. lmao you have no idea about how scoping works. Scoping in halo has never been an animation. It's a HUD widget call from bitmaps. That video clearly shows an animation of the weapon scope being lowered and raise with the br, as well as the model for non-scope weapons such as the magnum, using a combination of camera panning as well as the model being drawn to the middle of view.
  5. Correction, ADS is actual ADS. They stated there will be a varrying difference between hip fire and using ADS. Halo has always had an instant scope_mask for zooming, including binoculars for when a weapon had no scope. In the clip there is no instant zooming, as you have to wait for the animation to play, bringing the scope up to your eye. If it was instant or simply as you called it, "a re-skin", then you wouldn't see the animation.
  6. Hated Halo 4 kid, you don't know me. But please keep trolling and I'll pretend I care. Fresh Kills, **** off. I don't suck up to anyone. I hate everything past Halo 3 and I certainly am not one of the dribbling lemming idiots who actually bought MCC. You clearly don't know what the term "broken" really means. Again, the game itself is fine, it's the servers that have issues. But go ahead little kid, continue to mouth off. It's not my fault your uncle touched you when you were little when you were sleeping, and you still have a lot of residual anger towards men. Tell your mom I'll be over later.
  7. Ok once and for all QUIT WHINING ABOUT A REFUND!!!! The product is not broken. The product you bought was a video game. The game itself works fine. There is nothing broken about what is on the disc. The issues you are all experiencing have to do with the servers that host matchmaking, and stream the cinematics, along with additional content. YOU DID NOT BUY THE SERVERS!!! Their server issues are classified as technical difficulties. So why do you feel you need a refund? Are you going to cry to Amazon or Apple, that you want a refund for your entire music collection if their servers go down for a week due to hardware failure or an unforeseen accident? No, you wouldn't. Here's an idea.....SUCK IT UP! It's a video game! Try going outside and interacting with (gasp) actual humans in the physical non-virtual world for a change. Realize that you can still play the game quite fine offline. Can you access some features offline, no. But guess what, you cans till play. Show me where it states that 343i guarantees a set number of matches or probability of finding a match in legal disclosure? Oh yeah...you can't. Shut up, sit down, and wait for server and content fixes to come. And I hope that if you DO manage to get a refund, that 343i is smart enough to block your console and make you buy a new disc to play it. In no way shape or form should you get a refund, but someone 2 months from now, has to pay full price to play when you don't.
  8. Why did you guys even reply to this. This guy obviously can't read and is a total moron anyway. Halo 2 thread being posted in a Halo 5 section?
  9. Hey idiots, WE ARE NOT THE OFFICIAL 343!!!!! Does anyone read this thread before posting? No probably not. #1 Sorry your having problems but we can't help you. 2# connection problems don't equate to a game being broken, nor does uneven matches. Go to Halowaypoint and cry your nonsense over there! Thanks! Can we lock we this now?
  10. My gif is from Constantine the series. Speaking of which, I gotta get you a new one. The one you had was leaking huge bandwidth from the azure server, causing my data plan to go over. I'm workin on a good one for you. Unless you have one in mind? And sorry to hear your having all those issues. We can only hope they finally get a strangle hold on it all before it's too late, and they lose a majority of the games fanbase.
  11. You can relax Mags, van here has been around for a while. he's just venting well deserved hate. Fact is, the updates did not fix all the problems and even created some new ones. People have a right to be mad about it.
  12. All AI requires Pathfinding. Triggers in Forge are not real "Volume triggers". They are premade events that are scripted. Triggers require a lot more than simply placing like in Forge. The backend work to make them is daunting, not to mention the linking of AI Zones, AI Squads, and the myriad of settings for all dependent tags. Simply put, it aint ever gonna happen! Which is why such modifications are only done on computer ports. Don't get me wrong, it's a fabulous idea to increase replay value, but it's not feasible on consoles. No real editing is.
  13. Seriously? Your gonna compare Halo MCC to a Power Point Presentation that is likely work or school related. Windows doesn't require forced updates for starters. You can choose to be notified when they are ready and when you want them installed. Second, I wasn't aware that video game playing was a major in High School or a position in a Fortune 500 Company. Suck it up, and replay the mission. What's the big deal? You love the games so much you bought them all over again to begin with. So what's the big deal in replaying the campaign a dozen times over?
  14. Yeah MCC is a broken game, there is no denying that. BUT understand that such a game like MCC is bound to be full of glitches, bugs and broken content due to the massive undertaking of the project. I'm not saying that everyone has no reason to be mad, I'm just sayin that you all cried for what you wanted, and you got it, so suck it up! To recap, you got 4 games, tossed into a universal UI manimenu in which megaloscript is calling not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4......but 5 engines at once!!! Well not at once, but it is executing 3 engines NOT DESIGNED FOR XB1 compatability!!! Halo CEA through 3 require console side emulation in order for the original engines to be launched. Do you have any idea how much rigging it must of took to do that? Probably not, because all I hear is whining little brats who just cry about issues, but know nothing about those issues and just cry foul about how they need to be fixed. If you think it's so easy to do, fix it yourself! Me? yeah I can cry fowl, cause I know how the engine works, tag relationships, dependencies, XEX launching and Megolscript and the Blam! network model. If I wanna cry about it I can, I've earned that right, cause I know whats going on. You? You have not. So please take your cry baby complaints where they need to go, over to HaloWayPoint.com. And please, stop with the BS "I have been with halo forever" comments...like they actually mean something.
  15. All these small achievements are great for the scientific community. They may be small steps now, and show how how much we have progressed, but it is unlikely to see anything at a 1/4 of Star Trek level for at least about 500 years or more. Based on how chaotic and unstable the world is as a whole, as well as the financial and monetary importance we place on things, funding larger ventures will not be easy. It's easy to say that we should do things and be able to do them, but it is quite another finding funding.
  16. Well that's the trade off. While yes you could compile all needed resources into a map and allow people to customize it, but that custom ability would be limited only to the type of enemies that spawn or how many. Consoles don't possess the needed resources or ability to fully edit or create a true custom expereience. Even the original FarCry with the terrain editing was pushing it, and that was written on Cryengine, which is a completely different beast than Blam!
  17. Unfortunatly my friend, this is what happens you try to mash up 4 games into one unified UI and xex. You get a mountain of problems. Megaloscript has been used in a weird way to allow all 4 games to be run at any time, and UI issues as well as control configurations are one of many casualties. I hope it gets fixed for you soon.
  18. Correct you are E-Runner. AI requires zones, triggers, pathfinding and a few other dependent information. Some Forge items are already checked as "AI Pathfinding", meaning that no matter what map or instance, the AI will see it and act accordingly. But that doesnt solve spawning, or the myriad of behavior issues. For example, search for the Bear Tower FarCry 4 video. It shows what happens when you simply try to just drop an AI onto a map with terrain. It doesnt go as planned obviously. Something as advanced as AI, requires not only that the single_player engine be called into use, but AI has to be compiled into a map.
  19. How would that work as DLC? Reach is not included, hence no way to call the specific engine version the maps were compiled to run on. They would have to completely redo them to match the Halo 4 or H2A variant of Blam! currently in use. So...good luck with that!
  20. Just a reminder, we are not the official 343. We are a fan site. We appreciate the responses and sharing of the issues, but we here CANNOT FIX THEM. If you want to ask 343i direct questions or receive direct feedback, go over to their official site at HaloWayPoint.
  21. We are not the official 343i, we are a fan site. There is no need for the use of that language, as no one will take you seriously if you talk like that. I suggest you head over to HaloWaypoint to voice your concerns.
